It was a real pleasure to judge the Norfolks at this well run happy show.  My two excellent stewards kept the ring running smoothly and I was very impressed by the quality of the lovely youngster who were shown today.

Puppy – Dog (3,0)

1 Gee’s Watercroft Chilli Pepper
.  Reserve Best Dog.  A most attractive exhibit and at nearly 12 months of age his maturity of body and muscle tone gave him the advantage here.  Broad skull with neat well carried ears.  Has substance, good bone and is quite cobby and compact.  Excellent topline and tailset and he carries himself well on the move.  Shown and presented to best advantage.

2 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Cash Flow
.  A promising baby who has much to commend him.  Pleasing head with keen expression and neat ears.  Good forehand, sturdy well ribbed body.  Good hindquarters with low set hocks and something behind the tail.  Harsh coat.

3 Serrell’s Harlyquin Red robin

Junior – Dog (5,0)

1 Britten’s Krisma Dark N’Stormy
.  Black and tan. Small but masculine and strongly made with a short well ribbed body.  Good bone.  Dark oval eye, good breadth of skull, ears could be a shade neater.  Moved well and shown in good harsh jacket.

2 Newton’s Strathinver Sea The Stars
.  A sturdy, well ribbed youngster with good topline and tailset.  Decent forehand and moved out well with some propulsion from the rear.  Shown in a rather full coat but it is a good texture.
3 Atkinson’s Charlie Blake at Moortop

Yearling – Dog (2,0)

1 Atkinson’s Moortop Marks Delivery
.  Shown in a good textured jacket, clear colour and has an excellent topline and tailset. Cobby with perhaps a tad too much width in front.  Well ribbed.  Good ears and dark oval eye.

2 Gee’s Watercroft Coin A Phrase.  Black and tan.  Sturdy and very pleasing to handle on the table as he is well put together.  Keen expression, decent forehand but couldn’t quite match the drive of the winner on the move today.

Limit – Dog (3,1)

1 Atkinson’s Blaken’s I Look To You
. Best Dog. RBIS. A short coupled, well ribbed, low set dog.  Keen expression pleasing eye, excellent topline and tailset.  Scored today with his strong propulsive rear action.

2 Mounfield’s Arderry Son of a Gun.  Shown in a good harsh jacket, clear colour, sturdy and well boned with good legs and feet.  Very good topline and tailset, presents a pleasing overall picture.

Open – Dog (1,0)

1 Smith’s Javidel May Just Have Too
Low, typey and well balanced with short back, compact well ribbed body.  Good breadth of skull, dark oval eye. Shown in good form with a harsh well-presented jacket.

Minor Puppy – Bitch (5,1)

1 Jenkin’s Kinsridge Hey Ho
.  Small and cobby with a good body for her age, strong short loin.  Lovely head and expression with good breadth of skull.  Full of life and character – almost too much at times!   However, this was reflected in her powerful positive movement.  One to watch.

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Devotion.  Close up, very typey and well balanced with an attractive head and keen expression.  Moved soundly and she shows to best advantage.

3 Gee’s Watercroft Name Your Tipple

Puppy – Bitch (8,0)

1 Stevenson’s Brickin Full of Pose
.  Best Puppy in Show.  Black and tan and a most attractive prospect.  Has a really good outline as she is compact and sturdy, good breadth of skull, keen and alert, good forehand with adequate bone and well laid shoulders.  Very good jacket.  Moved very well with some propulsion from the rear.

2 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Club Classic
.  A grand headed youngster, well balanced and so typical.  Cobby with a strong short loin and excellent topline and tailset.  Impressed on the move with some drive from the rear. 3 Phillips’ Jaeva Golden Mine

Junior – Bitch (4,1)

Phillips’ Blakens Tootie Fruitie.  Best in Show.  Typey and well balanced, good head with dark oval eye, neat ears, sturdy, solid cobby body, strong well-muscled hindquarters.  Shown in a really good harsh jacket and her movement was first class.

2 Gee’s Watercroft Pop Picker.  Reserve Best Bitch.  Pushed the winner hard and is very close.  Excellent forehand, strudy well ribbed body, very good topline and tailset.  Good breadth of skull.  Moved well with some propulsion from the rear.

3 Stevenson’s Brickin Made For You

Limit – Bitch (4,2)
1 Britten’s Krisma Nip In The Air
.  Very feminine, small and low, compact in outline.  Attractive well balanced head.  Excellent topline and tailset.  Harsh well presented jacket. Impresses on the move with some drive from the rear.

2 Darnell’s Jacquidon Next Sensation.  Sturdy and cobby and shown in a good jacket.  Pleasing head with good breadth of skull and keen dark eye.  Excellent topline and tailset and looks well in profile.

Open – Bitch (4,2)

1 Smith’s Ch Javidel Definitely Maybe
.  Black and tan.  A lovely quality bitch I have admired before, cobby and sturdy with a good topline and tailset.  Compactly made with good rib.  Strong well-muscled hindquarters gave her some drive on the move.  In the challenge I felt that the two youngster just had the extra verve which tipped the scales in their favour

2 Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Hells Fire
.  Small and low with a good skull, strong jaw, decent forehand.  Good topline and tailset. Well ribbed and shown in a tight harsh jacket

Veteran – Bitch (1,0)

1 Atkinson’s Ch Hobsons Choice at Moortop
.  Best Veteran in Show.  At 13 years of age she was still enjoying her day out, typey and shapely with a clear bright eye and excellent topline.  Moved out well for her age
