NORFOLK JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 18

It was a great pleasure to be asked to judge at the Birmingham Dog Show which is most likely to be the last time I judge. I do feel that older breed judges should be given grandfather rights as we may only be asked to judge on alternate years. I have had Norfolks around me for 76 years having had one tied to my pram. Over the years many breeders have allowed me to go over their dogs this has given me great pleasure and I am grateful for the privilege. On Friday I was ably assisted by two excellent stewards who I wish to thank.

MPD (2)

1 Thompson-Morgan's Belleville Major Key. Up to correct size, of good construction, good mouth and moved well. 2 Atkinson's Moortop My Mark. Again first time out, good mouth, good quality coat, not used to moving, good tail carriage.

PD (3)

1 Stevenson's Brickin Just A Pickle. Up to size, nice head, good ear carriage, good tail carriage my Best Puppy. 2 Jenkins' Kinsridge Status Quo. Good quality coat, moving well, head not as good as first.

JD (5)

1 McPhee's Kinsridge No Problem At Foxhouse. Up to size, good quality red coat, nice ear carriage, good rear movement.

2 Gee's Watercroft Calling Time. Close coupled, coat out of condition, too small for me.

PGD (1)

1 Walker's Hedgfield Brucey Baby. Long in the body, ear carriage could be better, a good day out.

LD (3)

1 Atkinson's Charlie Blake At Moortop. Up to size, coat in good condition, good bone, moving well, good tail carriage.

2 Jenkins' Kinsridge Witty Banter. Head not as strong as first, tail carriage could be better, moved well.

OD (2)

1 Horne's Ch Marchdens Mark My Words. Lovely head, good eye, moves very well, my dog CC winner and BOB.

2 Stevenson's Brickin Pot Of Pickle. Return movement could be better, RCC.

PB (2)

1 Thompson-Morgan's Belleville Back To Black. Black and tan, nice size, moving well.

2 Gee's Watercroft Treacle Pudding. Small in size, nice short coat, hopefully will mature more.

PB (4)

1 Jenkins' Kinsridge Chitchat. Good quality red coat, nicely coupled, moved out well.

2 Phillip's Blakens Party Planner. Longer in the back, good eye, not so well behaved today.

JB (4)

1 Phillip's Blakens Look No Further. Up to size, nice tail set, red coat, moving well.

2 Gee's Watercroft Pink Fizz. Smaller, more compact, tail set not as good, moving well.

PGB (2)

1 Walshe's Beritas Bedevilled. Nice looking bitch, good topline, not moving as I would like.

LB (4)

1 Gee's Watercroft Gold Dust. Nicely coupled bitch, red coat in good order, nice head, could have more size about her, moving well my bitch CC winner.

2 Green's Wharfvalley Persuasion. Good quality coat, up to size, not moving as well as first, nice to see this kennel out again.

OB (3)

1 Thompson-Morgan's Belleville Ovation. Good red coat, nice tail set, good quality head, moving well RCC.

2 Phillip's Ch Marchdens Look To The Sky For Blakens. Black and tan, nicely put together, not moving as well today.
