KERRYBLUE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 23

SBD/B (2,1)

1 McGarry’s Balboa Giramondo. Young male and very impressive type. He is short and compact, his topline is good as is his tailset. He has a good neck and shoulder, his coat is a good colour and good texture too. His head is balanced and with a nice expression, he could use his ears better. BSB & BSBIS.

JD (1)

1 Davani & Potts’ Kebulak King of Swing 14mths old and still quite dark but of plenty of time for changing. I wouldn’t want him any taller but l would imagine at this age he has stopped. Still a little rangy buy on the stack he creates a nice picture. As always beautifully presented.

PGD (2)

1 McGarry’s Balboa Giramondo.

2 Daly’s Commache Star. A 20mth old male and still rather dark. Doesnt have the outline of 1, being a little longer in back and not helped by not carrying his tail higher. He has a very long head and with a nice pair of ears that he always uses. On the move though he was very erratic and never really settled. Maybe the noise affected him, l know it did some in another breeds.

OD (2)

1 Caltabiano & Tasselli’s Balboa Leonida. The only dog here today that l had previously judged. He is an Italian import and l judged him just before Christmas in Italy that day and he was my BOB and he won the group. Great headed dog and always gives of his best, hes not the biggest of dogs but I’m not saying he is too small either. He is nicely balanced, very sound and stead on the move. Would just like to carry a little more coat bit what he has is of a nice colour and texture Well deserving of the dog CC.

2 Somers’ Catachgorm Checkmate by Dogazza A very different type to my winner, being quite a bit taller but he is well balanced. He has a good neck and shoulder, his topline and tailset are good, he was in lovely body condition. His front is straight standing. His head is long and clean in backskull, but his ears are little too high for me. He moves quite well in profile but not quite as positive as the winner. Res CC.

PB (2,1)

1 Wilkinson’s Cyane River At Cranmoss. A very raw puppy and in fact the only puppy today. Very feminine in head and expression, nice small ears, her front is straight. She has a good topline. Coat is still dark as you would expect at this age but of a good texture. Really just needs a bit more time.

JB (4,1)

1 Walker’s Jun Ch Glenachall Nudge The Judge (IKC) A very stylish bitch of a nice size and type. Her head is long and clean and well placed ears. Good front standing. She has a good topline and tailset and is nicely angulated. looks well moving in profile but a bit loose in front at present.

2 Baxter & Baxter’s Croftsblu The Nipper On the day this young bitch was a real handful for her owner and so was hard to evaluate. Not quite a compact as my winner. Her head was long and clean, her front was straight with good bone. Hopefully she will get out of her naughtiness, but shes young and maybe just a stage she is at.

PGB (1)

1 O’rourke, & O’rourke’s Kebulak Blueberry Muffin. Quite a small bitch but very feminine, she is short and compact with a good neck and shoulder and really quite nice to go over. But she is very dark for her age and hoping it changes fairly soon. She moves out well and was superbly presented.

LB (1)

1 Walker’s Avalanche Eire- Kerry Ivanka Lynnsto (Imp Rus) A nicely presented silver bitch. Looked the part standing and was nice to go over. Good in neck and shoulder, well ribbed, good topline and tail set. Went round the ring with some style but could have been sounder in front coming towards me.

OB (2)

1 Martin’s Clanciarrai Aria. This quite a lovely bitch, very typically Kerry blue. She is a nice size and overall balance is very good. Her head is long and clean and very feminine in expression. her front is straight. Long neck and clean shoulders, her topline is good both standing and on the moved. She was in great coat and so well presented. Pleased to her the CC & BOB.

2 Davani & Potts’ Kebulak Blue Velvet. A nice bitch who is a little taller than 1 and a little darker. Nice in head and expression. Good reach of neck, excellent topline and tailset. Again really nicely presented but not as good in front as I and moving in profile would like a bit more reach. Res CC
