MANCHESTER JUDGE WELKS 14

Manchester Terriers

PD (2)

1 Harrison’s Magpieban Ash, smart boy, head a good shape, well filled under the eyes. Ears a little heavy & falling to the side of skull. Good neck & front which is not too broad, excellent body, well cut up & sound quarters. Keeps a perfect topline in profile & has a good stride. Tail could be carried lower;

2 Brown’s Talanors Sweet Dreams, also a pleasing head. One ear still wayward. Good depth & width of chest, topline is too flat. Wonderful quarters & so nicely muscled for age. Good colour too.

JD (2)

1 Willis’ Talanors Super Treat, beautiful head & earset, dark almond eyes. A touch short in neck & down at the front where he paddles somewhat. Good legs & deep tan. Good slight arch to loin & tailset seems OK. He does move a bit too much tucked under in profile & could extend more.

PGD (3)

1 Pyne’s Brockenella’s Chancer at Budley, rangy type, good lean backskull, fair front, correct semi-hare feet, deep chest, not over-wide. Flattens out in profile movement & his tail comes up too high. Good quarters, neat hocks, good thumbmarks & pencilling;

2 Noden’s Joemario Running On Red, nervous on the table & not settled showing. Out of coat & short in neck. Lovely handy size & he is very strong & powerful. Needs better angulation both ends.

LD (2)

1 Ferguson’s Felfree Rocket, lovely head, eyes & expression. Tight lips, ears fold too much & should be set higher. Well made body, OK in topline, moved well all ways. Has a little breeching on outside of quarters otherwise good colour & in fine coat & body condition.

OD (9)

1 Beardow’s Ch/Int/Wor Ch Talanors Hellova Treat for Sipowitz, tan is a little light perhaps but he scores on balance & soundness of movement. Glossy black coat, excellent size & proportions correct, good feet, lovely front & shoulder set correct, topline & croup & enough rear angulation, great mover. CC & BOB;

2 Saville’s Calastoa’s Man In The Mirror of Dobermatian, wonderful head & perfect set of ears. Good tan, strong legs & feet are good. Lovely body, just not quite the set of croup as 1 & tail carriage too high. Also a correct mover in profile. RCC;

3 Charlton’s Ch Digelsa Diamond Geezat Lizelms.

PB (5)

1 Smith’s Simjest Kiara’s Candy Girl, smart & sound puppy, ears could be set a little higher on head. Elegant neck, not too wide in front, good body & rear & she moves well & holds herself nicely in profile. Would prefer less tan under vent. RCC & BP;

2 Cawley’s Marlablue In A Twirl, beautiful head & ears look promising. Good to go over & she has a good lay of shoulder, curvy body, good quarters. Just babyish today & tending to sidewind as yet. Very promising;

3 Evans’ Twisel Magic Sunset.

JB (3)

1 Walshaw’s Digelsa Diva avec Janmark, wish her tail was set & carried lower & her ears could tip over further. Lovely front & body is nicely cut up & excellent quarters, good rich tan. An elegant bitch with a good head & strong jaws, correct hear hare feet & firm legs. Super mover & ideal size. CC;

2 Thurlow’s Erkenwyne Lady Guinevere, needs more tan on chest & on the day had a bit of milk below! A little more reach of neck for elegance would improve but a sound mover, good coat & body condition & holds an excellent topline;

3 Saville’s Querceti Isadora for Dobermatian.

PGB (2)

1 E Lady Guinevere;

2 Buxton’s Millacome Maid Of Magic, eyes a touch light in colour but it doesn’t spoil her expression. Shoudler blades set too wide apart at withers & front movement could be improved. Deep chest, OK in topline, well made quarters & she strode out well in rear. In lovely condition & coat.

LB (5)

Difficult class.

1 Boggis’ Doraigdu Misty For Me at Laurenbill, scored on her overall outline & proportions of height to length, super front, good thumbmarks & pencilling, elegant body. Ears could be held better. Moved well;

2 Hammett’s Digelsa Double Take for Bryedal, lovely feminine shape & perfect size & type. She was tucking her rear under her moving & not stretching out as I feel she could. A lovely girl maybe feeling the cold today;

3 Smith’s Calastoa’s Lady Of Meltham at Simjest.

OB (6)

1 Oxley’s Ch Digelsa De Ja Vu, tallish bitch, very sound on the move & holding a better topline than 2 on the profile go round. Correct feet for the breed, elegant neck, OK in rear, has a slight tendency to elbow coming towards. Liked her head & expression & she was attentive & showing well;

2 Saxton & Dale’s Rattustrap Top Totty, the most perfect set of ears. Maybe needs a touch stronger muzzle for length & strength. Elegant neck set & standing looked unbeatable. I felt she just flattened out in topline & looking a touch angular in profile. Lovely type & quality;

3 Knight’s Ch Talanors Taylor Made Treat.
