NORFOLK NATIONAL TERRIER 26 Judge: Miss D Jenkins NORFOLK JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 26 I had the privilege of judging National Terrier about 20 years ago when the entry was 89. How times have changed. Lots of nice Norfolk's to go over today however movement still needs to be watched lots of dogs look good in profile but are not showing correct movement in front or behind. VD/B (2) 1 Darnell's Jacquidon Nip and Tuck super 8 year old b&t bitch. In great condition which belies her age. Neat typey girl full of attitude good head, eye and mouth. Moving so well for and aft with reach and drive. Obviously loves showing. 2 Macartney's Ivrig Dancing In The Sun. Another super girl a little longer cast than one and not the pizazz on the move. However she was well balanced and steady on the move. MPD (1) 1 Hurrion's Word Of The Wise 6 month red male, rather rangey at present, and moving a little close front and rear, good bone and tight feet. Would prefer a shorter muzzle and smaller ear. Dark eye and excellent mouth. PD (1) 1 Thompson-Morgan's Belleville Turn The Table. A lot to like about this young dog, mature for age. Good head proportions, dark eye and excellent mouth a little upright in shoulder, good bone and feet, level topline held on the move. JD (1) 1 Gee's Watercroft Time Flies JW. Young male of good size, plenty of bone and good feet. Low to ground. Would prefer more stop and shorter muzzle, excellent bite. His movement was rather stilted behind he was not helping his handler by pulling to the inside. Excellent tail carriage. PGD (2) 1 Owen's Brickin A Wish Away. One that has taken my eye in the past. Nothing is exaggerated on this male, he is honest through and through, in excellent body coat, well balanced moved at one with his handler, pleasing head and expression, good mouth would just prefer a smaller ear. RCC. 2 Hess & Higgins' Umbrage July In Paris. Not as mature as one. A bit erratic on the move. I think he is slower maturing than some as he looks quite high on the leg at the moment but sure this will improve with age. LD (5:1) 1 Davis' Watercroft Cosmic Dust This male has a super head and expression good strength of muzzle, dark eye, in excellent harsh coat. He has plenty of bone for his size, short coupled and low to the ground, can be a bit wilful on the move. 2 Smith's Javidel Repeat If I May. Very similar type to 1 short and cobby with a lovely head and expression. In excellent coat however he is a little upright in shoulder which causes him to move a little wide in front. OD (3) 1 Thompson-Morgan's Ch Layhefields Great Ridge by Belleville. Shows a lovely picture standing and has excellent profile movement, however he is a little upright in shoulder and longer cast than some. He has a super head with a typical Norfolk expression, lovely dark eye and correct bite. Can move a little close in front. CC BOB. 2 Gee's Watercroft Moon Dust. Really lovely breed type very short and cobby, could be a shade bigger all over. He has a beautiful expression and correct head proportions. Good bone for size. Moves a little wide in front. MPB (1) 1 Cooper's Settrenda Oh So Saucy. This young lady has a super harsh coat, a lovely head shape, neat ears and dark eye. Showed and moved well. Very promising baby just needs time. PB (3:0) 1 Gee's Watercroft Stitch In time. Lovely outline she has a super head and expression, dark eye excellent bite, good length of neck well laid shoulders, good bone and excellent tail set. 2 Geary's Germanus Off The Peg. Similar type to 1. Harsh b&t coat with super dark tan, short coupled, well balanced. Difficult to assess her movement as she tends to pull to the left. Has a super head and expression. JB (2) 1 Gee's Watercroft Stitch In Time. Really took my eye. Balanced all through. Lovely head shape and expression, dark eye and excellent bite. Super neck and shoulder, short coupled level topline excellent tail and set. CC. 2 Macartney's Nordalset Storming Into Irving. Super breed type, another lovely head and expression, dark wicked eye! Moved with drive although a little erratic at times. Showed well. NB (2) 1 Gee's Watercroft Sticky Affair. Beautiful breed type. Good head proportions, dark eyes would prefer smaller ears, excellent mouth. Good bone for size. Cobby. A little straight behind. Crabbed on the move. 2 Emm's Watercroft Sunday Girl with Vioclan. Similar type to 1. In a short, harsh coat. Could be a little shorter coupled but this could improve with age. This young lady gives her handler a hard time however there were glimpses of good movement. PGB (3) 1 Thompson Morgan's Belleville Firestar. Lovely type standing, pleasing head and expression. Dark eye and good mouth. A little short in upper arm, good bone, low to ground, excellent tail set. A little high stepping on the move. 2 Tom's and Tate's Heilurihannan Burning Question. Different type to 1. Pleasing head and expression good mouth. A little long with low set tail. Moved and showed well. LB (1:1) 1 Tate and Dragon's Rambles Ruby at Jaeva. Smart bitch in superb coat and condition. Good head proportions, dark eye. Short coupled good spring of rib. Moved a little close behind. Showed well. OB (4) 1 Mullan's Watercroft Maybelline At Tamodan. Just my type neat, short coupled, lovely harsh red coat. Feminine expression, dark eye, neat ears good mouth. Moved with reach and drive. Showed well. RCC. 2 Thompson-Morgan's & IIDA's Belleville Scarlet Starlet. A lot to like about this girl. Short coupled good tail set. Level topline. Pleasing head and expression. Not so positive on the move as 1 a little loose in her movement. Di Jenkins
