Manchester Terriers

A super entry awaited me & what a wonderful opportunity to go over some top quality Manchesters.

V (3)

1 Hemsell’s Tetani Princess Of Darkness, stood out in this class & was the soundest on the move. Pleasing wedge head, very feminine, small dark almond eye, good length of neck, well laid shoulders, deep chest & good tuck up, curvy outline & presented in a thick jacket with rich tans, moved well;

2 Goodman’s Eaglespur Misty Morn, older bitch, starting to show her age a little, wedge shaped head, dark eye. Ears a bit untidy. She still has a thick jacket & is well muscled for her age, moved soundly & although I preferred the breed type of 3, this bitch outmoved her & clearly still enjoys her showing;

3 Hemsell’s Tetani Kesseny Dhu.

PD (2)

Two very nice young pups.

1 Creber & Beardow’s Talanors Hellova Treat for Sipowitz, super wedge head on this young dog, very masculine yet not coarse in any way, elegant neck, well laid shoulders, firm topline & deep chest, super quarters, so well muscled, in first class coat, excellent thumbprints, moved true fore & aft, an exciting prospect, certainly gave the older dogs a run for their money. Won on his maturity & togetherness on the move. BP & RBD, with any luck should make it to the top in my opinion;

2 Forshaw’s Janzins Rock Star, just appears a little leggier at this stage & not so well muscled as 1. Super head, wedge shaped, dark eye, lovely elegant neck, well laid shoulders & deep chest, moves true behind. A little wide in front, just needs plenty of time to develop.

JD (1)

1 Goodwin’s Digelsa Dionysis, pleasing size & shape, masculine wedge head, high set ears, straight front, well laid shoulders, deep chest, well turned stifles & straight hocks, in super condition, thick close hard jacket, rich tans & very good muscle tone, moves freely. A really nice quality young dog, still some maturing to do to complete the picture.

PGD (1)

1 Dale’s Megellan Rumble in Rattustrap, a young dog who appeals for size & type, shapely well balanced outline, attractive wedge head, high set ears, small dark almond eye, elegant neck, straight front, well laid shoulders, deep chest & excellent muscling on hindquarters. On the move he looks really good in profile but going away was close behind.

OD (2)

1 Norris’ Ch Brookstream Marcus Banks, stood out for me, a true terrier & in superb fitness & overall condition, oozes quality, super long wedge head, well set ears & wicked small dark almond eye, elegant neck, well laid shoulders, straight front, superb topline, presenting a curvy outline with substance, purposeful movement that is true & accurate. Perhaps his tail can be carried a tad high at times. He would make a formidable opponent for any rat! BOB;

2 Thurlow’s Westwytch Tourmaline Taboo at Erkenwyne, pleasing masculine wedge head. Ears set on a bit wide. Elegant neck. Shoulder a little more upright than winner, deep chest & good tuck-up, presented in excellent coat & condition, moves soundly. Tended to run down at shoulder a little.

PB (3,1a)

1 Knight’s Talanors Special Treat, this feminine bitch stood out for me, attractive wedge head, small dark eye, shapely body, deep chest, straight front, curvy outline, well turned stifle & very well muscled quarters, moves soundly. Pipped by her litter brother for BP, just felt he had the edge on maturity but what a nice litter, their breeder should be very pleased. Am sure we will hear more of this young lady, very promising;

2 Forshaw’s Janzins Star Struck, bigger rangier bitch, not quite together yet as 1. Feminine head & expression, wedge shaped head. Ears rather unsettled. Deep chest, close fitting hard jacket, in great condition. Needs plenty of time & encouragement to show off her virtues to greater advantage.

JB (2,1)

1 Churms’ Digelsa Dream Maker of Wystry, what a lovely young bitch, full of quality & very pleasing for size & shape. Feminine wedge shaped head, high set ears & small dark almond eye, straight front, deep chest, lovely topline & lay of shoulder, well turned stifle, so sound on the move, very free, looks a picture in her close shiny jacket. Still some maturing to do to complete the picture but very promising in my opinion. RBB.

PGB (2,1)

1 Hemsell’s Tetani Spirit of the Wind, very feminine, good size, pleasing wedge head, small almond eye. Ears a little untidy. Straight front, good tuck-up, presented in close hard jacket which is well marked. I felt her movement, although sound, was a bit restricted behind & she tended to roach her back when moving.

OB (5,1)

1 Oxley’s Ch Digelsa Double Entendre, top quality bitch, super size & very elegant outline, feminine wedge head, well set ears, dark wicked almond eyes, really well laid shoulders, deep chest, curvy outline & presented in superb condition & muscletone, sound as a bell on the move, a truly lovely bitch & looks like she is bred for the job originally intended. This gave me a real headache in the challenge, she complements the dog so well, again a true terrier, just felt that today the dog really put his all in on the move & strode out as if he owned the ring. Very close up. BB;

2 Knight’s Talanors Tomorrows Dreams, I liked this bitch for her size & shape, not quite so feminine in head or expression as 1 & her ears are held perhaps a little high. Similar size to 1, deep chest, well laid shoulders & sound on the move, in lovely coat & fit hard condition. Ran the JB quite close in the challenge for RBB, just losing out head & expression but a good quality bitch;

3 Thurlow’s Brenandi Genteel Gypsy at Erkenwyne.
