NORFOLK DARLINGTON 10 Judge: Mr J B Baxter NORFOLK JUDGE DARLINGTON 10 Norfolk Terriers My main thoughts about the breed are the large round eyes which loses the varminty expression. Breeders should watch this. VD (1) 1 Wilson’s Sheltrice Dash of Magic, 9 years, good head shape, in good coat, moved true both ways. MPD (1) A. PD (4,1a) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Lord Angel, super youngster, ran the CC winner very close. Lovely head, well placed ears, straight front, short compact body, in good jacket, moved true, sure to go to the top. RCC & BP; 2 Mounfield’s Arderry Sky Rocket, pleasing in head, good bite, straight front. A shade long in back. In good coat & moved true; 3 Stevenson’s Brickin Better Be Good. JD (4 1 Devereux’s Vichea Pick Pocket, OK in head & expression, good bite, straight front, kept nice level topline on the move, moved true; 2 Green’s Wharfvalley Diamond Star, will change places on another day, very little between them, both of good stamp, same notes apply; 3 Atkinson’s Wharfvalley Diamond Bright at Moortop. PGD (0). LD (4,2) 1 List’s Settrenda Alfie Mac from Nicnips, well shaped head, good bite. Would have preferred a better front. Moved well; 2 Philip’s Jaeva Well I’ll Be Darned at Nordalset, b/t, nice shaped head, good ear carriage, short back, in harsh coat, moved wide in front. OD (3) 1 Stevenson’s Ch Penmire Wild Bramble by Brickin, caught my eye when he entered the ring, lovely dog to handle on the table, good mouth, dark eye, straight front, neck flowed into well laid shoulders, short coupled, in good jacket, well let down hocks, moved true. CC & BOB; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Ch Belleville Blacklace, b/t, nice for size, quality all through, lovely head, eye & expression, low to the ground, short firm back, kept level topline moving; 3 Smith’s Javidel Come What May. VB (0). MPB (5,1) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Silk Stockings, nice type, very much a baby, OK in head, will improve as she matures, in good coat, moved well; 2 Newton’s Strathinver Scilla Black, will improve with age. Very nice type, good front, well laid shoulders, in good coat, moved true; 3 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Free Spirit. PB (2) 1 Hitchen & Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Charlie’s Angel, b/t, very nice young bitch, flying her ears but when they settled OK in head. Will hold her own, straight front, in good coat, moved well; 2 List’s Nicnips Anya, short of coat, a little long in foreface. Moved OK. JB (4,1) 1 Phillips’ Blakens Toffee Kisses, b/t, a lot of quality, caught my eye when she entered the ring, lovely head, correct eye shape, good bite, nice length of neck, well placed shoulders, moved true & kept good topline on the move. CC; 2 Green’s Wharfvalley Diamond Diva, very nice in head, well placed ears, good mouth. A shade longer in back than 1, nevertheless a good specimen of the breed. Moved with drive; 3 Hitchen’s Kreatin Kiss ‘N’ Tell. PGB (2) 1 Phillips’ Vision Express at Blakens, pleasing in head, good mouth, straight front, well placed shoulders, level topline, well muscled backend, in good coat, moved OK; 2 Simpson’s Titanium Farandole for Megalex, b/t. Would have preferred a better front. Moved wide. OK in jacket. LB (5,2) 1 Cooper’s Settrenda Saucy Sox, nice type, good bite, straight front, kept level topline on the move, in harsh coat, moved true; 2 Bettesworth’s Kapitada Daisychain, not a lot to choose between first two. Same remarks apply; 3 Devereux’s Vichea Hot Gossip. OB (5,2) 1 Hurrion’s Valentines Cherry Crumble, a lot to like about this bitch, very nice head, good eye, lovely front, well placed shoulders, level topline, a good set-on, moved OK. RCC; 2 Atkinson’s Moortop Marys Choice, just a shade longer in back than 1 but a good type. Very nice head, good mouth & eye, moved true, in harsh coat; 3 Simpson’s Megalex Elusive Dream.
