Kerry Blue Terriers

As a non-breed specialist I thank you all for exhibiting & found it a most interesting & enjoyable experience. I found quite a variety in coats many being a little woolly & though these are easier to trim they do not give that lovely sheen that comes with the true silky type coat. Temperaments were excellent, in the upper classes I would have liked to see more assertiveness in demeanour. Moving at the right speed for your dog needs consideration.

PD (2)

1 BP, Clarke-O’Neill’s Lemracdream Raphael, 6 months old, very outgoing in nature. A shade heavy in skull at the moment, good strong muzzle, nice eye, excellent pigmentation. Decent reach of neck, well laid shoulders with good return. Goods legs & feet, well sprung deep rib, short coupled, good tailset with plenty behind. Well angulated quarters. Lovely coat. Moved true out & back with plenty of reach & drive in profile, keeping a good shape;

2 Davani’s Kebulak Adonis, preferred head to 1, good length, clean skull, good eye, pleasing ear carriage. Shoulders not so good as winner, enough spring of rib, a shade long in couplings at the moment. Good topline & tailset. Moved true out & back but a little unsettled.

JD (3,1a)

1 Carter’s Kebulak French Connection, long, lean head, strong muzzle, good eye & ear. Clean reachy neck into well laid shoulders, good spring of rib carried well back, short coupled. Firm topline, good tailset well angulated quarters. Moved with drive just need to settle in front;

2 Easton’s Kebulak Heart Of Stone with Widdershins, would prefer more length to head properties, muzzle a shade weak. Good bite. Reasonable reach of neck into well laid shoulder. Good tailset & moved well.

PGD (1)

1 Rathbone’s Kebulak Blue Demon in Qaraqui, skull a shade thick, good strong muzzle. Nice eye & ear. Good spring of rib though loin a little weak. Good legs & feet. Would prefer more angulation front & rear. Steady mover.

1 Earle & Kelly’s Miculadh Edge Of Glory at Dollagh, pleasing head properties with clean skull, strong muzzle. Nice eye, good pigment, good ear carriage. Clean well laid shoulder with return, well sprung deep rib, short coupled. Strong topline, good tailset. Very balanced dog, true mover would like to see him moved at a quicker pace to show drive & extension.

OD (3)

1 CC & BOB, Clarke-O’Neill’s Ch Ir Ch Lemracdream The Navigator, pleasing head properties, clean skull, strong muzzle, good eye, bite, neat ears well used.
