NORFOLK JUDGE RICHMOND 19

SBD (1)

1 Walker’s Hedgefield Brucey Baby. A typey d with a masculine head, neat ears and a pleasing expression. Nice spring of rib but could perhaps be a shade shorter in loin. Nicely angulated rear with very well muscled quarters. Presented in a jacket that was good for both colour and texture, he moved ok.

PD (2)

1 Gee’s Watercroft Calling Card. A quality, sound moving puppy of excellent type. Good head proportions with a good dark eye and decent width between his ears. God flow of neck into a level topline. Nicely coupled, well ribbed body with well muscled quarters. In a good coat, he out moved all but the CC winner in the challenge. RCC & BP.

2 Phillips’ Jaeva Rock The Boat. Presented in the most beautiful red jacket. Masculine head but I would have preferred a slightly darker eye. Pleasing neckline with a good level topline, nice rear angulation and well let down hocks. Not quite the movement of first.

JD (1)

1 Stevenson’s Capps Smart Excuse By Brickin. Another sound moving d of excellent type and beautifully balanced all through. Lovely head and expression, with neat ears. Very good for body and bone. Lovely flow of neck into a level topline with a good set and and a tail that was carried erect. Nicely angulated rear with well muscled quarters, he moved with reach and drive, out moving all male competition today. Well presented in a good coat, I was pleased to award his the CC.

PGD (2)

1 Atkinson’s Moortop My Mark Again. A very typey d with a good head and expression and neat ears. Lovely, well ribbed body with a good fill in of forechest. Pleasing neckline and topline with a well angulated rear and good quarters. Presented in a good coat, he moved very well behind but not so good coming towards me.

2 Walker’s Roxypark Spring Time. Another presented in a beautiful jacket, both for colour and texture. Masculine head, although I would have preferred a darker eye. Ok for body but could have been more compact, Good for topline, and quarters but not moving as well as first.

LD (1)

1 Hess & Higgins’ Umbrage Copacabana. An eyecatching d, making a very typey outline. Masculine head with a good dark eye and neat ears. Pleasing body with a good neck and topline and well developed quarters. Presented in a lovely red jacket, he moved a little close behind and a shade loose in front.

OD (4)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Ch Belleville Major Key. A typey, compact d with a good head and expression. Good for body and bone, with a pleasing neckline and good level topline. Nicely angulated read with well muscled quarters. Presented in a good coat, he moved well behind, not quite so good in front but held his shape well on the move in profile.

2 Karvo & Seiloo’s Blakens Look The Part. A very showy b/t that pleased for head and expression, neckline, quarters and jacket. He moved well but not quite the topline or angulation of first.

3 Smith’s Javidel Despicable May.

PB (5, 2)

1 Gee’s Watercroft Bit Of Crumpet. A compact baby of lovely type. Lovely feminine head with a good eye and neat ears. Nicely ribbed body with a good neck and level topline. Pleasing angulation and well muscled quarters, she was presented in good coat. Litter sister to my PD winner, she moved well in front but not quite as well as him behind.

2 Atkinson’s Moortop Sweet Design. A very raw baby with lots of promise. She makes a superbly balanced outline, with the prettiest of heads, lovely neck that flowed into a level topline with a correct tail set and carriage. Not quite the movement of first, but she is one whose show carreer I will follow with interest.

3 Smith’s Javidel Mayde To Measure.

LB (4, 2)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville In The Black. A nicely balanced b making a typey outline. Good head and expression with neat, well place, ears. Lovely, well ribbed body with a good neckline and topline. Nicely angulated with well developed quarters. In a good jacket, she moved well behind but not so good coming towards me. Looked particularly impressive on the move in profile.

2 Hess & Higgins’ Umbrage Up All Night. A showy b, good for size and type. Pretty head with a lovely expression and neat ears. Good body with a nice flow of neck into a level topline. Presented in a lovely red jacket, she moved ok, but not as well as first.

OB (2, 1)

1 Gee’s Ch Watercroft Pink Fizz. A beautifully balance b, good for size and exuding breed type. Lovely head and expression with neat, well, set ears. Nicely balanced in body and bone with a clean front, good flow of neck into a level topline and well set tail. Presented in a super jacket, she never stopped shown. Was an absolute picture when standing and held her shape on the move as she powered round the ring with reach and drive. CC & BOB and I was delighted to see her later go G2 under Geoff Corish.
