NORFOLK RICHMOND 17 Judge: Mrs C Thompson-Morgan (Bellevi BEST OF BREED : 1938 STEVENSON Mrs J R Brickin Pot Of Pickle NORFOLK JUDGE RICHMOND 17 VD (1) 1 Simpson's Umbrage Longton Cum Megalex. Lovely bone, good movement both ways, well angulated with good shoulder layback. Would prefer more width of skull and a shorter loin. Good eye and in excellent coat. BV. 1 Lloyd's Orison Ice Tee. Shortest back and most compact puppy in the class although not the best head. When settled he moved well both ways and strode out with purpose. Excellent coat, level topline, very good bite and bone, good spring of rib. 2 Gees Watercroft Calling Time. Not the bone of 1 and not as compact with a longer loin. Very nice head, lovely eye and good layback of shoulder, upper arm and front. Not the coat of 1. Showed himself off very well. 3 Stevenson's Brickin Heart Throb 1 Hurrion's Vilassa Jack Daniels. Very showy and in excellent coat, level topline, bone OK would prefer longer rib with more spring. Small eye good bite moved well on the long grass. Well carried tail. 1 Hurrion's Villassa Jack Be Quick. Lovely to go over, Beautiful head, good width to skull, strong muzzle, good bite and ears. Correct bone, nice layback of shoulder, Could have a longer rib and a bit more weight, not yet mature. Well carried tail. Would like to see him in a years' time when he has matured. 2 Walker's Hedgefield Brucey Baby, A quality dog with good bone and head, nice eye, good bite and in good coat, just needs the finishing touches. Not the tail of 1 and longer cast. Front not as strait. 1 Stevenson's Brickin Pot Of Pickle. Beautiful, well balanced typy dog, short, cobby, compact, lovely head with good width to skull, very strong muzzle, small, oval eye, great bone and spring of rib. Excellent harsh coat. Moved well both ways, striding out. Well muscled hind quarters with good angulation. CC and BOB on his overall type and compactness, the closest to my ideal of the overall picture. Compactness is something we are losing in the breed and needs to be addressed. 2 Atkinson's Charlie Blake at Moortop. Another lovely dog with excellent bone, strong muzzle, beautiful ,dark, small, oval eye, not the width of skull of 1 and not as short in back. Good length of rib which is lacking in many, lovely tail carriage, moved well. 1 Horne's Marchdens Mark My Words. A very typy dog with a good head, lovely bone, excellent tail carriage, moved better than 2 but longer cast, Very good spring of rib, harsh coat, very good hind quarters. RCC, although he moved better than the CC winner he is not as short and compact. 2 Gullick and Van Stuivrnberg's Ch Arderry Penny Red To Jaeva. A quality dog with a beautiful head, good shoulder layback, moved very well in front. Short back. Preferred hind angulations and muscle of 1, also not the rib or bone of 1. 1 Gee's Watercroft Gold Dust, and she is, absolutely beautiful 6 month puppy, outstanding for type, lovely head eye and ears, good bite, Level topline, good spring of rib and bone, in very good coat and so well presented. Showed to perfection in the class, moving out strongly. An easy winner in the class. Unfortunately a different handler in the challenge meant she didn't show her full potential. Delighted to give her BP and had she been a few months older would have challenged hard for the CC. Very pleased to see her go on to 2nd in the puppy group. Wish she was mine. 3 Graves Pipsacre Jo Malone. 2 Hurrion's Vilassa Country Belle. Another very nice bitch but not the front of 1. Good head, and bite. Prefer darker eye. Very well presented and showed well, very good tail carriage. 3 Javidel Darling Buds of May 1 Graves Nicnips Indulgence Very happy show girl in good coat with excellent hind quarters. Good tail, very good spring of rib. Front not her fortune. Good bite, dark eye and good ears. 1 Atkinson's Moortop Clear Choice. Cobby, low to ground, good tail carriage, spring of rib and hind quarters. Needs more layback of shoulder and length of upper arm. Dark eye. 2 Gullick & Tate's Jaeva Keen As Mustard. Not happy today. Not the hind quarters of 1 but stronger in head and bone. Lovely eye. Good length of rib. 1 Gee's Watercroft Pick Of The Pops. A lovely bitch with great type, nice head with good bite. Moving and showing well, good spring and length of rib, good layback of shoulder. Excellent hind quarters. Prefer straighter tail but set correctly. Beautiful eye. Stronger head and bone than RCC winner. CC 2 Hurrion's Vilassa Cherry Tart. Another lovely bitch, just not co-operating today. Not the front of 1 but slightly shorter back. Good length of rib, bone OK. Lovely eye and great bite.
