NORFOLK TERRIER CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN 50TH ANNIVERSARY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
Saturday 27th September 2014

JUDGE: MRS DOROTHY DORKINS (Lowmita)

DCC & BIS: Belleville Seduction
RDCC: Strathinver Smart Enough
BCC & RBIS: Watercroft Top Tia
RBCC: Ch Blakens Sugar Candy Kisses
BP: Watercroft Top Tipple
BV: Brymarden Copper Kettle

A wonderful honour to be asked to judge this special show. The entry was magnificent and I would like to thank every one who entered a dog for me to judge.
In some of the classes I needed more 1st prize cards as the quality was high and making a decision was very hard.
All the Norfolks that came under me had wonderful temperaments and were happy and beautifully cared for. On the down side I did see a few not so perfect mouths and some that lacked hind angulation and had short upper arms, so movement was affected and not allowing the dog to have reach and drive.
My top winners are proof that the breeder has to put in a lot of work and years of careful breeding to constantly produce stock of such high quality. This does not just happen in a few generations.
I would also like to thank my stewards Geoff Buckley, Peter Baxter and Juliet Knight. And a very big thank you to Gail Simpson our secretary and all the committee members who made this day a roaring success.

LD (11-1)

1 Newton’s Strathinver Smart Enough, RCC, you have to get your hands on this dog to appreciate him. A sound mover when he settles himself down and his handler gets him under control. He is correctly constructed throughout, head, front, rear, just the right amount of bone, lovely short loin and strong hindquarters and a short hock. Great spring of rib. The CC winner just had the edge over him in showmanship and finish;
