British Manchester Terrier Club Championship show Saturday 10th October 2015

Judge Carol Dunford (Quixol)

No comments on bite or teeth all were correct, or eyes, mostly dark & well shaped, most tan & markings were good, but some very dark with little tan. I concentrated on movement, which needs improvement, my 4 ticket winners & BVIS & RBVIS moved correctly, they also had the long head required, short heads with no depth creeping in, we should all be concentrating on these features when we breed.

Minor Puppy D. (5)

1st Mr N Wildgust The Black Pirateer 8+ mths mature lad, well boned, compact, on the larger side, lovely head prefer a darker eye, great temperament, movement erratic as all in this class, first time out, promising.

2nd Mrs D Church Rattustrap Charlie Brown 6mths smaller size, compact, bone in balance, lean head ears need to settle, first time out movement erratic.

3rd Mrs D Coutts Rattustrap Boris Citrov litter brother to 2nd, very similar , points apply.

Puppy D (3)

1st Mr Mrs Walshaw Talanors Diamonds N Dreams Avec Janmark 11mths BPD & Res BPIS smaller type with enough bone, moved ok, wedge head with super ear set, semi-hare feet, would prefer to see slight forechest & rise over loin.

2nd Adams & Harris Eaglespur Prince Charming 11+mths a larger type movement correct when settled, pleasing head, shapely topline, deep body strong bone should mature well.

3rd Ms Moore Ruffagga Malfoys Mischief 7 mths a big dog whose movement needs to settle, he has enough bone, and body shape needs time to mature.

Junior D. (4)

1st David Ann Hebbs Paucelin Falster 16mths well balanced outline, good length of neck, wedge head, well set ears, good bone & leg length, neat feet, good tail carriage can move wide behind until settled.

2nd Mrs S O`Boyle Paucelin Furet at Ruffagga 16mths good for size & bone & outline with a short tail, moves very well, prefer a more masculine head & darker eye & neater ears.

3rd Stedman and Leigh Mansiya if you Dare 16mths good size , bone and outline, he has a better masculine head than 2nd, moved untidily in front today.

Novice D. (2)

1st Mrs S O`Boyle Paucelin Furet at Ruffagga

2nd Mrs S El-Telbani Srenscem Salazar Slytherin 8mths VHC in MP. small immature lad who needs to gain confidence, has bone in balance, & a short tail, the ears need to settle, at this point his head is not strong enough.

Grad D (4-1)

1st Mr Mrs K Hough Barleydust Harvest Moon 2yrs, close up for the CC, awarded Res CC. classy dog elegant but masculine with a pleasing outline, wedge head of good length and depth of muzzle, ears could set higher, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, forelegs strong set under body, neat feet, firm back outline to slight rise over a strong loin, good angulation of hind legs and well carried tail, well muscled and moved so straight and true.

2nd Hebbs Paucelin Falster

3rd Pletz & Kazantis Paucelin Duster 2yrs smaller type not as compact as above, front movement could be firmer, his head could be more masculine, ear set rather wide.

1st Hebbs Paucelin Falster.

2nd Mr C Gallie Digelsa Double Diamond 2yrs larger strong type with masculine head, ears could be set higher, his body shape is good and he moved well.

3rd Mr Mrs G Brown Talanors Sweet Dreams 2yrs a big strong dog who moves well, but is rather long over the loin, his head is strong with excellent ear set & size.

Limit D. (3)

1st Mr Mrs Harrison`s Magpiebank Ash 2yrs larger type but elegant, he has good bone well muscled, a classic head with a good wedge & depth of muzzle, ears could be neater, he is well balanced & outline is good, was disappointed that today he was not putting all in, his movement not positive.

2nd Rowbottom & Morris Calastoa`s Amber Gambler at Ttombowor 2yrs good for size, tan could be richer and thumbprints fading, his wedge head could be more masculine excellent ear set & size, movement in front a bit erratic today.

3rd Mr Mrs Hemsell Tetani Wizard of Dreams JW Sh CM 6yrs a compact dog with enough bone, a wedge head dark eyes ear set could be better, balanced outline with short tail, not putting all in and could move better.

Open D (7-2)

Excellent class

1st Norris`s Ch Brookstream Louis de Blue rising 6 yrs my CC, BOS & Res BIS I gave this dog a CC some years ago & to me he takes some beating, he is a classy dog with a long lean classic wedge head with depth of muzzle, perfect set ear, his movement is straight & true, enough bone with legs set under, neat feet, deep chest, shapely hindquarters firm mucsles – he just faded a bit in the challenge for BIS

2nd Mrs Saville`s Ch Calastoa`s Man in the Mirror of Dobermatian ShCM 4yrs a more correct size with good bone, not such a long head as above, has good ear set, balanced outline, just moving a tad wide in front today, a worthy champion,

3rd Mr Mrs Knight 3+yrs Ch Westbank Blue Diamond for Talanors correct size with bone, good wedge head with depth of muzzle, neat ears, today his topline was not so firm,& front movement a little untidy.

Minor Puppy B (11-3)

a difficult class with so many first time pups,

1st Mrs D Barlow Nightfury Bold Venture 7+mths BPB & BPIS a confident outgoing pup who moves true, she is a neat bitch with plenty of bone for size, topline is a little flat & she is gay with her tail, front is good, head is feminine with well set & carried ears, beat the dog pup on balanced outline & movement.

2nd Williams Rollsbrook Summer`s Titania 7mths a pleasing pup compact with good length of neck into balanced body, her head is promising with good ear set, enough bone, neat feet, she moved well.

3rd Ms W Heller Limoncella Cecilia Beaux 8+mths another pleasing pup with plenty to like well balanced, good length of neck, neat outline, moved ok.

Puppy B (8-4)

3rd Mrs V Sharpe Rosettia High Hopes 11mths a larger type with bone, firm topline, correct long head, ears well set need to settle, firm topline good tail carriage, today was moving untidily.

1st Mr Mrs Standring Paucelin Evelyn 2yrs good size and balanced outline with correct tail set, long head good ear set, good reach of neck into well set shoulders so moves well, deep chest, good leg to body length, would trouble the best if a bit more animated.

Grad B (4)

1st Mr Mrs Palmer Egloshayle Queen of the May 1+yrs a good type correct size with balanced outline , good length wedge head with well set ears , well boned, good leg to body ratio, deep chest, tuck up, hindqutrs strong & well bent stifle, moved well, when mature & settled should do well.

2nd Mrs D Barlow Nightfury Bold Venture

3rd Mrs Reeve Harkeats Lady Latoyah 4yrs a taller racier bitch with a good reach of neck, long head, tan fading, long stride when she moves.

Post Grad (7)

1st Mr Mrs Standring Paucelin Anna 5yrs another good one, cut up dropped from pups, good balanced outline, lovely long head, good reach of neck, deep chest firm loin good tail set, leg to body ratio good, moved ok.

2nd Saxton Bovill & Dale Rattustrap Maid Marian 2yrs very close decision just preferred head of 1st, same applies as above , she moved well.

3rd Mr Mrs Hemsell Tetani Lux Mundi 2yrs compact bitch with bone, good head and eye, ears not used today, and she moved well when she wanted.

very good class,

1st Mr Mrs Symington Talanors Secret Treat 2+yrs, my CC & BIS winner, she is top size, moved straight & true, good length of head with depth, well set ears, good bone and leg to body ratio, well balanced topline with cut up, strong hindquarters, good tail set, well muscled, looked the part today, I hope she gets her 3rd CC.

2nd Mrs Saville Querceti Isadora for Dobermatian ShCM 2+rs a compact bitch with bone, good body shape, pleasing head could be a bit longer, moved well, but a little wide in front today.

3rd Ms Wicker Mimbre Bombette 23 mths a bigger rangier type, she has a super long head, ears could be neater, good length of neck into well set shoulders, good cut up, well bent muscled hindquarters, moved a bit close behind today.

Open B (8-2)

an excellent class,

1st Mr Mrs Palmer Ch Egloshayle Sea Lily 5+yrs Res CC winner, a correct sized compact bitch with enough bone, well balanced body & outline, good cut up, lovely feminine head, small well set ears, well set shoulders good leg to body ration, reachy neck moved the best in this class, in the challenge just faded a bit, a worthy champion.

2nd Mr Mrs Knight Ch Talanors Taylor Made Treat 4yrs + lovely classy bitch, correct size, good outline and cut up, well balanced, lovely head, another good champion, just a bit untidy in front movement today.

3rd Saxton Dale & Emrick Rattustrap Imperial Red JW 1+yr bigger bitch than above, classic head, well set ears, good body shape but long in loin, moving untidily today.

Spec Veteran 7-9 yrs (6)

1st Mr Mrs J Goodwin D. Ch Digelsa Dionysis 7 +Yrs & BVIS, a lovely dog - good for size & bone, well balanced outline, classy wedge head with length, ears set well, in fit condition & moved out straight & true with correct tail carriage

.2nd Mrs Reeve B. 9+ yrs Mimbre Kazamia at Harkeats neat, compact enough bone, balanced head with good small ear set and carriage, balanced outline with a short tail, gone grey but muscle tone is good, looked fit and healthy.

3rd Mr Mrs Forshaw Gloryline Lady Jane Grey 9yrs a rangier bitch of good type with long lean head and neat ears well held, enough bone and good balanced outline, today she was a bit erratic moving.

Spec Vet. 10+yrs (6-1)

1st Mr Mrs Palmer B Ch Egloshayle Black Samphire 12yrs RBVIS -still holds herself like a champion, good size with bone, classic outline with cutup, good length head with ears well set, moves straight & true.

2nd Fitch & Reeve D Westwytch Calico Cadaeu 11yrs fit and healthy moves sprightly, balanced outline with bone, long lean head, good length of neck, lost out on depth of chest.

3rd Ms Hart B Diglesa Deep Purple at Terriz 10+yrs smaller type compact outline in excellent condition, still moves well, feminine head.
