MLTC Ch 21 Judge

MIDLAND LAKELAND TERRIER CLUB
CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 16/10/21

I remember being one of the original members of the MLTC many years ago and I did judge a MLTC open show in 1988.  Now, in 2021 I had the honour of being asked to judge the Championship Show.  My thanks to the Committee for a lovely day, also thank you to my very efficient steward.  This was the first dog show I’ve attended in over two years so mostly new dogs and especially new exhibitors to the breed, lovely to see.

VD/B (1) 

1.  Mrs and Ms Mathias River Spirit of Dapperdax,  Nice type, in good order, moved well.

PD. (3 1) 

1.  Mr and Mrs Connell and Mrs Wilberg  Sonorra Spellbreaker  Very raw pup, just 6 months and 1 day old.  Such beautiful well set ears, nice head, great topline, short back.  Moved well for his first show.  2  Mackin  Zavetnaya Mechta Centurion  Red dog, in super coat.  Lots to like about him, just preferred the head and ears of the winner.

JD  (1) 

1  Messrs Anderson and Watt  Nisyros Rough and Ready  Classy type, I really liked everything about him. Good head and ears, great topline.  Just needs to mature for major honours.

PGD  (2  0) 

1  Clayton  Nisyros Cappuccino   Cobby red in great coat.  A bit slack in front movement but pleasing outline.  Well presented.

LD (2) 

1  Messrs Anderson and Watt.  Nisyros Somersby  Neat dog, nice set ears and good expression.  Good length of neck and short back, in hard coat.  Great mover, front and back.  Dog CC, Reserve BIS 

2  River Spirit of Dapperdax

OD (1) 

1  Messrs Averis and Barker.  Saredon Connoisseur  Nice head,  Good front, topline and set on.  Not happy with the floor surface today.  Res Dog CC

PB (2) 

1  Mr Mackin.  Zavetnaya Mechta X-Tasy  Elegant bitch, nice head and well set ears.  Long neck, great set on and hind quarters.  Well presented.  Res Bitch CC and Best Puppy in Show 

2  Messrs Whitehead, Graham and Thorpe.  Standstead Hakuna Matata  Cobbier type than the winner.  Shorter in neck.  Moved well, great hind action.

JB (1)  1  Messrs Clayton  Sunnily Tenacious Piper at Northdrum  In good coat, could be shorter backed.  Very good hind movement.

NB (2 1)  1  Mr Lockwood  Saredon Just Like Heaven  Nice head and ears.  Plenty of neck.  Well presented in good coat.  Could do with more bend of stifle

PGB (2)

1  Messrs Connell  Sonorra Magical Flame  Short backed, cobby type.  Good set on.  Well presented and good hind movement. 

2  Mr Gibson  Dapperdax Holly  Longer cast than the winner.  Nicely presented.  Growled at me on the table, sounded like she meant it.

LB (4 1) 

1  Mrs Ryan  Laketrix Jazz Hands  Nice head with well set ears, wicked expression.  Nice front and good outline, strong hind quarters.  Presented in tip top order and she moved with great drive, showed herself the whole time.  Bitch CC and Best in Show 

2  Messrs Mathias  Amadayus Pandora of Dapperdax  Nice type, slightly shorter in neck than the winner.  Moved well.
