NORFOLK BORDER UNION 14 Judge(s): MRS PATSY GREEN Norfolk Terriers Thank you for your entry, maybe small in number but of good quality, & no absentees. PD (3) 1 Phillips’ Blakens Pay Back, a promising puppy, strong muzzle & well set neat ears, well presented harsh coat, moved well with strength behind. BP Atkinson’s Blakens I Look To You, b/t, masculine head, good bone, slow to settle on the move, slightly longer than 1 but should mature well; 3 Simpson’s Megalex Now Or Never. JD (1) 1 Riley’s Millstrand Cut The Mustard, a neat little b/t, good muzzle & dark correct eye, good mouth, in hash coat, moved well. PGD (2) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Countrywide, 15 months red dog with good bone, a short body with well sprung ribs, good mouth, played his handler up but won on conformation; 2 Simpson’s Umbrage Longton cum Megalex, longer cast than 1, good mouth, harsh coat, longer in hock but showed well with animation. LD (3) 1 Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Cufflink, lovely head with good eye & keen expression, short back with level topline, in immaculate coat, needed time to settle but moved well. CC & BOB; 2 Phillips’ Blackens The Kandy Man Kan, a very masculine head with strong muzzle, a good bite, well sprung ribs, moved well with drive; 3 Gee’s Watercroft Diamond Dealer. OD (2) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Ch Belleville Seduction, a dog I have admired from the ringside & did not disappoint on the table, a very masculine head with good stop & strong muzzle, compact body with level back, a quality b/t coat, not his usual handler & did not like the spikey grass but still showed good drive & angulation. RCC; 2 Newton’s Strathinver Smart Enough, a very strong masculine dog with a broad skull & good stop, well boned, not in such good coat today & rather unsettled on the move. PB (3) 1 Gee’s Watercroft Top Tipple, a very neat feminine bitch with good expression, low to the ground, cobby body, coat well presented, moved & showed well; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Tidy Affair, a different type to 1 with attractive head & good eye & correct terrier expression, liked her size & conformation, very uncooperative on the move, good red coat just coming which will finish the picture; 3 Simpson’s Megalex Well I Never. JB (3) 1 Hurrion’s Vilassa Star Turn, super head & true terrier expression from dark eye, liked her size & conformation, moving well in both directions, in well presented harsh red coat, pushed very hard for RCC but just needs a little more time for top honours; 2 Claydon’s Brymarden Starshine, a neat little bitch on her first outing, in tight deep red coat, good mouth, true varminty expression, a true terrier, moved well; 3 Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Play The Ace. LB (2) 1 Gee’s Hot Diamonds, a small neat feminine bitch, neat ears, good mouth, good spring of rib, a little wide in front; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Wild Ivy, a pleasing head with well set ears, good mouth, well ribbed body with nice bend of stifle, very short of coat so hiding nothing but another one not liking the grass. OB (3) 1 Gee’s Watercroft Top Of The Pops, pretty head, good muzzle & bite, good depth to body, moves well with drive & in immaculate harsh red coat. CC; 2 Smith’s Javidel Definitely Maybe, a very well presented b/t, liked her head & dark eye, well boned & she moved well. RCC. VB (1) 1 Dorkins’ Nanfan Chick Pea, reminded me of my first Norfolk, a happy little 8 year old in well presented good red coat, nicely presented, showing the rest how to show on grass. PATSY GREEN |
