NORFOLK SKC MAY 19 Judge(s): MRS E P HOLLINGS DCC CH WATERCROFT CALLING TIME (MRS R GEE) No secret how much I love this breed and as I had an abundance of quality, this appointment was a delight. PD (3) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Just A Minute. Well this was a good start, I would have been happy with any of these 3 to win and feel, they can each make up, with little trouble! So I had to decide places on today’s performance. This one is super, masculine with lovely head strong muzzle and underjaw, angulation in both ends which means he has ease of reach and drive, with that added poise and attitude he went on to win the class and Res CC. Well deserved. 2 Gee’s Watercroft To Coin A Phrase. Type and balance is evident, and preparation of the hard, red coat was grand (as were all 3). He has such good construction, therefore foot fall is right and held it together on the move, just not as, ‘up for it’ as winner. 3 Smith’s Javidel Mayde To Order. JD (2) 1 Hadfield’s Belleville Born To Be Free. This lad has a super expression from dark sparkling eye and strong clean head piece. He has well laid shoulder and return of upper arm, so has neat elbows and goes true in front. Level back, tail on top. Width to rump and strong short hock. Confident personality and sound moving round. 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Crumble Topping. Thought he would be my winner, beautifully prepared and handled quietly to advantage. He is masculine, compact with classic outlook from lovely head ending at strong jaw. Not quite the reach in front of the winner, but quality cannot be denied. PGD (4) 1 Atkinson’s Moortop Mymark Again. No mistaking he is male, but not over done. He is very soundly put together and so satisfying to go over. Presented in fit muscular order, he goes with ground cover and purpose. 2 Gee’s Watercroft Gold Coin. Looking at the catalogue this chap seems to be producing the goods. Easy to see why when you go over him, broad, balanced skull, super ear used to advantage. Strong jaw housing big white teeth. Stand square on good legs and feet. Strong set on. Works it on the move. Both turned out well in quality coat. 3 Meldram’s Shersal Gold Charm. LD (2) Two Strong, typy boys. 1 Karvo Seiloo’s Blakens Look The Part. Did all asked to win here. He presents a good outline and, hands on is constructed with good angles both end, has bone and body and decent set on. 2 Smith’s Javidel Despicable May. If this naughty lad had have done his job, it could have been a different story, as, initial look, he caught my attention. Really quality throughout, shapely, all male. Super head, flowing neck short firm back. Big bum with strong tail on top. When I caught a glimpse of him performing properly on the move, he has positive foot fall, so his future looks bright. OD (2) 1 Gee’s Ch Watercroft Calling Time. Well this kennel has it all going on at the moment, producing cracking Norfolks. He is small masculine with legs. Super ear set with brain room in balanced skull. Stop enhances his outlook. Punishing muzzle housing strong teeth. His neck has length from lay of shoulder and width into shoulder. Ribs are sprung to short muscled loin. Big bum with quality behind and drives off short strong hock with an attitude, never loosing shape. Super coat. Took it up a step in the challenge. CC & BOB. 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Major Key. Masculine, pleased in head with width to slightly rounded skull, super eye and ear, correct stop an has power in muzzle. Really well turned out in good body & coat, he has confidence and bustling action. Both theses expertly handled and presented. VD (1) 1 Green’s Ch Wharfvalley Diamond Star. 9 years and really on it. Very fit, free and active on the move. He fulfils the needs of the standard and in perfect body weight, no middle age spread here! Easy to see he has his title. BV. SBD (1) 1 Hadfield’s Belleville Born To Be Free. Repeat. Deservedly won the SB Group. Don’t think he will be eligible for this class long. PB (3,1) 1 Smith’s Javidel Mayde To Measure. What a charmer this lovely youngster is. She is compact, the sweetest of heads, yet not weak, shapley, compact body. Presented in super order, harsh well fitting coat and great character. One for the future for sure. 2 Tate’s Jaeva Peppermint. Lot to like soundly put together. Only a baby yet. Alert and active with true action. Holds herself together. Presented in quality wiry coat. JB (1) 1 Phillips’ Just The One At Blakens Taf. This is a gorgeous bitch to look at. Loved her personality, so very typical in shape. Real bustling Norfolk with good footfall. Fabulous red harsh coat. Presented so well. She is very pretty. LB (1) 1 Meldram’s Purland Charmer At Shersal.Very feminine. Alert, happy to please and doing her job admirably. She has good spring of rib, firm loin and was in super coat of correct texture. OB (3,1) Both quality girls. 1 Gee’s Ch Watercroft Pink Fizz. This red has the most gorgeous expression with a hint of naughtiness from dark well set eye. Alert, lively. The forehand I have come to expect from this kennel, keep it up! Compact with spring of rib and short developed loin. Good set on and width to rump. Muscle definition. Fabulous presentation. Classic Norfolk, who those starting out at the open shows need to see, to get type in their head. Thought she would be BOB, but the male - her stable mate - just cracked on and grabbed it from her. CC. 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville In The Black. Immaculate and substance coupled with femininity. This B&T had all I was looking for, surprised she doesn’t have CH. before her name. Folk often think in a reasonably numerically small breed, it is ease to win. I find it can be harder. She has a real terrier character and so it was close, therefore in good company she had the Res CC. Judge Patsy Hollings
