Darlington 22 Judge

NORFOLK DARLINGTON 22 Judge: Ms D E Jenkins Would like to thank the committee of Darlington Show for this appointment. I would like to say that I think the tails on Norfolk Terriers have come on in leaps and bounds with many having well set, short straight tails. 1 Gee’s Watercroft Cuckoo Waltz. Quality baby with lots to like about him. Pleasing head and expression, good length of neck, well laid shoulders and level top line. Absolutely full of himself. 1 Darnell’s Jacquidon Hot Off The Press. A masculine, quality young man. The most wonderful head and expression. Good length of neck and correct front assembly. Level top line held on the move. Moves true for and aft. Considered him for RCC he lost out to eventual winner as he lacked a bit of animation at the crucial moment. 1 Haydon’s Earthaw Lincoln. Typical male being short and cobby. Head ok but would prefer more stop. Strong body, low to ground, moved with purpose. Has a super harsh coat. Handed to advantage another worthy of the RCC today but let his handler down at he last minute. 1 Thompson-morgan’s Belleville High Life. Upstanding male, excellent bone and substance. Well balanced. Excellent head proportions, strong muzzle, would prefer smaller ears. A little upright in shoulder causing top line to slope to his tail. Owned the ring as he strode round which won him the RCC. 2 Phillips’ Blakens Special Brew. Different type to 1, short, cobby and low to ground Another lovely head and expression. A little short in neck, level top line. Super quality coat, perfectly presented. A little unsettled at times today. 1 Gee’s Ch Watercroft Boozy Miller. This male shouts ‘Norfolk Terrier’ he excels in breed type. Excellent width of skull, strong muzzle, dark eye, for perfection would prefer a smaller ear. Strong, medium length of neck, level top line held on the move. So much has been written about him before not a lot left to say he is in excellent condition and gleaming coat. Worthy CC winner. 1 Tate’s Jaeva Puzzle Piece. Winner of a strong class of quality puppies. An absolute showgirl, standing and posing like a seasoned pro! Covered the ground with ease. Looks a little rangey at the moment but I am sure when she blossoms she will be one to watch. 2 Gee’s Watercroft Dawn Chorus. Similar type to 1 at the moment also being a little high on the leg. Good head for age, correct length of neck. Excellent straight tail and perfect tail set the same as 1. Movement a little erratic but positive this will improve with maturity. 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Dare To Dream. One I have admired previously. Super breed type, cobby, short and beautifully balanced. Lovely head with keen expression helped by her small dark eye. Medium length of neck, well placed shoulders, level top line short, straight tail. Moved with purpose and never stopped showing RCC. 2 Atkinson’s Moortop Bobby’s Girl. A little larger than 1. Another quality bitch of good breed type. Good head but would prefer a shorter muzzle. Strong medium length neck, preferred front construction of 1. Yet another fabulous tail. Moved with purpose. 1 Philips’ Ch Blakens Look to the Stars. Ultra smart black and tan bitch in superb coat and condition. Beautiful head and expression. Good length of neck, short coupled and well let down hocks. Excellent straight tail. Well off for bone and substance. Moved and showed too perfection. BCC. 2 Thompson-Morgans Belleville Ovation. Mature lady carrying a little too much weight today which made her seem heavy across the shoulder. Good head proportions pleasing expression, covered the ground well.
