LAKELAND JUDGE BORDER UNION 11

LAKELAND TERRIER

First let me say that I was delighted to judge Lakelands at Border Union show. Although in today's present climate the numbers are getting significantly lower, due to various reasons, but the exhibits shown were of a decent standard.

PD(1)

1 Johnston's Origill Jack Sparrow. Nice overall compact specimen, good coat, correct bite, nice tailset, round compact feet, a very nice puppy, can only get better. Best PD and Res DCC.

OD(3, 2)

1 Schoneberg's Nujax Rising Sun At Saredon. Shown in good coat, put down well, tail on top, well formed ears, nice shoulder placement, would like a little shorter coupled, moved fore and aft, kept level topline when on the move. DCC.

PB(1)

1 Steemson's Brocolitia Red Hot Diva. Quite a nice compact little bitch, clean skull, well placed ears, quite a good tailset, moved ok, this bitch requires a little more substance, would alter the whole appearance. A lot to like.

JB(2)

1 Johnston's Oregil Celtic Rose. Again a good quality bitch from this kennel, in good coat, could be a little harsher, clean skull, well placed ears, good shoulder placement, tail on top, nice bend of stifle, moved and covered the ground well. Deserved Res CC. BP.

2 Anderson's Corrivackie Opal. A shame to meet the first, a really nice Lakeland put down well compacted, clean skull, well placed ears, good bend of stifle, correct shoulder placement, moved well, would like to see her in 12 months time, can only get better.

LB(2)

1 Johnston's Origill In The Buff. The best bitch by far and one of the best I have seen from this kennel, put down to the minute, good harsh coat, clean skull, ear placement spot on, good layback of shoulder, nice bend of stifle and second thigh, low hocks, covered the ground well, nice full gait and kept level topline when on the move, nothing else but finally to say, a quality bitch. Deservedly BCC and BOB, also led to believe she acquired Group 2 Terrier. Well done.

2 Corrivackie Opal.
