1. Wren’s Jaeva Strut Your Stuff. Two very different dogs challenged here with this 2 yr old red coming out on top. Balanced in outline and carrying good bone. Moderate length of neck, nice level topline, pleasing rib which extends well back, short loin and tail set on well. Masculine head with slightly rounded skull of good breadth, correct ears, tad more length to muzzle than preferred, scissor bite. Scored here on the go around. Good texture to jacket.

2. Clarke’s Watercroft Pickled Pudding. 2 yr old red out of a smaller mould. Neck of sufficient length, firm level topline, short back and tail set on well. Nicely proportioned head, eye a little prominent, ears of correct size and set and good dentition. Moving well enough on the go around and when going away. Jacket of good texture.

1. Gee’s Watercroft Moon Dust. 19 mth old black/tan who very much appealed. I thought him so good for type and he presented a super compact outline with neck of moderate length, firm level topline, correct ribbing, short in the couplings and tail set on high. Quality head with the best of expressions; good skull to muzzle proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes, correct ears and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear, standing straight in front on good feet and certainly didn’t let himself when gaiting, using himself at all times and totally unfazed by the extreme heat on the day. Hard, wiry jacket of excellent presentation. CC & BOB.

2. Haydon’s Earthtaw Lincoln. This 5 yr old red has plenty to like, pleasing for type and outline and shown in super coat and condition. Moderate length of neck, level topline, well sprung ribs, muscular loin and tail set on high. Well proportioned head with pleasing expression; oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears good for size and set and correct dentition. On the move, he goes well on the go around and when coming towards but could be firmer behind. Well handled.

1. Gee’s Ch Watercroft Tiger Feet JW. Red approaching 2 yrs. This boy pleased for type, carries lovely bone and was good to go over. Strong neck of moderate neck, level topline, nice spring of rib, firm loin and tail set on well. Balanced headpiece with good breadth to skull, dark expressive eyes placed well apart, ears good for size and set and scissor bite. Good angles front and rear, elbows close to the body and stands nice and straight in front. Moving freely all through with particularly good rear action. Quality jacket and presentation. Just flagging a tad in the heat. RCC.

1. Clarke’s Watercroft Pickled Pudding. Best Special Beginners.

PB (3,1)

1. Tate’s Jaeva Ring Tone Taf. Two promising pup challenged here although quite different to each other. My winner was this 11 mth old red. She appealed for type and presented a good outline with neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, good length to ribcage, nice short loin and tail set on high. Feminine headpiece with slightly rounded skull, good eye and ear and scissor bite. She goes well on the go around but just needs to firm a tad in front. Good quality jacket. Best Puppy.

2. Gee’s Watercroft Toffee Nosed. 9 mth old black/tan carrying good bone. Neck of sufficient length, short level back, pleasing rib development for age, lovely short loin and tail set on high. Balanced head with super expression; dark oval-shaped eyes, ears correct for size and set and scissor bite. Pleasing angulation both front and rear and she stands well naturally. Gaiting true on the down and back but not quite profile action of 1.

1. Tate & Dragon’s Noragad's Royal Flush with Jaeva. Quality 17 mth old black/tan who was good to go over. Carrying good bone and well balanced with moderate length of neck, short back with firm topline, well sprung ribs and tail set on high and of good carriage. Correctly proportioned head with feminine expression; oval-shaped eyes of good colour, ears of good size and set and scissor bite. Well laid shoulders, straight forelegs and firm, muscular hindquarters. When gaiting, she really moves out and uses herself as she goes. Hard, wiry jacket. RCC.

2. Mullan’s Watercroft Maybellene. 16 mth old red with lots to like. She carries good bone and I thought her a good type. Neck of correct length to provide balance, short back with firm topline, pleasing rib, muscular loin and tail set on well. Feminine head of good proportions, dark expressive eyes and scissor bite. Moving well on the go around and when going away but somewhat wider when coming towards. Good quality jacket. Well handled.
