MANCHESTER WELSH KENNEL CLUB 14 Judge: Mr T D Mather BEST OF BREED : 4963 SAXTON, Miss E A & DALE, Mr P N & DALE Miss B Rattustrap Top Totty Hew-13 Fiw-13 JW Sh.CM MANCHESTER JUDGE WELSH KENNEL CLUB 14 Manchester Terriers All the dogs shown were clean & well conditioned. Temperaments were excellent. PD (1) 1 Freer & Priestman’s Felfree Top Oscar, presents a lovely outline as he is compact & shapely with a slight rise over the loin. Pleasing size & balance, good skull & eye. Well bodied & in good muscletone. Beautifully marked with a rich mahogany tan. BP. JD (2) 1 F Top Oscar; 2 Brown’s Talanors Sweet Dreams, a really good moving dog shown in hard muscular condition, good neck & shoulders, well ribbed with some cut-up. Couldn’t quite match the ear or tail carriage of the winner. Very good on the move. PGD (1) 1 Pyne’s Brockenella’s Chancer at Budley, a well made dog with a good head & eye, neat ears. Shapely with a good body & decent hindquarters. Moves very well in profile with some reach & drive. Rich tan & clear thumbprints & pencilling. OD (8,1a) 1 Dunford, Akrigg & Walton’s Ch Quixol Alexander, very pleasing clean lengthy head with a dark sparkling eye & neat ears. Nicely crested neck & well ribbed with slight rise over the loin & some tuck-up. Moved well both coming & going & impresses in profile. Good textured, smooth glossy jacket. CC; 2 Knight’s Westbank Blue Diamond for Talanors, another good dog, of obvious good type & balance, shapely with rise over the loin & good tailset & carriage. Pleasing head & expression, good forehand & well angulated hindquarters. Lovely rich tan & good markings. Moved well. RCC; 3 Norris’ Ch Brookstream Louis De Blue. VB (1) 1 Forshaw’s Gloryline Lady Jane Grey, feminine, compact & elegant with a very good head & lovely expression. Well made & presents a good outline with her nicely arched loin, good neck & decent tailset. Absolutely sound on the move & shown in first class condition. Tan could be richer but she has very clear, well defined thumbprints. PB (5,1) 1 Scanlan’s Digels A Dixi Chick, possesses a long clean flat skull, neat ear & small dark eye. Good forehand with well laid shoulders. Well bodied with a typical topline & pleases on the move. Jet black jacket & rich tan. Very promising & should finish at the top; 2 Wicker’s Mimbre Bombette, shapely & presents a very pleasing outline both stacked & when moving. Good skull, uses her ears well. Strong well muscled hindquarters. Close, glossy coat of good texture; 3 Peacham’s Felfree A Touch Of Glam. JB (5,1) 1 Symington’s Talanors Secret Treat, beautifully balanced & very typy. Good head with neat ears & dark sparkling eyes. Nicely arched neck with a good forehand & decent depth of brisket with some cut-up & nicely arched loin. Moves very well. RCC; 2 Fletcher & Butler’s Joemario Just A Dash, shapely & compact & pleasing for both size & balance. Good forehand. Well ribbed but just fractionally flatter in topline than the winner. Moved well; 3 Jones’ Barleydust Fayre Day. PGB (1) 1 Saville’s Querceti Isadora for Dobermatian, stood alone but she is right out of the top drawer & has a lot of quality. Shapely with a typical head & expression, good forehand & strong well angulated hindquarters. Clear markings & her tan is rich & bright. LB (6,1) 1 Brander’s Nightstorms Miss Chevious at Menfreya, scored here with her maturity of body. A soundly made, compact bitch of good type & size. Pleasing head with good ears & dark sparking eye, good forehand, some cut-up, lovely rich mahogany tan & absolutely sound on the move; 2 Walshaw’s Digelsa Diva avec Janmark, nearly 2 years younger than the winner but she too is very soundly made & of really good type. Lovely arched neck & good shoulders, shapely & compact & extremely sound on the move; 3 Forshaw’s Calastoa’s Lucky Star. OB (5) 1 Saxton & Dale’s Rattustrap Top Totty, very elegant & compact with a real ‘look at me attitude’. Long clean head with good ears, nicely arched neck & good forehand. Well ribbed with defined cut up & nicely rounded, muscular hindquarter which enabled her to move with some reach & drive. Smooth glossy coat with clear markings & rich mahogany tan. Good luck for the third CC. CC & BOB; 2 Dunford & Akrigg’s Paucelin Armana by Quixol, lovely headed bitch with neat ears & good eye. Decent forequarters & well bodied with a strong loin. Very good moving with a free driving action; 3 Leigh & Nonog’s Am/Can Jetcity Cat Woman Sings The Blues to Mansiy. TOM MATHER |
