LAKELAND SOUTHERN COUNTIES 15 Judge(s): MRS ZENA THORN-ANDREWS Lakeland Terriers PD (0). JD (1) 1 Barnes’ Robelroy Robin, coat needs to harden right through. Quite promising for size, quarters, topline & general demeanour. Not ready for high honours as yet but quite a promising youngster. PGD & LD (0). OD (2,1a) 1 Schoneberg’s Paperman Gold Finger, smart dog, muzzle plenty long enough & ears set a touch too high. Good pigment, well set eyes, fair front, excellent bone & neat feet, good behind & tail well up. Good coat texture. Still can strengthen in topline but he holds it better on the move than standing. Happy to award him the CC. V (1) 1 Burgoine & Woodward’s Aaronsway Sungleam, lovely topline & body for 10½. OK on the move. High set ears detract & his coat is poor unfortunately. Tail set a little low, otherwise a pleasing type & size. PB (1) 1 CC, BP & BOB, Ryan’s Laketrix Fire Craker, liked this puppy very much indeed. Her head is of good shape & not too long in muzzle. Compact body, neat front & she has some forechest. Topline can still strengthen. Well set tail & good behind for age. Coat just coming in & of good harsh texture. Should be a future star. JB (0). PGB (3,2) 1 Burgoine & Woodward’s Ralphina Shine On Me, good size & proportions of height to length. Lovely head & eye shape, well set & carried ears, just breaking the top of her flat skull. OK in front, nicely bodied but coat could do with better trimming. Moved out precisely. LB (2) 1 RCC, Davani’s Kebulak Trickery, lovely feminine bitch of good size & bone for size. Eyes a touch too round. Neat ears, carried OK. Rather too narrow between the forelegs & tied in at the elbows. Deep enough. Needs to strengthen in topline. Excellent rear & tailset. Beautifully presented & she moved out well & bouncily; 2 Burgoine & Woodward’s Jelliroll Lady Lucinda, heavier, bigger bitch, too wide across the front & moved wide coming towards. OK in head & lovely dark sparkling eyes. Strong neck, excellent topline & OK in quarters. Presentation could be better. OB (2) 1 Schoneberg’s Meith’s Tenny, pleasing head & pigment. Ears set a little high & could be carried closer to cheeks. OK in front & she is a very true mover front & rear. Topline should be firmer & she rises up over the loin. Well bent stifles a decent coat; 2 Burgoine & Woodward’s Lady Jelliroll Mercedes, bigger girl, a bit overweight at the moment. Lovely head & eyes. Ears set well but should be carried close to cheeks. Rather upright in shoulder. Good body, short loin. Needs more angulation in rear & tail could be set higher. Shows well & moves true. ZENA THORN-ANDREWS |
