MANCHESTER DARLINGTON 15 Judge: Mr R Thomas BEST OF BREED : 1050 KNIGHT Mr C & Mrs G Ch Westbank Blue Diamond For Talanors Manchester Terriers V (1) 1 BV, Goodman’s Eaglespur Misty Morn, at 14 years a credit to the breed & his owner. Completed his triangle with good hind movement. Headpiece OK with good wedge & a cracking bite. Although showing a somewhat exaggerated topline he was full of himself & shown in excellent condition. PD & JD (0). PGD (2,1a) 1 RBD, Goodman’s Joemario Moonlit Shadow, nice for size & pleased in head, eye & ears with good body shape, topline & neat feet. Somewhat erratic on the move but finally settled, driving quite well from the rear. OD (1) 1 BD & BOB, Knight’s Ch Westbank Blue Diamond for Talanors, stood away today. Balanced all through with a cracking headpiece, excellent wedge, good bite & scored in neck, topline & quarters. He is well marked & turned out so well with his gleaming coat & is in tip top condition. Moved out freely both ways, covering plenty of ground with a pleasing side gait. PB (2) 1 BP, Barlow’s Nightfury Bold Venture, well shaped head, with eye, ears, neck & shoulders all plus points. Nicely marked & held a good topline at all times. Strong hindquarters produced plenty of drive on the move; 2 Sharpes’ Rosettia High Hopes, close up, she has a pleasing head & expression & is strong & well muscled all through. Just preferred the ear carriage & markings of 1. Once settled moved out quite well. JB (0). PGB (1) 1 Sharpes’ Rosettia Ruby Reflection, nice for size & shape, is well made & marked & has a well proportioned head & good wedge, though ear carriage could have been better. Pleased in topline & tailset & moved quite well going away. OB (2) 1 BB, Forshaw’s Calastoa’s Lucky Star, nice shape & size to this bitch & pleased in head, neck & shoulders. She has a straight front, good rib & a correct topline in profile. Out-moved 2 & drove well from strong hindquarters; 2 RBB, Saville’s Querceti Isadora for Dobermatian, again, nice for size with good wedge shaped head & a dark, expressive eye, excellent dentition, straight front & well marked. A shame she was erratic on the move which affected her topline. ROGER THOMAS |
