NORFOLK LEEDS 24 Judge: Mrs Jane Eyeington NORFOLK JUDGE LEEDS 24 I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge the Norfolk Terriers with CC’s for the first time. It was a true honour and privilege. I was delighted with the quality of the exhibits, they are a real credit to you. Thank you all for your entries, making it tough competition and it is lovely to see so many Black & Tans. Class 2482 PD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6251 THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C Belleville Hope Alert Very smart 10 month old red dog, full of fun and mischief, showing himself off to advantage. Lovely outline when stood, he is of the right size, has the desired substance and is all male. Nicely balanced head, with good width, neat ears, dark expressive eyes. Good length of neck, cleanly flowing into a short firm back. Well developed body, with a straight front onto tight feet. Nicely angulated fore and aft. Moved with enthusiasm and drive. Shown with a harsh jacket and beautifully presented. - BPD 2nd: 6240 MCKEVITT, Mr & Mrs D & L Watercroft Corners Up At Tyketarn Promising red youngster, just 7 months old. Much to like about him, today not as forward as winner. He is of a pleasing size and type. Lovely head, very balanced, with a dark eye and keen but kind expression. Good length of neck, good depth for his age and nicely sprung ribcage. Held a firm topline stood and on the move. Not quite as together as winner on the move today, but time will be his friend Class 2483 JD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6250 THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C Belleville Infamous Colin Shapely and full of type, this 15 month old red dog caught my eye for his clean outline. Masculine all through, and never stopped showing. Liked his head, good width and well placed ears, strength to the foreface, and endearing expression. Strong clean neck, deep in brisket and rib well sprung with a firm level topline. Strong rear, showing a good bend of stifle and low set hocks. Moved out cleanly, but in the final challenge not quite the reach in front of winners. Good harsh jacket 2nd: 6245 SMITH, Mrs A Javidel May You Never So much to like on this 14 month old red dog, loved his size, shape and substance, but he did not want to show himself. When stood he shows to have a compact outline with good proportions. He has a lovely balanced and proportionate head, with a good ear carriage, well defined stop and dark kind eyes. Good length of neck, well developed forechest and depth to the brisket. He holds a firm and level topline, with well sprung ribcage and short loin. Stifles are well bent and with a good width of thigh. Just let himself down on the move today Class 2484 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6230 DAVIS, Miss Melissa L Watercroft Cosmic Dust Compact and cobby 18 month old red dog, with lots to like, litter brother to winner of LD. He has lovely body lines with an impressive outline. Masculine head, with a broad skull giving good width between the ears, and showing strength to the muzzle, his dark oval eye have a kind but keen expression. Well bodied and standing on well boned limbs. Holding a firm topline, with a short loin and ribs carried well back. Strong hindquarters and short hocks. Strode out nicely on the move. Shown in a coat with a harsh texture. 2nd: 6254 WREN, Miss Sara Jaeva Strut Your Stuff Beautifully presented and attentive to his handler, much to commend this red dog who is coming up 2 years of age. When stood he presents a pleasing outline, compact and strong. Pleasing head, nicely balanced and all in proportion. Skull slightly rounded, good placement of the ear and he has an endearing expression. Well developed through the body, with depth and spring to the ribcage. Holding a firm and level topline to a well set on tail. Strong hindquarters, showed good drive, today not as clean in his front action as winner Class 2485 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6233 GEE, Mrs R Watercroft Moon Dust Very smart 18 month old B&T dog, and fits the description of ‘small, low and compact’ He presents a lovely balanced outline and full of quality. He has a pleasing head, with the correct ratios, good ear set and dark oval eyes with a keen expression. Strong neck flowing into a firm short and level topline. Compact deep body, with a well sprung ribcage and short loin. Hindquarters show a good bend of stifle, which he used to good effect to drive around the ring. His movement was true fore and aft, and he carries himself with an air of confidence to gain him the RDCC. 2nd: 6236 HARRISON, Miss Sophie Jacquidon Rich Tea Outgoing and confident 3 year old red dog, who responds well to his handler. He presents a compact outline when stood, with a nice flow to his topline. Nicely balanced head, with strength to the foreface, his eyes are dark but a fraction rounder, still has a delightful expression. Good length of neck, firm strong and level topline. A little wider in front, body has lovely depth and spring to the ribcage with a short and firm loin. A happy mover, a real showman, showing drive from the rear. – Best special beginner 3rd: 6253 WARD, Mrs Pat Littlemount Celyn Y Mor Class 2486 OD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6249 THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C Belleville Playmate Eye catching and quality, 2 year old red dog, very smart and full of character. When stood he presents a very pleasing and balanced silhouette. He is a compact and sturdy dog with a lovely flow to his outline. Masculine head, pleasing proportions showing strength to the muzzle, with good width to the backskull, neat well placed ears, and dark expressive eyes. He has a good length of neck which seamlessly flows into a short firm topline. Body is well developed, chest is well let down with a lovely spring to the ribcage, short loin, and strong hindquarters. Showing himself off with style and confidence. Moving out with lovely drive and retaining his outline. Put down in super condition with a good harsh well presented jacket – Pleased to award him the DCC & BOB, this 3rd CC I understand, many congratulations on your new champion. 2nd: 6232 GEE, Mrs R Ch Watercroft Tiger Feet Jw Another super 2 year old red dog, who I liked very much, but he decided today he was going to be a ‘muppet’! Not preforming as I know he can and paid the price. Super outline when stood, displaying the desired strong and compact body. Liked his head, good width between the ears, which are well placed, dark oval eye, with a kind but keen expression. Good length of neck, strong short back. Deep in brisket with a lovely spring of rib, and short firm loin. Standing on well boned limbs and rounded feet. Not showing himself off on the move but his action is true. Put down in super coat and condition. 3rd: 6237 JENKINS, Miss D Ch Kinsridge Cash Point Class 2487 VD NO ENTRIES Class 2488 SBD/B (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6236 HARRISON, Miss Sophie Jacquidon Rich Tea repeat of 2nd Limit Dog 2nd: 6253 WARD, Mrs Pat Littlemount Celyn Y Mor 2 year old red dog, previously 3rd in the limit dog class. Build on slightly larger frame than winner, but still presents a balanced and pleasing outline when stood. He is compact and sturdy. Liked his head, shows a good width to the skull and well defined stop, along with his dark oval eyes giving the alert yet gentle expression. Would like a little more length to the neck, super depth and spring to the ribcage, the ribs are carried well back, just a fraction longer in loin than winner. Pleasing hindquarters, with a good bend of stifle and width of thigh. Good harsh jacket and well presented Class 2489 PB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6235 GEE, Mrs R Watercroft Toffee Nosed Oh my, fell for this delightful 9 month old B&T bitch. She is so full of character and has a zest for life, nothing fazed her, so she showed her socks off. Pleasing feminine head, which is well proportioned, dark oval eyes giving a cheeky expression. Well developed through the body with a good spring of rib, and forechest. Standing on well boned limbs and tight feet. Compact and short backed, with a well set on tail which is straight and jauntily carried. Moving out purposefully. Presented in a good jacket – BPB & BPIB. 2nd: 6247 TATE, Mrs K Jaeva Ring Tone Taf Another with so much to like on this 10 month old red bitch. Liked her overall shape and size, small and compact. Balanced head, very feminine, with good width between the ears, which are neat well set, dark oval eyes, and a gentle expression. Liked her length of neck, which flows into a firm short back. Well bodied for her age, with strong hindquarters. Showed a good side gait, just needing to tighten in her front action. Good harsh jacket 3rd: 6238 JENKINS, Miss D Kinsridge Takes The Biscuit Res: 6252 THOMPSON-MORGAN, Mrs C Belleville Hold The Line Class 2490 JB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6248 TATE, Mrs K & DRAGON, Miss Oliwia Noragad's Royal Flush With Jaeva Very smart 17 month old B&T bitch, loved her fun and outgoing personality. When stood she presents a lovely outline, small and compact. Most feminine of heads, with a melting expression with a hint of naughtiness. Good length of neck, and she has a chest that is well let down with a nice development of forechest. Clean and straight front onto tight feet. Her topline is firm and level with a short loin. Strong hindquarters, which she put to go use to drive around the ring. Well handled and presented. 2nd: 6244 SMITH, Mrs A Javidel May To December Very much liked the overall stamp of this 14 month old red bitch, but something had spooked her and a couple of the others (maybe the very loud Tanoy right next to the ring) unfortunately so not showing herself as well as she could have. Well balanced head, with a good width between the ears, correct ear placement, dark oval eyes, and she has such a sweet expression. She is well bodied with super depth and spring to the ribs, a fraction longer than winner in loin. Holding a firm topline and well bent stifles. Moved out true once relaxed 3rd: 6242 PHILLIPS, Miss J Blakens Candy Bar Girl Res: 6241 MULLAN, Mrs B & MULLAN, Mr R J Watercroft Maybellene Class 2491 PGB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6239 MCDERMOTT, Mr Liam Macdiarmada Alderfen Red bitch coming up 3 years of age. Liked her happy demeanour. She is of a nice overall size and feminine all through. A little more refined in body and bone. Pretty head with a lovely dark oval eye and kind adoring expression. Good width to the backskull which showed the slight rounding, well defined stop. She has adequate depth and ribbing, tending to fall away a little at the croup, with a short loin. Strong hindquarters, which she put to effective use to drive around the ring Class 2492 LB (4 Entries) Abs: 3 1st: 6234 GEE, Mrs R Watercroft Crafty Monkey Confident and showy 20 month old red bitch. Showing herself off with style. She is cobby and sturdy with a lovely flow to her topline when stood. Strength to the backskull with a slight rounding, well placed ears, and dark mischievous oval eyes, well defined stop and strength to the muzzle. Neck of good length, well developed forechest, and deep in the brisket. Lovely spring to the ribcage with a short loin. Good width to the hindquarters and short hock to heel. Moved with enthusiasm and drive. Beautifully presented with a harsh jacket - RBCC Class 2493 OB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: 6231 GEE, Mrs R Ch Watercroft Back In A Jiffy Quality in abundance on this B&T coming up 2 years of age. So very feminine and typey, showing herself off and letting her presence be known. She has the desired outline when stood. Delightful head, with good width to the slightly rounded backskull, well defined stop, strength to the foreface and expressive dark oval eyes. Good length of neck, cleanly flowing into her firm topline. Well developed through the body, with a good ribcage showing depth to the brisket, and fill in of forechest. Her loin is short and strong leading to a well set on and carried tail. Well angulated hindquarters and low set hocks. Moved with a lovely parallel rear action and drive – Delighted to award her the BCC 2nd: 6243 SMITH, Mrs A Javidel Handmayds Tale Liked this 2 year old red bitch, nothing flashy but everything in the right place. She is small, compact and full of breed type. Very pleasing head, with good ratios of backskull to foreface, with a well defined stop, strength to the muzzle and those dark oval eyes, giving a lovely expression. She is well bodied, with depth to the brisket and good forechest, standing she held a firm topline, with a short back, good width the rear and low set hocks.
