NORFOLK MIDLAND COUNTIES 09 Judge(s) PAT MUNRO BD JAEVA MIDAS TOUCH AT SALTARELLO (MRS B FRASER) Norfolk Terriers A good entry for a ch show with no CCs on offer & only three absent. Some could benefit from practice of being taught to stand for handling on the table. PD (0). PGD (1) 1 Fraser’s Jaeva Midas Touch at Saltarello, nicely overall balanced dog, good layback of shoulder, nice head proportions, nice eye, good body & topline finished off with good tailset, movement was true, well presented & handled. Could have done with competition as he is worthy of better. BD. OD (1) A. PB (6) 1 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Hot Tip, promising puppy, nice dark eye, good neck & shoulders, good feet, in good coat, level topline, nice front, good body for age, well set tail, moved with reach & drive, handled & presented well. BP & RBB; 2 Tate’s Settrenda Sauce Pot at Jaeva, nice puppy, mature in body with good topline, good coat, OK tailset, went well; 3 Phillips’ Blakens Party Popper. PGB (6) 1 Phillips & Fraser’s Jaeva Smart Cookie, was a little surprised she was not group shortlisted as both her & my Norwich BOB I thought could compete comfortably with the other terrier breeds. Very nice all round, well proportioned head, sturdy compact body, good topline into nice set on, strong quarters, good coat, good mover, handled & presented well, she & the dog made a nice pair in the challenge. BOB; 2 Hitchen & Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville China Lace, decent head, nice body. Not as good in coat as others but moved, handled & showed well; 3 Atkinson’s Moortop Shandy Choice. OB (3,1) 1 Hurrion’s Valentines Cherry Crumble, in good coat & condition, OK in head, nice dark eye, nice body, excellent topline, propelled from behind, good & alert shower; 2 Atkinson’s Moortop Mary’s Choice, little snipey in foreface. Slightly upright in shoulder. Decent body, went well behind, a little out at front. PAT MUNRO |
