JD (1)

1 Smith's Simjest Serious Moonlight. Smart young dog in peak condition. Liked his size and overall shape. would just like another inch in his loin for better balance. Super eye set and shape. Strength to muzzle and underjaw. Ears set high and of good size which creates desired expression when alert but need to settle and carried a good inch away from skull. Wonderfully rich tan and perfect thumb prints. Moved well in profile.

PGD (1)

1st & RBD Almond's Eaglespur Classic Charmer. Larger dog in rock hard condition and gleaming black jacket. Wedge shaped head with strength to underjaw. Eyes of good size and shape; prefer a darker eye. Ears set well but very large and whilst dropped perfectly they fell below his eye line. Very good top line with rise over loin. Moved well in profile and sound away and back.

OD (1)

1st BD & BOB Carter's Ch Digelsa Declaration. To breed a dog that adheres so closely to the breed standard is one thing but to have that extra 'show star quality' is such an added bonus. This dog loves the show ring - so alert, dotes on his handler and never stops wagging that bee-sting tail. I lived his head and expression. So alert with perfect ears for size and set with such a tight drop. Dark eye and strong muzzle. Such a well balanced dog whether stood or on the move. Slight arch to neck into well laid shoulders and text book top line leading to low set tail. Moves so soundly. Such dark pigmentation which because of his age has started to show in his merged thumb prints and definition of markings. Nothing to hide and has justifiably enjoyed a 'breed history making' illustrious show career.

PB (2)

Two very promising minor puppies. Loved them both.

1st Walshaw's Janmark Back T'black. Just 6 months and was not quite sure why Dad had brought her to a very muddy wet field for the day. A little overawed on her show debut which showed in her expression at times but certainly not on the move. Perfect size and overall body shape. Ears still need to finish dropping but so well set and not too big. Loved her eye shape and set. Elegant neck and correct top line with perfect tail set. A picture when moving in profile with accurate foot fall.

2nd Knight's Talanors Typically Special. Another beauty for size and overall shape. Really catches your eye on initial stand. So alert and had more confidence than the winner. I loved her head. Dark almond eye set just right and excellent ears for size and set dropping tightly to skull. Such a shame she did not like the mud which affected her movement today and one has to judge the dogs on the day. Look forward to meeting her again.

JB (2)

1st & RBB & BPIB Knight's Talanors Diamond Treat. A more mature puppy at 12 months and whilst she does not have the head and expression of the two minor puppies she is point for point a good example of the breed. A little broader in back skull and ears wider apart. They drop nice and tight but are very large which detracts from overall expression. The darkest of eye. Good strength to muzzle. She really scores in body being of good size and very good shape. Excellent top line and tail set. Very sound on the move. I can see exactly why the breeder has kept this puppy.

2 Saville's Simjest Back To Black by Dobermation JW. Another not so enamoured with the ground conditions. Makes a good shape stood and of good overall size. Like her head proportions and eye shape and set. Ears set high but one needs to settle which detracts from overall expression. Top line showed rise over the loin and low set tail. Over reaching on the move which caused her to crab badly today.

OB (2,1)

1st & BB Barlow's Nightfury Bold Venture JW. Beautifully balanced bitch of ideal size. Loved her head and eye shape and set. Ears set really high and of good size - just dropping a centimetre short of skull but still gives desired alert expression. Elegant in neck and well laid shoulders. Very good in top line with rise over loin and low set tail. Bright tans and perfect thumb prints. Moves very accurately and well deserving of a Champion title which I am sure will not be far away.
