NORFOLK RICHMOND 16 Judge: David Winsley (Davmar) BEST OF BREED : 2152 PHILLIPS Miss J Blakens Tootie Fruitie NORFOLK JUDGE RICHMOND 16 Norfolk Terriers VD (0). PD (2) 1 Philip's Nordalset Made To Boogie, typy boy in a full coat. Nice in head & expression, well placed ears, dark eye & well filled foreface. Good front, nicely made body with a good spring of rib & level topline. He has well made hindquarters & moved well when he co-operated with his owner, saying that he's just a puppy. His heavy coat was well groomed but needs some attention; 2 Woolnough's Northwool Rusty at Romance, pleasing head & expression with good ear placement, shame his bite isn't correct. Good front, body well ribbed but would have liked him a little shorter in back. He has a good turn of stifle with a correct tailset. In a short harsh coat. JD (0). PGD (1) 1 Atkinson's Charlie Blake at Moortop, nice type with a good clean outline. Pleasing in head with well placed ears, good stop, nice dark eye, but would like him a little shorter in muzzle. Nice front with good shoulder angulation, compact body & short back. Strongly made backend & correct tailset, moves well both ways. In good coat, alert & showy boy. LD (2) 1 Gee's Watercrofts Pick Of The Pops, smart male & very typy. Nice in head with a good width of skull, well placed ears, correct shaped eye, well filled muzzle. Good neck & shoulders, straight front. Compact well made body, low to ground. Nice well made hindquarters, excels in turn of stifle, short in hock. Tail set correct, first class coat & presentation. Moves well both ways, makes a nice balanced picture. RCC; 2 Britten's Krisma Dark N'stormy, b/t with a nice expressive head. Good earset & well defined stop. Cobby well made body, nice turn of stifle & correct tailset. In nice coat, not moving as positively behind as 1. A 'gassy' & enthusiastic showman. OD (5) 1 Newton's Strathinver Sea The Stars, nice size & compact boy. Really nice head with a defined stop, ears set well & nice dark eye. Good neck that flows into his well angulated shoulders, good forechest & straight front. Well sprung ribs, short coupled & level topline. Strong well made hindquarters, correct tailset. In good coat & condition, moves with sound unrestricted movement. Never gave up showing. CC; 2 Thompson-Morgan's Belleville Call Of Duty, b/t, not too happy on the table. He has a nice head & expression. Good neck & shoulders, straight front, well ribbed body, but would like him a shade shorter in back. Good hindquarters with the correct tailset. In good coat & condition, moves quite well but needs to improve in his showmanship; 3 Atkinson's Blakens I Look To You. VB (0). PB (6,2) 1 Gee's Watercroft Diamons N'pearls, very much a baby but so confident. Nice head that will continue to develop further. Good front, pleasing body which is compact enough at this age. Well made hindquarters & knows how to use them, correct tailset & in a good quality coat. Sound both ways & a happy showgirl. BP; 2 Macartney's Ivrig First Bit Of Joy, nice head & expression, good ear placement & dark eye, would have like them a shade smaller. Failed in front to 1. Well made body with a good spring of rib, good hindquarters & tailset. Overall picture looks good, but coat would be improved with some judicious trimming; 3 Gardener's Northwool Jenni And Romance at Danalas. JB (8,2) Nice quality. 1 Thompson-Morgan's Belleville Ovation, lovely junior who I seriously considered for the RCC, her day will come. Really nice feminine head & expression, ear set correct, good eye colour with a well defined stop. Nice neck & shoulders, straight in front. Short backed cobby body, well made strong hindquarters with a correct tailset. Lovely in profile & moves soundly both ways. Nice showgirl; 2 Atkinson's Moortop Clear Choice, similar in many ways to 1. Head & expression very pleasing, front good & nice cobby body with a lovely spring of rib. Moves well both ways & in well presented coat. Unlucky to meet 1; 3 Hurrion's Villassa Too Choosi. PGB (4,2) 1 Devereux's Vichea Cash And Carry, nice feminine head with a keen expression. Good earset, dark eye with a defined stop. Good through neck & shoulders, straight in front. Compact short body, correct spring of rib & short coupled. Well made hindquarters. Nice outline, level topline & in a correct quality coat. Not always helping her handler; 2 Cooper's Settrenda So Saucy, slightly larger than 1 & longer cast. Pleasing head with well placed ears, good front & well ribbed body, could be shorter coupled. Tail set correct, could move better behind, presented well but coat on the softer side. LB (2,1) 1 Gee's Watercroft Pick Of The Pops, very nice looking girl, appealing head, nice dark eye & well placed ears. Good neck & shoulders, straight front with a good forechest. Good neck that blends into well angulated shoulders, level in topline. Cobby well balanced body, strong well muscled hindquarters good with a good turn of stifle & correct tailset. Moves soundly both ways, in first class coat & shows herself well. RCC. OB (7,1) A quality class. 1 Phillip's Blakens Tootie Fruitie, full of breed type, lovely clean shape to her. Lovely feminine head, correct proportions, well placed ears with dark correct shaped eyes, well defined stop with a well filled muzzle. Correct length of neck which flows into her correctly angulated shoulders & level topline. Good forechest & straight front. Well sprung & compact body, another with a correct turn of stifle & short hocks. Strongly made hindquarters that she uses to move around the ring with a fluent driving action. In a top quality coat well presented coat, showed all out. CC & BOB; 2 Hurrion's Villassa Cherry Tart, another quality bitch with a very feminine head & expression. Good neck, shoulders & front. Low to ground compact body with the correct proportions. Well made behind with a correct tailset. In a very nice well presented coat, didn't appear settled on the move. Carrying too much body; 3 Britten's Krisma Nip In The Air. DAVID WINSLEY |
