Manchester Terriers

PD (6)

1 Church’s Rattustrap Charlie Brown, 9 months, clean, fit & presented a picture of type, balance & correct size. Long head, clean through. Front narrow but straight with sloping shoulder. Good depth & well conditioned. Clear rich tan markings with pencilling. Positive mover;

2 Smith’s Simjest My Lad Wiggins, 11 month & has finish, would not want any bigger but is clean with good shape. Good skin & clear markings. Performed with ease & footfall to take his place;

3 Charlton’s Digelsa Done N’ Dusted at Lizelms.

JD (2,1a)

1 S My Lad Wiggins.

PGD (5,1)

1 Freer & Priestman’s Felfree Top Oscar, stood away here. What a pleasing chap to judge. Liked him for size & masculinity with correct bone for size. Clean long head with underjaw. Good depth of rib, flowing rise over muscular loin. Firm hocks providing drive. Coat is close firm & gleaming with health. Notice from the catalogue he is sibling to my BB;

2 Rowbottom & Morris’ Calastoas Amber Gambler at Ttonbowor, this one did tend to pace at times, which was frustrating, however his foot placement was right when he concentrated & he has the construction to give ease of stride. Correct size, masculine with good shape & clean lines. Clear markings on coal black coat;

3 Stafford’s Westwytch Bolt For Gold.

OD (6,2)

First & second provided a close call here & on reading the catalogue, I find both they & BP by the same sire, obviously puts his quality in there. Both were in immaculate condition & muscular definition. Compact & elegant with long dry head & , dark, well fitting eye, with that glint of a terrier, enhanced by ears that are balanced with head & used to advantage. Each were handled unobtrusively to display their dogs assets. In the final round felt Diamonds N Dreams just had that touch more to give. Super boys.

1 Walshaw’s Talanors Diamonds N’Dreams avec Janmark. BD & BOB;

2 Carter & Harrison’s Ch Digelsa Declaration. RBD;

3 Harrison’s Magpiebank Ash.

PB (6,1)

1 Oxley’s Digelsa D’amour, poise, posture & such belief in herself, made you look & look again. She has an exquisite head, long lean, but not weak. A cheeky glint in her dark well placed eye, her foreface is balanced with dry lips & width to jaw. Good leg to depth with sprung ribs to developed loin, giving typical outline. Absolutely sound & stylish moving. Clear dark tan with pencilling. BP & PG2;

2 Barlow’s Nightfury Bold Venture, rising 12 months & not a lot wrong with this one. She is clean with decent headpiece, muscled neck flowing through clean shoulders. Firm back with rise to give shape. Clear black with good pencilling & coat firm & healthy;

3 Keates’ Simjest Lady Tiana.

JB (1)

1 N Bold Venture.

PGB (3,2)

1 Jones’ Barleydust Fayre Day, 2 year old bitch who presented a balanced outline with good length of leg to depth & compact body. Turned out in good order. Could have a touch longer stride.

OB (5,1)

Decent class.

1 Peacham’s Felfree A Touch Of Glam for Manrio, again two real quality ones headed this class. Another look & they could change places. This one was supple, free & active, nothing overdone or exaggerated. Loved her head & each part fitted through the next well. Fabulous mover in the class & challenge, but must have stood on something in the run off for best of breed. Loved her for type. BB;

2 Saxton & Dale’s Multi Ch Rattustrap Top Totty, overall presentation & gleaming coat catch your eye at first glance & easy to see she has her title. I thought highly of her, fulfils the Standard admirably for me. First just had the charm & fluidity for me today. RBB;

3 Smith’s Ch Simjest Kiara’s Candy Girl.
