KERRY BLUE JUDGE PAIGNTON 15
It's been a number of years since I judged the breed at this level and am sorry to say that if this was a typical representation, there has been a marked decline in quality. Withholding awards is not something I do lightly and in a numerically small entry it certainly makes you think. Perhaps people think "Sure it's only a reserve CC" but have they ever considered what is written on it or how they would feel should their CC winner be disqualified?
Thankfully, the bitch classes were much stronger but there could be some tough times ahead if we have lost the upstanding stud dogs.

1st: 1448 GALLETT Mrs A J E Lakki Kerri Vero Cavaliere (Imp)
At that awkward in-between stage where his body still lacks maturity and his coat Is changing. Nice enough head on him but he could have used his ears to better advantage to display more typical expression. Well off for body but just lacking a bit of depth for my taste. Good tailset. Moved soundly. Correct coat texture and colour coming. Reserve BD.

1st: 1445 DAVANI Ms C Kebulak Lady Killer
Upstanding dog of good proportions. Good head and expression. Neck transitions well into strong top line with good tailset. Nice depth of chest and well ribbed. Coat and colour acceptable. He has a real notion of himself, never stopped showing and although he could have handled his front better at times, his other virtues outweighed this. I thought he was good value for the CC.
2nd: 1454 PINFOLD Mr F & Mrs J Cyres Licenced To Thrill
This is not a bad type of a male however he almost goes out of his way to do himself an injustice. His movement was erratic and he refused to co-operate and use his ears and had to pay the price. Well off for body with good coat and colour.

Two lovely girls in this class
1st: 1452 MUNRO Ms P & Master A Arkama Guilty Pleasure
She took my eye the moment she stepped into the ring. Really loves herself and rightly so. Has the most beautiful head and expression. Ears well set and a naughty look in her eye. Well off for body at this stage, good spring to her rib and compact. Typical coat. Moved well with some style and very capably handled by her young handler. I really liked her.
2nd: 1453 O'ROURKE Mr & Mrs D & J Kebulak Hell Hath No Fury
At 6 months and a week she was giving lots away. Raw, but there is potential. Good head and expression. Decent neck into well placed shoulders. Nice little body on her. Showed well and seemed to be enjoying her day out.
Class 367 JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1455 PINFOLD Mr F & Mrs J Atlanta Blue Cherie Etoile
This girl is quite a little pistol. Nice for type and style. Pretty head with good eye. But erratic with her ears but used enough to see her expression. Short body with a decent tailset. Good rear angular ion and moved well when settled.
Class 368 PGB (3 Entries) Abs: 1
Two very different styles in this class.
1st: 1456 POTTS Mr A R Kebulak Heart Breaker
Super petite bitch. Pretty head with good expression. Nice neck and good shoulder placement. Short body of good quality. Typical coat and colour. Moved soundly and carried herself with a bit of style. Just wish there was more of her.
2nd: 1449 HOUGHTON, Mr C & STONE Mr C Kebulak Full On Gorgeous
Bigger girl all over. Decent head. Well off for body. Persisted on pacing round the ring which is frustrating for both handler and judge.
Class 369 LB (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 1459 WALTERS Ms C Kebulak Dominatrix at Kamaghan
Compact bitch with great neck and shoulders. Presented in good order and showed well. Nice headpiece although she is a touch light in eye but this is minor in my book. Moved soundly.
2nd: 1442 CARSON Mrs S A Kebulak Miss Sixty
Top size girl. Beautifully presented and she has some style about her. Good head and expression. Good neck into firm top line. Naughty on the move which made it difficult to assess but seen enough to determine soundness.
3rd: 1451 JONES Miss J E Arkama Harmony Miss D'arcy
Class 370 OB (4 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 1447 DAVIES Mr P R Ch Millsblu Living The Dream At Perrisblu
In full bloom. Super headpiece with good ear placement. Correct neck and shoulder and firm body. Has depth and well sprung ribs. Presented in lovely condition although I find her trim somewhat deceptive. When you put your hands on her you really appreciate her and she comes into her own on the move where she outclassed all the opposition. CC and BOB. Pleased she went on to win the group.
2nd: 1458 TASSELLI Mr R Balboa Show Time
Stylish girl with a classy head and correct expression. Good neck into well placed shoulders. Short body with a decent tailset. Presented in excellent condition. Perhaps not quite the front extension of 1 but sound in all directions. Res CC.
