I would like to thank the committee of Three Counties Canine Society for the invitation to judge Norfolk Terriers. I was very pleased with the entry and would like to thank my super stewards who kept the ring running smoothly.  It was a shame we had rain that day and had to go inside as the hall was terribly noisy and not all the dogs coped well with it.

PD (3.0)

1 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Cookie Monster: Quality 9mth B&T puppy with beautiful breed type. Liked him for size, good head and expression, well placed ears. Correct length of neck flowing into well placed shoulders, could be longer in rib & shorter in loin. Moved out well with plenty of enthusiasm holding a level top line as he went. Pushed the older puppy hard. RDCC.

2 Thompson-Morgan’s Layhefields Great Ridge at Belleville:  Not as mature as 1 but he has a lovely head and expression, nice dark eye, good neck, well placed shoulder. Would prefer more spring and length of rib. I have seen this pup move better than he did today but he wasn’t keen on the noise in the hall.  Presented in tip top form and beautifully trimmed.

3 Darnell’s Kinsridge Smart Cookie with Jacquidon.

1 Smith’s Javidel Repeat If I May: I fell for this puppy, he’s smart and full of quality. Short & cobby, low to the ground, loved his outlook full of mischief. Great head and expression, well set ears, dark eye. Enough neck, short back with good length & spring of rib. Moved around the ring like he owned it, super tail carriage DCC.

2 Hess & Higgins’ Umbrage July In Paris: Red male of 13 mths. Liked his head and eye, could have a stronger muzzle but great expression, he was nice in his neck and shoulder, needs to spring his rib which will make him look more compact. Moved out well.

3 Jenkins’ Royal Osito Rebel Rouser At Kinsridge (imp ESP).

PGD (4,1)

1 Daws, Toms & Toms’ Jaeva Party Boy: Dark red boy in excellent coat and condition. Well proportioned head, good bite and well placed ears. Liked his front which he used well on the move, shorter in back than 2nd. Had an excellent straight tail, went well for his handler.

2 Pont’s Tinkave In The Groove with Belleville: Lighter dog with not as good a coat as 1. He had a pleasant head with a dark eye and good bite. I would like a shorter back and longer rib. On the move he was playing his handler up making him go wide in front. He had an excellent straight tail.

3 Jones’ Jaeva Raising Hell.

LD (4,0)

1 Ward’s Littlemount Celyn Y Mor: I have seen this dog many times before and he always puts on a good performance. Lovely strong head with a super expression, excellent big teeth, great strength to his jaw. Excellent bone, good length of neck and shoulder. Would prefer him shorter in the back but has an excellent spring & length of rib. He has one of the best tails and he moved out well. He was in tip top coat and condition.

2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Wordsmith: Liked his head and expression, dark eye and nicely placed ear. Enough bone. I would prefer him shorter in his back and he wasn’t moving out well today with his handler.

3 Harrison’s Jacquidon Rich tea.

OD (2,0)

1 Smiths Javidel May You Never: Red, 2yr old dog, short and cobby. Loved his type, nice strong head with good eye, enough neck, short back, low to the ground. He was a little hesitant at times on the move but when settled moved out ok.

2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Infamous Colin: Bigger dog than winner. Good head and expression with neat ears, liked him in neck and shoulder. Longer cast than 1. In good coat and condition but was a little nervous on the table. He moved out well once he settled into his stride, super tail and set.

PB (4,1)

1 Dragon & Tate’s Rambles Ruby At Jaeva: 3 very nice puppies all at different stages but my winner was the most mature of the 3. Red bitch, lovely type of just 10 months. Lovely strong head with dark oval shaped eye and well defined stop, her muzzle was strong and well filled under the eye. Her neck was the correct length and she was well ribbed and short in back. She has plenty of bone. Great temperament, moved out well. Pleased to award her RBCC & BPIB, was so pleased to see her go PG3.

2 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Petty Cash: quality red puppy still very immature. She has a lovely head and expression, nice dark eye, neatly carried ears. She was ok in neck and shoulder, nice bone and feet, short and cobby. Full of breed type in full coat today, moved out well.

3 McCartneys Nordalset Storming In To Ivrig.

JB (4,3)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Firestar: A quality neat red puppy. Liked her head and expression, her ears could be better placed as she carries them quite high on the move which spoils the look. I liked her in neck and shoulder, well off for bone but her front needs to tighten. Good tail and set, showed well.

PGB (5,2)

1 Tate & Wren’s Jaeva On The Run: Quality little bitch of lovely breed type. Dark red in excellent coat and condition, super head and expression, neat ears and dark oval eye. Nice strength to her muzzle, correct length of neck into well placed shoulders, short and compact. She was one of the few that was well muscled, moved and showed well.

2 Jones’ Jaeva Runner Duck: another quality bitch in excellent jacket today. She too had a good head with a great expression with neatly set ears. She was slightly longer cast than the winner but moved out for the handler so well.

3 Barrow’s Kinsridge Pink Diamond.

LB (3.2)

1 Brackner’s Brupurhat Spirits Gift: 2yr quality mature bitch who was in fine fettle today. She is short, cobby and low to the ground as the standard asks for. She has a good head, excellent bite but would prefer slightly smaller eyes to be picky. Has an excellent spring and depth of rib, moved out well when the handler slowed down. She won on her maturity & temperament. She never took her eyes of her handler was pleased to award her CC & BOB.

2 Dragon & Tate’s Wielenshoeve Time Will Tell At Jaeva (imp Deu) TAF:  B&T quality bitch in short harsh coat. Liked her head, good mouth, strong muzzle, neatly placed ears. Loved her bone and feet. Good length of neck into a well laid shoulder, excellent spring of rib, slightly longer cast than winner, moved well for her handler.

OB (3,2)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Counting Stars: litter sister to the JB winner. Another quality exhibit from this kennel. Good head and expression but has the same ears as her sister. Liked her expression on the table. She was well bodied holding her topline on the move, good tail. Not in the best jacket today. I wasn’t convinced they were liking the large board behind the table today.

VB (1,0)

1 McCartney’s Ivrig Dancing In The Sun: Red bitch, lovely breed type, good head and expression, short and cobby. Moved out well for her handler.
