NORFOLK THREE COUNTIES 14 Judge: Miss J S Moyes BEST OF BREED : 4798 PHILLIPS, Mrs B, GULLICK, Mr A & TATE Mrs K Jaeva Cufflink NORFOLK JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 14 Norfolk Terriers Quality entry, thank you. I was more than pleased with my line-ups. Competition for places was hot! PD (5,1a) 1 Jenkins’s Krisma Flashback to Kinsridge, gorgeous pup, in gorgeous coat showing his socks off. Well balanced head with good width between the ears, expressive eyes, good bite. Good neck leading into well placed shoulders. Compact body, good rear. Short legs with good bone. Looked like he was enjoying himself, moving out well. BP; 2 Devereux’s Vichea Storm Trooper, slightly longer in back than 1 & not quite the strength in skull. However his head is balanced, with neat small ears & a varminty expression. Good short straight legs, will look better when he drops in body. Moved very well, beautifully presented; 3 Lloyd’s Orison Midnight Myth. JD (1) 1 Gee’s Watercroft In A Pickle, stood alone but it would have taken a good one to beat him. He presents a beautiful outline, good masculine head, correct eye shape. Short back, short legs, good substance & bone. Strode out well. PGD (2,1) 1 Phillip’s Nordalset Got That Look, smart dog, another lovely head of good balance, broad in skull with good strength to muzzle, good eye & ear shape, in good coat. Broad hindquarters but moving a little too wide today. LD (2,1) 1 Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Cufflink, red dog, stunning! Put down to perfection. Gorgeous head, good length of neck, clean sloping shoulders, short in back, strong short legs. All male but in a compact frame, striding out with purpose. Another Ch. For this kennel today. CC & BOB. OD (2) 1 Jenkins’s Kinsridge Cash Back, two beautiful red dogs, just preferred the head shape of 1. Broad skull, well set ears, lovely eye of correct shape. Strong wedge shaped muzzle. Chunky short body, short strong legs. Attractive mature coat, both showing their socks off. RCC; 2 Green’s Wharfvalley Diamond Star, personality plus! A smart dog in great condition, presented & shown in top form. Not quite the strength of muzzle as 1, but everything else is spot on. PB (7,2) 1 Gee’s Watercroft Top Tipple, quality class, correct for size. Feminine, but strength in head shape, good length of neck, short level back, & good tail set. Compact & cobby, in good coat. Moved well; 2 Saltmarsh’s Pipridges Holly, I adored this bitch’s head of good shape, good ears, eye & muzzle giving a kindly disposition. May I say she looked like an old fashioned Norfolk (not a bad thing), she reminded me of ones I knew in the past. Shown & presented in good form, slightly longer in body than 1; 3 Hurrion’s Villassa Smart ‘N’ Savvy. JB (6,1) 1 Hurrion’s Villassa Star Turn, lovely class, top 3 could change places, but this bitch outmoved all today, she is also lower to ground & shorter in back than the others. She has a quality head, good front & rearquarters & a coat of good texture. Presented & shown to advantage; 2 Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Play The Ace, a beautiful headed bitch that was presented to perfection, but I found her up on the leg & slightly longer in length than 1. Hope she drops in body as she matures; 3 Green’s Wharfvalley Wild Child. PGB (4,2) 1 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Whoops A Daisy, my notes say cute! A bitch of small stature, carrying a well balanced head with the neatest of ears, good in body shape & condition. Moving well enjoying herself; 2 Owens’ Penmire Lilac, not the compact shape of 1, but has a good head & shown in quality condition. LB (4,1) 1 Jenkins’s Strathinver Roses Are Red at Kinsridge, these two put up a good fight for their places & movement was the deciding factor. Lovely head properties, very good forequarters, good legs & neat round feet. Deep chest, strong in topline, powerful rear, good tailset. Liked her size, handled well; 2 Gee’s Watercroft Hot Diamonds, these two were very close up, excellent balanced head, with lovely eye shape, good neck & shoulders. Good body of substance, standing over plenty of ground. Tip-top condition, just needs to tighten up in movement; 3 Owens’ Penmire Lilac. OB (4,1) 1 Gee’s Watercroft Top Of The Pops, with the chance of repeating myself, another great class, not quantity but definitely quality. Loved this bitch’s skull to muzzle ratio, with dark eye & neat set ears giving attractive expression. Good wedge shape to muzzle. Short back, cobby body & short well boned legs. Great coat condition & presentation top drawer. Moving well. Her third CC I was told; 2 Smith’s Javidel Definitely Maybe, beautiful b/t, I was wondering where the b/ts were, never mind this one will do! Very good head & eye shape, good length of neck flowing into shoulders, level topline, well muscled hindquarters adding power to her movement. Just being picky, she is a little leggy at the moment but it did not detract from her otherwise all round qualities. RCC; 3 Hurrion’s Villassa All My Heart. JULIE MOYES |
