British Manchester Terrier Open Show - 27/02/16 BD BIS: Harrisons Magpiebank Ash SV 7-9 years (2) 1 Goodwins Ch Digelsa Dionysis. A smart terrier, good for bone and balance. Good wedge shaped head from front and side with depth of muzzle. Correct body depth to leg length with legs set on well underneath giving desired glimpse of fore chest. Elegant flowing lines from tip to tail showing correct length of neck and chest. Good bend of stifle. RDCC. 2 Hemsells Tetani Spirit Vision. Feminine head with nice neck, crest, shoulder and glimpse of fore chest. Semi hare footed with well arched toes. Coat in great condition, with markings age appropriate. Not quite as much rear angulation as winner, and did not move out as well. SV 10+ years (1) 1 Fitch and Reeves Westwythch Calico Cadeau. A very sporting and elegant looking terrier impressed with correct fairly long and tapering neck. Clean well sloped shoulder, excellent tuck up.Tan, markings and movement all age appropriate. PD (5) 1 Holmes Egloshayle Black Dylan. This young dog caught my eye, he is in proportion and well balanced, has plenty of bone but still has the elegant flowing out line that is key to a good Manchester. Very attractive wedge shaped head, with good depth of muzzle, used ears well to give a keen alert expression. Needs to be moved out at a pace that is comfortable to the dog. BP. 2 Birchdale and Harrisons Uuterby Green Toffee Snap. Another young dog to watch out for. Nicely balanced, good for bone and elegance, nice head but ears need to settle. Very good rear angulation and thigh with bee sting tale. 3 Churchs Rattustrap Charlie Brown. JD (5) 1 Sharples Taloners Tailored Diamond. A nicely balanced dog with plenty of bone. Good body depth to leg length ratio with nice rise over loin. Ears neat and carried well. 2 Walshaws Taloners Diamonds N'Dreams. Expertly handled, masculine dog with plenty of bone. Pin bones showing which spoilt top line and would prefer more elegance from the neck. Not as much fore chest as winner. 3 Adams Harris Eaglespur Prince Charming. BD (2) 1 Westwytch Duke of Earl. Movement was the deciding factor. Nice length and depth of muzzle but ears a little unsettled. Nice depth of thigh and good bend of stifle. 2 O'Boyles Paucelin Furet at Ruffagga. Would prefer ears to be carried a little higher to give alert expression. Nice front, forelegs and clean shoulder. MD (1) 1 Wagstaffs Westwytch Duke of Earl. GD (3) 1 Turners Harkens Lord Likely. A nicely balanced dog with plenty of bone and substance. Nice rise over the loin, with strong muscular hind quarters. Movement straight and free. Masculine head with depth of muzzle, would prefer a little more expression from use of ears. 2 Dohertys Malskred Kaspario Balaq. Not as masculine as winner but has nice length of neck and an elegant top line. 3 Steadman and Leigh Mansiya If You Dare. PG (2) 1 Hebbs Paucelin Falster. Nice to see a dog that is good for bone and balance, and maintains the sporting elegance of an MT. Flowed round the ring effortlessly. 2 Dohertys Malskred Kaspario Balaq. LD (5) 1 Browns Talanors Sweet Dreams. A sporting looking terrier with plenty of bone. Attractive wedge shaped head from front and side. Alert expression, neat ears carried well. Tapering neck and nice crest. Good tan and markings. 2 Willis's Talanors Super Treat. Good for bone, glimpse of fore chest, nice body depth to leg length. Slight rise over loin, not quite as elegant as winner. 3 Steadmans Mansiya Dare To Be Different AW(B) OD (5) 1 Harrisons Magpiebank Ash. Moved out effortlessly with reach and drive. Compact, elegant, sound with substance. Good wedge from front and side with depth of muzzle and wicked sparkling eye. Elegant neck, crest with rise over loin. Tail carried well. Glimpse of fore chest, clean shoulder, good body depth to leg length. Hindquarters strong, muscular with good bend of stifle. BIS. 2 Fergusons Ch Felfree Rocket SHCM. Handled and moved well , straight free and balanced. Good wedge shaped head. Elegant neck and crest. Clean shoulders and forelegs set on well under the body. Slight rise over the loin, with good bend of stifle. 3 Carter and Harrisons Ch Digelsa Declaration. MPB (2) 1 Oxleys Digelsa D'Amour. Put in a very confident performance and moved out well. Beautiful head and depth of muzzle with keen and alert expression. Elegant neck and crest forequarters and hindquarters put together well. Look forward to seeing her again when she has finished filling her frame. 2 O'Boyles Ruffagga Miss Francis. A little overwhelmed, so treated the day as a training session. PB (5) 1 Moores Rattustrap War Dance to Zalan. Put in a good performance and moved out well. Carried her tail beautifully. A nicely balanced bitch with plenty of bone and elegant flowing lines from tip to tail. Definitely one to watch. 2 Harrisons Ruffagga Poison Ivy. Good for bone, nice length of neck, good body depth to leg length, nice tan, good thumbprints, carried tail well. Ears a little erratic. JB (3) 1 Sharpes Rosettia High Hopes. Good for bone and balance very much together, correct tapering neck, crest and rise over loin giving the desired elegant look of an MT. 2 Forshaws Nightfury Bold Venture. Bit of a fidget, a slightly smaller type but very much in proportion. Ears carried well, beautiful neck and shoulder placement, well sprung ribs. 3 Harrisons Ruffagga Poison Ivy. BB (2) 1 Moores Rattustrap War Dance to Zalan. 2 Williams Rollsbrook Summers Titania. An elegant and sporting looking terrier. Need to be moved out at the correct pace, and needs to be stood with a leg at each corner so that you do not over exaggerate the top line. Good wedge and depth of muzzle, used ears well, correct tapering neck, crest and carried tail well. MB (2) 1 Moores Rattustrap War Dance to Zalan. 2 Williams Rollsbrook Summers Titania. NB (1) 1 Moores Rattustrap War Dance to Zalan. GB (4) 1 Sharpes Rosettia High Hopes. 2 Forshaws Nightfury Bold Venture. 3 Savilles Egloshayle Northern Lass to Dobermatian. PGB (3) 1 Smiths Ticknall Miss Caruso. Carrying a little bit of weight which made her shoulder appear heavy spoiling the elegant line. She is good for bone and balance, nice depth of thigh and bend of stifle. 2 Sharpes Rosettia Ruby Reflection. Handled with style, a slightly smaller type with slightly less length of neck than winner. 3 Hemsells Tatani Lux Mundi. LB (4) 1 Wickers Mimbre Bombette. Sporting and elegant, really fit and in good order. Moved out effortlessly with reach and drive. Good for bone, nice glimpse of fore chest, clean shoulders, straight front, good depth of thigh and rear angulation. Elegant top line. RB. 2 Forshaws Calastoas Lucky Star. Nice bitch,not quire as much drive from behind as winner. Good for bone and balance, nice wedge shape head with depth of muzzle. Lovely expression from ears. Elegant top line, straight front, good depth of thigh and rear angulation. 3 Smiths Ticknall Miss Caruso. OB (5) 1 Saxton, Dale and Emricks Ch Rattustrap Imperial Red. Judged her at 6 months old and gave her RB. It is very satisfying to see her fulfilling all that early promise. Compact elegant, sound with substance. Wedge shaped head, depth of muzzle, expression from ears. Elegance from tapering neck crest and rise over loin. Straight front and glimpse of fore chest, depth of thigh and good rear angulation. BB. 2 Saxton Dales Ch/ Fi /EE. Rattustrap Top Totty. A very flashy terrier who put in an excellent performance. Similar comment to 1 but preferred the substance and the glimpse of fore chest on the winner. 3 Simmingtons Talanors Secret Treat. Jun Hand 12-16 1 Laura Sharpe. Excellent young handler, very efficient and in tune with her charge. Shadowed with ease which gave her the edge over competition. 2 Peter Sharples. Another very competent young man, who handled his charge with empathy. Would benefit from some shadowing training. Keep up the good work. Claire Akrigg |
