NORFOLK WELKS 14 Judge(s): MR MAX KING NORFOLK JUDGE WELKS 14 MPD (3.1) A difficult class to start with as both decided to show their teenage side. 1. Simpson’s Megalex Now or Never. One day over 6 months and it was a case of now or never, particularly on the move, settled going round initially then decided he did not want to cooperate and suddenly a switch seemed to be clicked and he started to believe in himself and gained confidence. Sturdy made type, still needs plenty of time but coat coming through well. 2. Phillips’ Blakens I Look To You. Decisions could have easily have been reversed and another displaying typical youthful characteristics, well made throughout liked rear quarters and should mature nicely. PD (1) 1. Lloyd’s Orison Midnight Myth. 10 month old b/t, nice shaped head, dark eye, small neat ears, giving overall good expression, better trimming and presentation could help the topline, not always settling on the move. JD (2) 1. Gee’s Watecroft In A Pickle. Attractive young dog, nice shape and size presenting very nice outline, strong head, nice nerck and shoulders, well bodied, moved freely, pushed hard for further honours. 2. Atkinson’s Blakens Sugar Candy Dips. Another nice type, well proportioned head, strong neck, short level back, strong quarters, not as free or as fluid as 1 on the move. PGD (3.1) 1. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Roll Call. Liked overall type, size and shape, broad skull, dark eye, nice ears, very well made shoulders, good neck, coat in good order, moved soundly. 2. Simpson’s Umbrage Longton Cum Megalex. Longer cast than 1 and not as strong in the head, coat not in best of order. LD (3.2) 1. Phillips’ Blakens The Kandy Man Kan. I am sure he can and a little unlucky today, very nicely balance and masculine young dog and presented in tip top form, good head proportions, well bodied, level topline just spoiled occasionally by carrying tail flat over back, coat in very good condition and texture, moved soundly both ways. Res Dog CC. OD (3) 1. Jenkins’ Kinsridge Cash Back. Stood out and demanded attention, super breed type throughout, masculine and full of presence without exaggeration or coarseness, good head, correct bite, well set ears, dark eye, giving good expression, nice neck and shoulders, well bodied and coat in excellent condition, true and free mover. Pleased to award him his crowning CC and BOB. 2. Newton’s Strathinver Smart Enough. Another who seemed to fit his name, as he looked very smart today, liked outgoing and active personality and alert at all times, Good expression from well balanced head, super body type with well sprung ribs, coat in good order, moved true, very close when it came to the Challenge for Reserve. 3. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Seduction. MPB (7.2) 1.Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Summer Crunch. Good overall type and developing nicely for age, head needs to finish but time can only improve, nice neat ears, good body shape, coat very good for age, moved OK. BP 2. Jenkins’ Kinsridge Top Tip. Not quite as forward as 1 but another whose coat was a credit for his age, displays lots of potential. 3. Saltmarsh’s Pipsridges Holly. PB (3) 1. Campbell’s Nordalset Mad About You. Head could be trimmed better to improve overall expression and appearance, nice angulation and rear quarters, coat coming through OK, moved freely. 2. Gardener’s Perrisblu Liberty at Danalas. Good head with correct bite and large white teeth, carrying ears a little low, nicely bodied. 3. Philip’s Nordalset Truly Madly. JB (2.1) 1. Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Play The Ace. Nice and very appealing type, good head, broad skull, good mouth, very strong neck, well made shoulders, short level back with plenty of substance behind the tail, coat in good condition but I would prefer more coat on the underside of the body to enhance outline, moved with purpose and fluidity. Bitch CC, another winning crowning CC today. PGB (6.3) 1. Atkinson’s Moortops Again No Choice. Compact and strong type, good head with well defined stop, well bodied, carried both head and tail well standing and on the move, good coat, won class on movement. 2. Jenkins’ Strathiver Roses are Red at Kinsridge. Liked overall type and condition and texture of coat, but let herself down by pulling inwards towards handler when moving and not really settling. 3. Macartney’s Nordalset Little Bit of Sun. LB (4.1) 1. Saltmarsh’s Pipsridge Hazel. Nice overall shape, broad skull would prefer a little more strength of muzzle to balance the head, good neck and shoulders, compact body with well set tail, harsh coat, moved out freely. 2. Gullick & Mark’s Marks Paula to Jaeva. Outgoing type, coat not in best of conditions, a little loose on the move. 3. Lloyd’s Orison Thunder Cloud. OB (5.1) 1. Phillips’ Ch Blakens Sugar Candy Kisses. Worthy Champion and looked very good today with super outline, shape and size, nicely shaped head, well balanced body, muscular hindquarters, in good coat, moved well in class but not putting 100% in during the final challenge. Res Bitch CC. Litter sister to LD winner and both display good breed virtues. 2. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Just Magic. Feminine head, small dark eye, well set ears, well balanced neck, good body and in good condition, but not settling on the table which seemed to affect her confidence. 3. Gee’s Watercroft Top of The Pops. Max King (Judge)
