MANCHESTER JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 14
MANCHESTER TERRIERS
Many thanks to the committee and secretary for granting me my appointment here today. And of course to my stewards. I found temperament to be excellent in both dogs and bitch’s, all mouths correct with lovely clean teeth, glad to see this, as in the past lack of oral cleanliness was a noticeable point
Thank you to you all, the sporting atmosphere made the day enjoyable.

1 Doherty’s Malskred Kaspario Balaq. Nine month old puppy, nicely bodied with good tuck up tail carried correctly, lovely head & expression, well laid shoulder, good straight front, in excellent condition with good temperament, all breed points correct, good movement with plenty of drive handled well. R.B.D.
Stewarts Eulalies Mustard seed. Good strong wedge head , well- muscled strong body, all breed points correct, steady temperament moved well with drive Just carried his tail a little too gaily, handled kindly.
PGD (1)
1 Doherty’s Malskred Quorin Halfhand Good strong dog well- muscled, lovely head with wicked dark eye, one of many who is taller than he should be. In spite of this he is well balanced. A little unsure when moved, maybe noise from adjacent ring unsettled him, on recovery quite acceptable. All breed points correct Handled with good control.
O.D.4 (1) 1st Olbinsen & Kelly’s Paucelin Andoni at Carapast Positive easy movement, one of the few in the breed that is the correct height. Good all round dog with all required points correct, presented in good hard condition, coat in excellent fettle, well handled, and showed as one with owner.B.D
2 Buxton’s Millacombe Made In Heaven Presented in good well-muscled condition, very well groomed, strong head, all breed points correct, again one of our taller dogs but well balanced, in movement he was a pleasure to watch with good strong drive, lovely easy temperament.
3 Cockcroft’s NZ. CH. Lindhorn Spellbound
PB 3 (1)
1 Cawley’s Marlablue in a twirl. Although the youngest here today at seven and half months she truly deserved the honours given to her. Of good size compact body shaping up very nicely, well behaved on the table and movement was excellent. Presented in good condition, all breed points correct. I expect the heaviness of her thumbprints will clear as she matures, excellently handled by her young owner. BP. RBB
2 Doherty’s Malskred Missandel Galare. Lovely feminine head and expression with dark almond eyes, coat in pristine condition, a little wary on the table and on the move, but I understand she has only been shown once before, so an overwhelming occasion for her, should come together with more experience.
J.B.2
1Thurlow’s Erkenwynne Lady Guinevere. Pleased to say what a picture, correct size, tip top condition, very feminine, neat ears well held, good lay of shoulder and rise over loin, lovely smooth movement with plenty of drive, worked as one with her owner who handled her well, all terrier but with a pleasant disposition, well deserved B.O.B.
2 Sharpe’s Rosettia Ruby Reflection. On the stand a pretty bitch with good markings, but unsettled and shy on the table, after encouragement allowed me to go over her to my satisfaction. A steady mover jus lifting front feet a little high. All breed points correct.
P.G.B.5 (2)
1 Thurlow’s Erkenwynne Lady Guinevere Pretty good looking bitch, with nice steady temperament decent size in proportion, well behaved on the table. All breed points correct, movement strong with drive but a tendency to lift front feet higher than I like, in profile excellent.
2 Sharpe’s Rosettia Ruby Reflection.
3 Buxton’s Millacombe Maid of Magic
O.B..4(2)
1 Cawley’s Digelsa Dancing with Darla, Neat good looking bitch which credits her breeding, good temperament , colour & coat in lovely condition, well behaved on table, movement o.k. but today a little stilted in front. Handled well.
2 Boggis’s Ddraigdu Misty for Me at Laurenbill. Lovely bitch, sweet in temperament and steady in movement,, carrying a little too much weight, but truly the proper old fashioned Manchester. All breed points correct, a pleasure to go over.
