NORFOLK THREE COUNTIES 09 Judge/s:Mrs F A Somerfield
Norfolk Terriers PD (4,1a) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Blacklace, very pleasing b/t, good head, bright sparkling eyes, nice ears, good front, nice body, coat coming well. BP; 2 Gee’s Strathinver Spellbinder, slightly bigger red who can knit together a little more, good neck & shoulders, well made hindquarters, well presented; 3 Crawley & Fraser’s Jaeva Midas Touch at Saltarello. JD (4,1) 1 Phillips & Sargent’s Jaeva Pocket Rocket, good head with nice strong muzzle & very good teeth, good body, bone & rib, in nice coat; 2 Rayner’s Mstease Making Mayhem, b/t not in as good coat as 1, good head shape, pleasing bone, legs & feet, well made firm hindquarters; 3 Saltmarsh’s Pipridges Hot Basil. PGD (3,1) 1 Simpson’s Megalex Measure Twice, short coupled big ribbed red, well made strong hindquarters, dense coat; 2 M Making Mayhem. LD (5) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Kapitada Dandy Lion at Belleville, well balanced pleasing dog in good red coat, nice head, good expression, well made & moved accordingly once he settled, in good condition. RCC; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Told You So, young dog who is not as ready in coat & I would like better feet, otherwise everything to like. Good head, showed very well; 3 Moore’s Belleville Another Wizard at Bannings. OD (5) 1 Jenkins’ Ch Kinsridge Top Dollar, classical body & shape, lovely head full of expression, good forehand, in top coat & condition, moved & showed well. CC & BOB; 2 Phillips, Gullick & Nieminen’s Fin Ch Heilurihannan From Me To You, good dog so well handled, 1 had the edge in head & expression though his eye is a touch darker, good rich red coat, can steady a little in action; 3 Cooper’s Jaeva Tril-Bee among Settrenda. PB (7,1) Nice class but difficult to judge with the differences in age. 1 Atkinson’s Moortop Shandy Choice, pleasing head, good body & bone but carrying too much weight today, good rich red coat, I admired for her perfect tail carriage; 2 Newton’s Strathinver Red Red Rose, not just as pleasing in coat or muzzle but a very smart girl, well made with good neck & topline, well made hindquarters; 3 Gee’s Watercroft Mayfair Lady. JB (6,3) Three good bitches. 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Intuition, very smart, attractive & feminine, good neck, shoulders & topline, well bodied, nice firm hindquarters, moved with drive; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Skip Away, good head, ears & expression, very pleasing to go over, well bodied. Could be steadier behind on the move; 3 Horne’s Golden Breeze. PGB (8,1) 1 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Daisy Chain, very nice bitch, good showgirl, pleasing head, nice body & rib, good hindquarters, moved soundly; 2 Matell’s Cracknor Cutting A Dash, very good Norfolk but carrying extra weight which affected her general appearance, very good body & rib & short coupled, pleasing head & expression; 3 Atkinson’s Moortop Mary’s Choice. LB (7,3) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Silk Petticoat, very good young bitch, feminine, good head & expression, pleasing body, rib & shape, strong hindquarters, in good coat & condition; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Smart Delight, I also liked very much, pleasing head, very good shape, coat not as good as 1 on the day; 3 Claydon’s Brymarden Copper Kettle. OB (8,2) Good class. 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Lucky Dice, very nice quality bitch of pleasing size, feminine, well balanced, good neck, shoulders, topline & tailset, well coupled, nice hindquarters, in lovely coat & condition, moved & showed well. CC; 2 Newton’s Strathinver Be Smart, I also liked very much, super body & rib, well balanced, good head, well made hindquarters & drove well on the move. Not quite the finish in coat of 1.
