I would like to thank the committee of Paignton for my appointment & their hospitality, my hard working stewards & the exhibitors for such a lovely entry of quality dogs.

1 Phillips’ Blakens Pay Back, mature puppy with strong well proportioned head, well placed ears & nice correct shaped dark eye. Good bite, strong neck leading into well laid shoulders. Compact body with well sprung ribs. Well angulated with nice short hocks. When settled moved well making a balanced & attractive outline. BP;

2 Simpson’s Megalex Now Or Never, mature masculine puppy with pleasing expression. Good ears. Moved with drive & purpose. Lovely bone & in beautiful coat. Not as compact in body as 1.

1 Gee’s Watercroft In A Pickle, caught my eye as he entered the ring. Loved his head & expression. Good bone, well strung ribs, good angulation, moving soundly & steadily both ways. Good textured coat beautifully presented. A strong contender for RCC;

2 Atkinson’s Blakens I Look To You, attractive b/t, different type to 1. Not showing & moving to his advantage today making him look unbalanced. Coming into really nice coat;

3 Lloyd’s Orison Midnight Myth.

1 Atkinson’s Blakens Sugar Candy Dips, well proportioned head with dark almond eyes giving a lovely expression. Would have preferred a better front but lovely spring of rib & compact body. Strong well angulated hindquarters. Presented in lovely coat & trim, showed well;

2 Simpson’s Umbrage Longton cum Megalex, strong masculine head & expression. Correct bite. Lovely harsh dark red coat. Super bone, well bodied & well angulated moving & showing well. Preferred compactness & balance of 1.

A very strong class with three lovely Norfolk Terriers.

1 Phillips’ Blakens The Kandy Man Kan, another from this kennel of the same type. I liked everything about this dog, well made throughout, moved with style & soundness. In lovely coat, body & condition. RCC;

2 Green’s Wharfvalley Gold Nugget, very attractive head & expression. In lovely coat, good bone, correct bite, moving soundly but not as collected as 1;

3 Ackling’s Ch Ruby Rueben.

1 Green’s Wharfvalley Diamond Star, well balanced & perfectly structured masculine gentleman. Oozing quality & a soundness that means he could do a day’s work as well as look fabulous in the show ring. Because of his superb construction he could move soundly with style & drive. His sympathetic handler was able to show off his many virtues. I believe this is his second CC, congratulations. CC & BOB;

2 Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Ch Jaeva Cufflink, very smart striking young dog groomed to perfection. In a feisty mood today. Not as sound behind as 1.

1 Green’s Wharfvalley Wild Child, really pretty bitch, very appealing head & expression. Well proportioned, good bite. Well angulated quarters, in nice coat. Moving & showing well;

2 Macartney’s Nordalset Little Bit Of Sun, very attractive b/t, lovely mouth, nice head but eyes a little full. Strong hindquarters, showed & moved well;

3 Howard’s Hatchwoods Last Tango.

1 Gee’s Watercroft Top Tia, very appealing bitch with lovely head & expression. Correct bite, good spring of rib & compact body, good bone. In super trim & condition. Moving well front & back. RCC;

2 Howard’s Hatchwoods Flamenco, another typy bitch. Lovely proportioned head with correct bite. Well laid shoulder, good spring of rib, well angulated quarters, in lovely coat. Not moving as positively as 1 today.

OB (5,2)

1 Smith’s Javidel Definitely Maybe, beautiful head & lovely expression. Well placed ears, correct bite. Well laid shoulders with good front angulation. Enough bone, well sprung ribs, short compact body, good tailset. Used her hindquarters well. Lovely showgirl in excellent coat and condition. Also I believe gaining her second CC today, congratulations. CC;

2 Gee’s Watercroft Top Of The Pops, lovely head & expression. Very typy. Good bone, compact body, in super coat & trim. Moved soundly & showed well.
