NORFOLK JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 16

Norfolk Terriers

Thank you for the lovely entry today. Conditions in the hall were not great, very noisy & dirty made even worse because outside the sun was shining & we all wished we could be out there. I would like to thank my stewards who had a very long day.

MPD (1)

1 Thomson-Morgan’s Belleville Call Of Duty, very promising b/t &, moving out well on strong well angulated rear, masculine head with a dark almond shape eye. He was in good coat of correct texture. BPD.

PD (1)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Spell It Out, a little hesitant at first, but found his feet to move soundly. In lovely coat & has a correctly proportioned head & ears.

JD (6)

1 Newton’s Strathinver Sea The Stars, unsettled to start but soon got down to the job. One of the soundest movers today, compact body, well let down hocks, strong masculine head, dark eyes & well set ears, in great coat of good texture. RCC;

2 Gee’s Watercroft Chilli Pepper, another very promising young man. In wonderful coat & trim. Lovely head & expression, good spring of rib. Ample bone & nicely angulated hindquarters;

3 Atkinson’s Charlie Blake at Moortop.

PGD (1)

1 Atkinson’s Moortop Marks Delivery, moving soundly & carrying himself well. In lovely coat, & has a very appealing head. Compact body & good bone.

OD (4,1a)

1 Phillips’ Ch Blakens Pay Back, a very impressive mature Norfolk. Strong muscular body with powerful hindquarters. Head & expression was spot on. Great bone & super spring of rib. He moved soundly with correct reach & keeping a nice outline on the move. Showing all the time. His coat was in tip-top form & groomed beautifully. CC;

2 Atkinson’s Blakens I Look To You, a b/t in super coat of good texture, went soundly both ends. Loved his lay of shoulder & reach of neck. & his super tailset;

3 Newton’s Strathinver Smart Enough.

MPB (5)

1 Thomson-Morgan’s Belleville Ovation, very pretty puppy, moving soundly & very confidently for one so young. Lovely head & expression. Good bone, short compact body;

2 Gee’s Watercroft Name Your Tipple, I fell for this pup, standing she was a dream. Tail up showing herself of beautifully. Short compact body, good spring of rib, lovely head. Most of the time she did move & I could see she was sound, but now & again she would put on the brakes. Could not deny her her placing here;

3 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Hey Ho.

PB (6,1)

1 Green’s Wharfvalley Persuasion, what a sweet heart! Such a pretty expression but still see the terrier in her. The soundest in this class, very steady striding out well. She had dark eyes & well placed ears, had great bone & substance, well placed shoulders & a lovely front. She was in perfect coat & groomed beautifully. BP;

2 Atkinson’s Moortop Clear Choice, another lovely pup. Short compact with well angulated hindquarters. Showing & moving well. She had a great coat of good texture;

3 Phillips’ Moortop Pay’n Go.

JB (3)

1 Phillips’ Blakens Tootie Frutie, the star of the day. Super all round. Completely balanced throughtout, she is hard to fault. All her angles are correct, she has a gorgeous head & expression. Feminine yet a true terrier look. Her strong neck flows into well laid back shoulders, her elbows are close to her body so she has a wonderful front action. She has well sprung ribs & short loin which gives her a strong compact body. She has well muscled hindquarters so she can move round the ring with ease & drive. Her coat was perfect, good texture & trimmed expertly. BOB;

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Full Of Pose, nice type. Lovely head & good bone. Strong hindquarters, in lovely coat of correct texture. When she moved she went soundly keeping a very pleasant picture;

3 Phillips’ Nordalset Chase The Storm.

PGB (5,1)

1 Phillips’ Nordalset Sunny Skies, a lovely bitch, short & balanced with such a good head with all the correct proportions. She moved soundly & with style. She was well angulated with plenty & muscletone so she could move with ease & drive. Loved her dark red coat that had a good texture;

2 Macartney’s Nordalset Little Bit Of Sun for Ivrig, a b/t with plenty of substance. She was in lovely coat & moved soundly both ways. She had good bone & her head had a pleasing expression. She showed herself off to advantage;

3 Simpson’s Megalex Well I Never.

LB (7)

1 Gee’s Watercroft Top Tipple, a lovely head with correct proportions, good bone & well angulated front & rear. Moving with drive & style. Great spring of rib & good strong legs. A lot to like about her;

2 Davies & Dixon’s Perrisblu Pricilla, eyecatching & very showy. She moved soundly on well angulated hindquarters. Good front & a pretty head, & she was well balanced. Her coat was trimmed nicely but far too much coat preparation had been put in her coat so could not feel her coat texture. But I could not deny her placing because of that;

3 Stevenson’s Brickin Simplicity.

OB (2,1)

1 Jenkins’ Ch Kinsridge Top Tip, she makes a lovely picture standing & moving. Head of correct proportioned, good bone, nice spring of rib. She is beautifully groomed to show of her many virtues & she never stops showing. RCC.

VB (1)

1 Hurrion’s Ch Valentines Cherry Crumble, showing like a trouper. Flying round the ring like a pup. Pretty head & expression, compact & well balanced. Looking even better than she did as a youngster. BV.
