Manchester Terriers

PD (2)

1 Harrison’s Magpiebank Tern for Texanger, pleasing outline & overall size. Shown in a gleaming well marked jacket. Strong head, with a clean wedge & dark eyes, ears need to settle. Good neck & shoulders, good topline, tail set on well & carried correctly too. Needs to settle a little on move as was pulling a bit, but his breed qualities won him BP;

2 Belshaw’s Utterbygreen Mint Fudge, bigger built boy with good bone & substance, just needs to concentrate & settle on the move. Good clean wedge head, small dark eyes, ears unsettled at the moment. Nice neck & shoulders, good topline, just a bit proud of tail on move.

JD (2,1a)

1 Aspden’s Exdraco Tony Wilson, a fit well well muscled boy, shown in gleaming condition with clearly defined tans. Long wedge head, very dark eyes, good bite, would like a tighter ear carriage. Good overall size, pleasing front & feet, good tuck up & sweep of stifle. Moved out well, topline just flattening a little in profile.

YD (2)

1 Straughan & Cripps’ Talanors In For A Treat, well grown lad with a good outline. Masculine wedge head & lovely dark eyes, ears a bit heavy & need to settle. Good tans & markings, well off for bone with a good topline & tail carriage. Shown in fit condition with very good muscletone. Moves out with good reach & drive;

2 E Tony Wilson, just lost out to winner on topline & earset.

PGD (5,3)

1 Holmes’ Egloshayle Black Dylan, bigger built well balanced dog. Just slightly preferred his head, long wedge & small dark eyes, ears rather unsettled. Good front, legs & topline & nicely angulated hindquarters. Shown in gleaming coat & fit condition. Moved out soundly;

2 Almond’s Eaglespur Classic Charmer, good for size, with a pleasing long wedge shaped head, would like a touch darker eyes & tighter ear carriage. Good front, shoulders & topline. Well muscled & shown in lovely coat condition with well defined markings. Moved well.

LD (2,1)

1 Church’s Rattustrap Charlie Brown, pleasing quality boy, good size & outline. Very nice head, long wedge, high set ears, eyes could be a touch darker but good shape. Good front & legs, well laid shoulders & pleasing topline. Shown in super coat & condition & well-marked too with clearly defined tans. Moved out well with drive.

OD (4,1)

1 Carter’s Ch Digelsa Declaration, this dog has real terrier outlook, on his toes at all times. Good for size with a shapely outline. Head screams Manchester Terrier to me, masculine, long wedge, really dark eyes, good shape too & well placed ears giving a typical expression. Good front & legs, well placed shoulders, correct topline, well angulated quarters & correctly carried tail on move. In super coat & shown in hard fit condition. Moved out really well with good reach & drive. Fit for purpose, you bet, I can see him despatching a rat or two! I was very pleased to award him the CC & BOB. Delighted to see him gain recognition in the Terrier Group by taking G3;

2 Walshaw’s Talanors Diamonds N’ Dreams avec Janmark, another top quality dog with real terrier attitude. Lovely head, masculine wedge shape, small dark eyes, high set ears all giving a typical expression. Good legs & feet, super markings, pleasing topline. Carries his tail a touch high on the move, but a very typy boy, shown in fit hard condition. Pleased to award him RCC;

3 Harrison’s Magpiebank Ash.

PB (4)

1 Saville’s Simjest Back To Black by Dobermatian, bigger built girl, but has good balance & substance. Long wedge head, very dark almond eyes, high set ears although not using them so well today. Good legs & feet, good shoulders & depth of brisket, good tuck-up & tailset. Shown in gleaming coat with rich tans & fit condition. Moved out well;

2 Knight’s Talanors Diamond Treat, just 6 months, buts this young lady is very promising, lots of developing to do of course, but I liked her size & balanced outline. Quality feminine head, very dark eyes & well placed ears. Good front, shoulders & rear angulation. Coat in good condition & moved out well enough;

3 Greenslade’s Utterbygreen Mint Chocolate.

JB (0).

YB (2)

1 Walker’s Talanors Treat Me Good at Sizlin, smaller & finer built bitch with a well balanced outline. Long wedge head, well placed ears & small almond eyes. Nice straight front, good neck & shoulders & a good topline. Lovely rich tans & coat in good condition, moved out well;

2 Marshall’s Talanors Treat Me Special at Jepejo, bigger built bitch. Good wedge head, dark eyes, her ears were very unsettled. Good front, shoulders & topline whilst standing. Well conditioned coat & condition with rich tans & well defined colours. Could be moved slightly faster as she does tends to pace.

PGB (2)

1 Heller’s Limoncello Cecilia Beaux, preferred her head, wedge shaped, dark eyes, ears unsettled & not used to best advantage. Good front & legs with well defined markings. Good depth of brisket & tuck-up & nicely angulated hindquarters. Well muscled & glossy coat. Moved out with drive;

2 Boot’s TTombower Princess Phoebe, slightly bigger built than winner, long head but would like a little blunter finish to muzzle, & eyes could be a touch darker but correctly shaped. Good front construction, topline & tailset & moved out with a good stride. Shown in lovely bloom & condition.

LB (2)

1 Bovill’s Rattustrap Maid Marian at Ingwine, had a touch more substance & slightly better head, long wedge, dark eyes, ears very unsettled but high set. Good legs & feet. Good depth of brisket, pleasing outline & good tuck & well muscled too. Shown in good coat & condition with well defined markings. Moved out well;

2 Jones’ Barleydust Fayre Day, nice overall make & shape, long wedge head & small eyes, ears a little wide set. Good front & feet, good depth of brisket & good tuck-up. Shown in lovely coat & muscletone with clearly defined markings.

OB (3)

1 Cawley’s Ch Marlablue In A Twirl, super bitch, lovely feminine head, long wedge, high set neat ears & dark almond eyes giving an alert & intelligent expression. Good front construction, well laid shoulders, good depth of brisket, good tuck-up & tail held correctly both standing & on move giving her a pleasing well balanced outline. Shown in lovely condition & another who is clearly fit for purpose with an alert terrier outlook. Moved out very well with good reach & drive & confidently too. Pleased to award her CC & BOS;

2 Oxley’s Digelsa D’amour, again a lovely bitch, full of quality & of a good size & outline. Super head & expression, neat ears & dark well shaped eyes. Pleasing outline, correct front assembly, good depth of brisket, good topline & tuck-up, just rather proud of her tail on the move today, which I forgave as I felt that her breed points outweighed this. Shown in fit condition & super coat. Moved out with a free & easy stride. Pleased to award her the RCC;

3 Greenslade’s Calastoa’s Material Girl.
