KERRY BLUE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 25

My thanks to everyone who was kind enough to enter their dogs for me. It’s an honour to judge at any show, but for terrier people, National Terrier is a special one. Thanks to the committee for inviting me and for providing my two excellent stewards.

Special Beginners

1.Leendert’s Joalyn Royale Joey. Male 23 months. Lovely silky coat with colour coming. Nicely balanced dog with correct bite, good head. Steady on the move with good set on and tail carriage.

2. Walker’s Big Time Rascal. Male 8 months. Nice pup with a lovely head and expression with great ears. Good neckline and moves soundly. Good set on but tail carriage could be better. 3.Ashmore’s Kentwone Sapphire

Vet 1.

J ones Joalyn Sweet Melody. Bitch 8 years old. She has a lovely coat and colour. Moves well, mouth ok for age. Tail set Ok. Showing well and enjoying her day. Best Veteran.

MPD 1.Walker’s Big Time Rascal

1.O’Rourke’s Kebulak Silver Dollar. 11 months old pup with a lovely head and expression with correct ear carriage. Good outline with good reach of neck. Lovely silky coat. Well off for bone, tail carriage and movement ok. BPIB.

2.Walker’s Big Time Rascal – Lost out on maturity.

1.Dack’s Gaelgorm Leap Into The Dark. 13 months. Beautiful coat and colour for age. Sound away with good side gait. Good neck and shoulders, dark eye with good expression. Good quarters, tail set ok but carriage could be better.

1.Bagworth & Connor’s Brocairegorm Clover Blue Moon 19 months. Top sized but has a lovely outline and maintains his shape on the move. Soft and silky coat with plenty of colour coming. Good reachy neck and shoulders, good tail carriage. A little strong in head. Free and powerful mover.

2. Leendert’s Joalyn Royale Joey.

1.O’Rourke’s Kebulak Royal Flush. 2 years old. Dark blue, soft and silky coat with colour coming. Great ears which he used all the time to create correct expression. Compact muscular body, good hind angulation and good hindquarters. Moves well, tail set and carriage good. Nicely balanced dog well presented. RCC

1.Somer’s Ch Catachgorm Checkmate By Dogazza. Mature, upstanding male. Long, lean head with good terrier expression. Correct coat and colour, level topline with excellent tail carriage. This dog has a good neck and hindquarters and is steady and sound on the move. DCC

2.Davani & Potts’ Kebulak That’s A Wrap.19 months. Compact male with a soft and silky coat with colour coming. Pleasing outline with good neckline. Moved ok. Good ears and expression, would prefer a slightly longer head.

3.McGarry’s Balboa Giramondo.

1.Dearden’s Lemracdream Dido of Edenworth. Lovely feminine head and expression, good ear carriage. Well made with good neckline, topline and good tail set and carriage. Dark blue, silky coat with colour coming. Moves soundly.

2.Jones & Bradley’s Joalyn Parsley Moon. Lovely soft and silky coat with plenty of colour. Lean head, decent ears. Preferred the movement on 1.

3.McFadden’s Kebulak Velvet Rose At Kefoxini

1.Santiago’s Arterriers The Emerald Isle. Very attractive bitch, lovely head and neck, neat ears and good expression, compact and muscular body, great tail set and backend with good hind angulation. Beautiful silky coat of great colour. Moves well. RCC

2.Baxter’s Croftsblu The Nipper. Good silky coat and colour. Decent head with correct bite , dark eyes and good ears. She would not cooperate with her handler (we’ve all been there!) which made it difficult to assess her movement on this occasion.

3. Ashmore’s Kentwone Sapphire

Two good bitches in this class.

1.Pinfold’s Ch Cyres Nancy Drew. Well made bitch with strong head and punishing jaw. Good ear carriage. Lovely outline with good neck and shoulders. Good, well-developed hindquarters with correct tail set and carriage. Good coat with plenty of colour still clearing. Moves soundly with purpose. CC and BOB and pleased to see her shortlisted in a strong group.

2.Davani & Potts’ Ch Kebulak Killer Queen. Pretty bitch from this very consistent kennel. Neat head with good ears and pleasing expression. Lovely compact outline with good neck. Good tail set and carriage. Silky coat with good colour. Good steady mover. Well presented.
