Class 425 MIN PUPPY DOG Entries 4 Absentees 2
1st 1859 MISS D JENKINS – KINRIDGE TIP OFF
Very immature but only 7and half months, head Ok for age, good eye and ears, correct length of neck, scored in outline and tail set. Well angulated hindquarters but front is not his fortune, some of this I am sure is due to weak pasterns which will strengthen with age, good bone and coat, showed well.
2nd 1849 MISS J A &MR N W V GATDON & GIBBINGS – EARTHAW LINCOLN
Attractive boy, typey with short back and legs, head OK for age and excellent mouth with large teeth, topline is good but movement could be better fore and aft, correct bone for size and showed well.
Class 426 PUPPY D Entries 2 Absentees 1
1st 1842 MRS R GEE – WATERCROFT CALLING CARD
This boy stood alone but did win overall today gaining cc over another good, mature dog. He has the one thing you can’t overlook and that is quality, only 10 months but maturing well, excellent head in all departments, well carried ears, great outline and profile movement, held his topline at all times, unlike many correct for length of neck and front standing or moving. Cc and BPD. Only beaten by the equally attractive pretty bitch pup on her particularly lovely type with short, back and legs. When adult he will also be typey in body due to maturity and filling out.
Class 427 JUNIOR D Entries 3 Absentees 0
1st 1876 MRS A C SMITH – JAVIDEL MAYDE TO ORDER
A bigger dog but completely balanced and in proportion, just starting to mature, excels in bone, well made body, resulting in good movement, nice head, dark eye and just the right size of ear, right length of neck, excellent quarters showed and moved steadily.
2nd 1872 MRS N R NEWTON - STRATHINVER TIME TO STAR
Loved the type and size of this dog with his correct short back and legs, he did make life difficult for handler and judge, fidgeting on table and had to give him a few go’s before I could see his good movement. Would like a higher set tail and smaller ears but lovely head, looked good standing. In a good class lost out due to his misbehaving so much.
Class 428 POST GRAD D Entries 5 Absentees 2
1st 1846 MRS A HADFIELD – BELLEVILLE BORN TO BE FREE
A very attractive quality dog who excels in head, eye and ears, a little imperfect in mouth but moved so much better than the rest in the class, correct for bone and coat, showed really well, would prefer a little longer neck for perfection but balanced and looked the part.
2nd 1870 MRS R E NASH – TALPH OF HOUSE NASH
Not as short as winner but attractive boy, OK for neck, lovely outline finished with high set tail, head proportion’s quite good but ears a shade high set and not as good in front or movement as 1, in great coat and showed to perfection.
When this class came in I thought it an excellent lot of dogs, but unfortunately most had the same movement fault which is prevalent in the breed.
Class 429 LIMIT DOG Entries 7 Absentees 3
1st 1879 MRS J R STEVENSON – CAPPS SMART EXCUSE BY BRIKIN
A really lovely all round dog and by far the best mover in this class, also had the best tail set and carriage, good head, eye and mouth, in need of a new coat but that will improve, whereas the movement on some in the class will not.
2nd 1832 MRS M E ATKINSON – MOORTOP MYMARK AGAIN
Preferred this one for size and coat condition, excels behind but not in front, where he moved wide and his style of grooming showed this off rather than minimising it. Very attractive, correct for bone and substance and lovely head, showed well.
Another quality class where the winner won on movement again.
Class 430 OPEN DOG Entries 3 Absentees 0
1st 1852 MISS K & MISS S HURRION & STANDEN – VILLASSA JACK BE QUICK
A slightly different type for me but can this boy move, profile movement is excellent and is one of the few who does not move wide in front or toe in, lovely head and mouth, being picky would like a darker eye and his flying left ear let him down in the dog challenge. Has a lovely outline and correct for size, OK for bone and substance and show with animation, just preferred the quality in type of cc winner, rcc.
2nd 1860 MISS I R MRS T E KARVO SEILOO – BLAKENS LOOK THE PART
This dog could not be faulted for coat and condition, he looked fabulous standing. He lost on movement not having the drive behind and throws his front legs moving but for ear carriage, head, bone and general type is lovely. Has matured since I last judged him abroad.

1st 1857 MISS D JENKINS – KINSRIDGE TIP TOES
I turned round from my judges table and saw this one and lost my heart! Such a pretty, typical, quality baby girl, so balanced and together, no one part bigger or smaller than the other as with most this age. Pretty head of correct proportions, good eye, mouth and ears, short back and leg, correct length of neck, very good quarters and moved well, showed so well for age. Not as mature as the puppy dog winner but I’d fallen in love, so awarded her BP and rcc.
2nd 1868 Mrs R Gee- Kinsridge Top Marks To Watercroft.
This little one is not ready yet, she has a good eye, mouth and ears, but head still small for body and doesn’t have the bone of the winner, her tail set and carriage is correct, shown in good coat but needs time to grow into herself.
Class 433 PUPPY B Entries 3 Absentees 1
1st 1833 MRS M E ATKINSON – MOORTOP SWEET DESIGN
Attractive young lady of quality, has a correct and pretty head, correct eye shape and colour, good bite, just enough neck for age but moves a tad wide in front but not one of the worst, nice for bone and substance and a correct tail carriage and set on, in excellent coat but too much coat taken of chest, no ruff!
2nd 1841 MRS R GEE – WATERCROFT BIT OF CRUMPET
An elegant young lady and very showy but her movement is erratic made worse by almost over showing, tail not as good as winner and will shorten with age and maturity, hindquarters actually well angulated so when she is calmer will probably mov OK behind, good coat.
This was a hot class
Class 434 JUNIOR B Entries 4 Absentees 0
1st 1878 MRS J R STEVENSON – BRICKIN MADE BY DESIGN
Really like this bitch, such great type and moves so well both ways when she wants. Did play up and this nearly lost her first place but just settled well enough by the end of the class, she has a lovely head, eye and mouth. Lovely outline and shown in good coat. Showed well standing.
2nd 0853 MISS K L HURRION – VALLASSA SEA OF DREAMS
Lovely quality young lady who moved well and better schooled than winner but not as balanced, her head needs to catch up with her mature body which was a little plump. Has particularly good quarters with a lovely set on and carriage of tail, although a small head it is correctly proportioned with a lovely dark eye in good coat and showed well
3rd 1875 MRS A C SMITH – JAVIDEL MAYDE TO MEASURE
Class 435 POST GRAD B Entries 8 Absentees 4
1st 1834 MRS E D DARNELL – JACQUIDEON RAGES TO RICHES
Loved this one for her beautiful breed type, has the prettiest of heads with correct eye, ears and mouth. I know Norfolk’s shouldn’t have a long neck but many, as with this one, are a bit too short, moves better behind than in front but is very showy and one look at that face and you would forgive her anything. Shown in lovely coat.
2nd 1854 MISS K L HURRION – VALLASSA ALL ABOUT ME
A quality bitch shown in excellent coat, good for head, eye and bone and substance, is a shade heavy in front but moved better here than the winner, however does go a bit close behind, maybe she needs moving a little slower, excellent temperament and made the most of herself.
3rd 0862 MRS M LUPTON – RED KINGLYNN CHESNET OF TOMOGRAM (IMP ESP)
4TH 0871 MRS R E NASH – TIGGY OF HOUSE NASH
Class 436 LIMIT BITCH Entries 6 Absentees 2
1ST 1855 MISS K L HURRION – VALASSA CHERRY STARS
It was very close between 1 and 2, this quality bitch has a lovely head, mouth, eye and ears and did move better in front than 2, coupled with hindquarters which moved with drive behind. Another with lovely set on and carriage of tail. In excellent coat and showed well.
2ND 1851 MR A & MRS J HESS AND HIGGINS – UMBRAGE UP ALL NIGHT
This girl looked the winner standing, in perfect coat with great outline and balance, correct length of neck, her hindquarters are excellent but unfortunately doesn’t move so well in front, another who is over trimmed in the chest area, actually so little coat that it shows off her wide front instead of the coat minimising it. Beautiful tail, good skull with dark eye and good mouth, would benefit for a stronger muzzle, in good body coat.
Class 437 OPEN B Entries 2 Absentees 0
1ST 1839 MRS R GEE – CH WATERCROFT GOLD DUST
I turned from the table to see this beautiful mature bitch standing there. The quality, the outline with short back and legs, coupled with beautiful head and lovely short straight tail made her the easy winner of cc, BOB and later group 2. In perfect coat and condition she sailed round the ring leaving the rest in her wake.
2ND 1880 MRS G VAN-STUIVENBERG – NL CH JAEVA BEYOND A DOUBT
This girl looked lovely standing with her short tail and correct outline, not the confidence of the winner and not quite as good in front action, although a lovely length of neck, excellent behind, OK head with dark eye and really good big teeth, in good but short coat of correct texture. With confidence would look twice as good.
Class 438 VETERAN B Entries 2 Absentees 0
1st 1856 MISS K L HURRION – CH VALLENTINES CHERRY CRUMBLE
These two oldies both loved it. This one won on her extra good type, lovely head, short back and legs, could out move a lot of the younger ones even at 12 years old. In lovely coat, quite a legend in the breed. Not many hold their looks and enjoy it so much as this girl. Best Veteran.
2ND 1863 MISS F J MACARTNEY – NORDALSET LITTLE BIT OF SUN FOR IVRIG
Attractive bitch who held her topline and superb tail so correctly carried, has better bone and substance than some much younger, correct for length of neck, beautiful dark eye and in great coat, so loving her time in the spotlight.
