Manchester Terriers

Overall coats & temperaments have improved hugely over the last 10 years, however flat toplines & long bodies are creeping in. This really does need to be watched.

PD (1)

1 Charlton’s Digelsa Diamond Geeza at Lizelms, 7 months, up to size, has a lot of maturing to do. Good frame & outline, masculine head, dark eye & used ears, markings good. Moved OK once settled.

JD (4)

1 Eva’s Sophyla Sam Brown, nice size but would have liked more bone & substance. Elegant in outline with a decent front, good length of neck, short coupled, held ears OK, almond eye, moved OK;

2 Olbinson’s Paucelin Andoni, lovely size with substance, in good coat & condition. Has a nice head, eye but ears a little heavy. A bit proud of his tail. Moved OK;

3 Geraghty’s Mojero Bowmore.

PGD (2)

1 S Sam Brown; 2 Marshall’s Janzins Man Of Mystery from Jepejo, in good coat & condition, nicely marked. A little narrow in front. Topline a little too roached. Nice head & ears. Moved OK once settled.

LD (6)

1 Norris’ Brookstream Louis De Blue, up to size, 22 months, still has lots of maturing to do. Masculine head, well held ears, dark eye, markings OK. Too narrow in front, also needs to tighten. Would have liked a deeper brisket. Well handled;

2 Mercers’ Faolan Sirius, lovely size with a correct outline, deep brisket, stifles well bent, smartly marked. Would have liked a stronger head & neater ear. Nice dog;

3 Jeynes’ Browdel Black Musketeer.

OD (6)

1 Morris’ Ch Calastoa Amber Nectar, well up to size but very well balanced. Plenty of bone & substance, correct topline & deep brisket, straight front, good length of neck, well bent stifles. Correct tail carriage all resulting in the best movement of the day. Markings OK, liked his masculine head & strong jaw. CC & BOB;

2 Beardow’s Ch Talanors Hellova Treat for Sipowitiz, showy dog of correct size, very smartly marked, lovely head, dark eye & well held ears, deep brisket, well bent stifles. Hindquarters sloped off a little. Moved & handled very well, well worth his title. RCC.

GCD (1)

1 Jeynes’ Browdel Black Musketeer, smart, elegant dog. Masculine head with neat ears. Would have liked darker eye. Decent topline & good quarters, moved OK.

PB (5)

1 Reeves’ Harkeats Jump For Joy, 9 months, has a lot of maturing to do. Correct size, short coupled with correct topline, held tail correctly, elegant shape with deep brisket, strong quarters with well bent stifles, straight front & good length of neck, feminine head, dark eye & neat ears, one of the best movers of the day. BP;

2 Knight’s Talanors Taylor Made Treat, very smartly marked with a lovely head, dark eye & good ear carriage, plenty of bone. Longer cast in body & a little flat in topline. Moved OK once settled;

3 Palmer’s Egloshayle Lady Morwenna.

JB (2)

1 H Jump For Joy;

2 Dunford’s Paucelin Armana by Quixol, very feminine, lovely head, dark eye & ears, straight front, good length of neck, well bent stifles. Not moving so well behind.

PGB (3)

1 De Lavis-Trafford’s Kimblewick Tallulah with Tyburn, correct size & super in outline, very balanced. Would have liked a bit more of her. Feminine head, dark eye & neat ears, smartly marked, moved really well once settled;

2 Evans’ Coombelane New Beginning, nice type, has plenty of bone, deep brisket, good head, dark eye & used ears. A little long in body & not moving well.

LB (7)

1 Saxton’s Egloshayle Sea Sprite of Rattustrap, size OK, super bone, in the best possible coat & condition, very smartly marked, straight front with a well laid shoulder, quarters OK. Topline a little flat. Really good head & expression, dark eye & well held ears, moved & showed really well. RCC;

2 McIntyre’s Calot Ozara, lovely size & outline, very well balanced, straight front & good length of neck, neat head & ears, well bent stifles, short coupled with correct tail carriage, moved well. Markings a little faded;

3 Palmer’s Egloshayle Sea Lily.

OB (8)

1 Oxley’s Ch Digelsa Double Entendre, judged her before as a puppy & gave a RCC. Has developed into a really good bitch. Nice size, elegant outline, good depth of brisket, well laid shoulders with good length of neck, short coupled with correct topline, tail carriage good, feminine head with dark eye & neat ears, moved & showed very well. CC;

2 Palmer’s Egloshayle Black Rosewyn, elegant & balanced in outline, well made with correct topline & good strong quarters. Markings good but thumb spots need to clear. Would have liked a stronger head. Moved really well;

3 Geraghty’s Tyburn Laodice.

GCB (1)

1 Hammet’s Digelsa Double Take for Bryedal, correct in size, compact & elegant, in super condition. Would have like more of her. Very balanced with feminine head, dark eye & neat ears. Moved well. Breeders. (2) 1 Palmer’s Egloshayle team, all of a type, nice quality & all moved OK;

2 Knight’s Talanors team, again all of super type. Not as uniform as 1, but all have a lot of quality.
