NORFOLK JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 10

Norfolk Terrier
Thank you to all the exhibitors for a very nice entry for this my first CC appointment. It was a very warm day and I think that we all appreciated being under cover. There was a very sporting atmosphere in the ring. Thank you to my stewards for keeping everything moving along smoothly. Overall I felt that the quality was good with interesting competition in many of the classes. There is quite a big variation in heads and some variation in size. A number of decisions came down to movement.

 PD (9,2)

A lovely class to start with.

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Lord Angel. Typy youngster who was the best moving dog in the class. Lovely fluid profile movement, good front, really good behind. Still quite raw and is a baby so head needs to develop. Nicely presented and is very promising.

2 Atkinson’s Wharfvalley Diamond Bright At Moortop. Heavier made dog and at 11 months more mature than the winner. Nicely headed, good coat texture, a shade longer than the winner and not quite as assertive on the move but is also very promising.

3 Philips’ Nordalset Look Out For Me

JD (3)

1 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Top Gun. Eyecatching, very nice type, nice and short, really good rear on this one and moved well, head proportions good, nicely trimmed and well handled. In the challenge just looked like he needs a few more months to fill out and mature but a well deserved res CC.

2 Philip’s Jaeva Well I'll Be Darned At Nordalset. Close up, nice and compact, lovely temperament, lovely headed boy, preferred his substance. Not quite a tidy in front as the winner but an interesting prospect and one who should do well.

3 Simpson’s Umbrage Longton Cum Megalex

PGD (4)

1 Stevenson’s Brickin Extra Smart. The best type in this class, at 11 months does not want to grow any more, ok in head, good rear, ok in front. Overall quality won the class.

2 Waters’ Southpoint Dante's Inferno. Nice to handle on the table, disappointed a little on the move and is a touch long.

3 Davies & Lovick’s Bagatelle Chapter And Verse

LD (1)

1 Stevenson’s Penmire Wild Bramble By Brickin. Stood on his own but could have coped with some competition. Really typical, good rear, lovely headed boy, not a lot I would want to change. In the challenge pegged a little by lack of coat but is clearly of champion grading.

OD (4,2)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Angello. Beautifully headed typy boy, still relatively young so there is even better to come, nicely fronted, good rear, great in profile and exceptional movement carried him through to the CC and then BOB. Nice coat and condition. Lovely boy.

2 Mitchell’s Roxway Direct Line. Showy sort and a lovely type. Very well presented and nicely trimmed and handled. A bit long in foreface for me and in the challenge for res CC was a bit sluggish against the junior. Certainly not disgraced and is very competitive.

PB (12,6)

Interesting class of puppies in various stages of development.

1 Phillips’ Blakens Toffee Kisses. Stunning black and tan puppy, forward for her age, in really good nick and put down to the minute, really showy, lovely headpiece, good front, ok in rear, good tail. She was bang on form, absolutely sparkled and just asked for the CC. Was also best puppy.

2 Hitchen & Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Charlie's Angel. Nice to go over, good type, still has a lot of developing to do but shows promise and held off some other promising puppies for this placing.

3 Broom’s Roxway Fancy Free

JB (7,1

)1 Phillips and Tate’s Jaeva Hells Fury. Good type, was probably the most compact and short backed Norfolk in the entry today, unfortunately coat was past its best and she was not really helping her handler.

2 Phillips’ Vision Express At Blakens. Showy sort, well presented and handled, a little longer than the winner but is quality.

3 Ruffles’ Ruffnor Off The Peg

PGB (4,1)

1 Cooper’s Settrenda Saucy Sox. Beautifully trimmed and showed very well, lovely outline, nicely headed, close up in the challenge.

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Neat And Tidy. Handled well on the table and was a good sort, not in the coat of the winner. With time could be very nice indeed.

3 Simpson’s Megalex Elusive Dream

LB (4,2)

1 Widing’s Zazmeer Zoddle. Fully mature, splendid coat and condition, showed well enough, not as tidy up and back as some of the other girls in the challenge.

2 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Daisychain. Short of coat which pegged her a little against the winner otherwise was close up.

OB (5,2)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Red Dawn. Still quite young but was the best mover in the class, showy, quality girl, I would prefer a touch more head. Movement carried her through to res CC

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Skip Away. Lovely on the table, good type, not as good in rear as winner and was blowing her coat but is competitive and will have better days.

3 Atkinson’s Moortop Mary's Choice
