IRISH WELKS 24 Judge: Mrs Jill Looker It was a pleasure to accept an invitation from this friendly society, held in such a stunning setting. Thank you to my stewards who kept the ring running so smoothly. All dogs had clean feet and correct dentition. Pasterns have improved significantly since dewclaws have been left intact. A lovely entry with some top quality exhibits. VD 0 MPD 0 PD 1 1st Bradley's Montelle Flash Light , Eye catching puppy who showed himself to good advantage giving a very pleasing outline, lovely head, eye and ear placement, strong neck well laid shoulder,clean front, well boned limbs, tidy feet, good rib, correct tailset and carriage, strong hindquarters,pleasing turn of stifle, short hocks, harsh coat. Moved very well. Very promising.Best Puppy and Res CC JD 2 1st Anderson's Kerrykeel Damhnaic, Impressive dog looking very much the part , Good length of head, keen expression neat ears a lovely type and grand character, movement unsettled today. YD 1 1st Ruffles Holbam Midsummer Knight at Ruffmar A lot to like about him, maturing well and settling into his frame, rather likes his own way and not the easiest to handle, but he can make the most of himself and when he does he draws the eye , a nice type. PG D 0 LD 1. 1st Oliver's Rufous Gubbeen of Cleeve Smart male with a balanced racy outline good length of head tho ears detract a little , straight limbs, lovely hindquarters with plenty behind well set tail, great coat and furnishings, well handled. OD (2 1) 1st Schmidt's Ch/Int/Ger/Lux/Fr Ch Royal Rubys Made of Fire, A privilege to go over this dog, for me he is the embodiment of the breed standard with no part drawing the eye from the whole picture, masculine balanced head of good length, typical Irish expression.Neck shoulder back loin, and croup running in smoothly to a well set tail and balanced quarters, clean front, straight well boned limbs, beautifully trimmed coat and furnishings, well toned body, his movement didn't disappoint- straight and powerful he owned the ring, an truly great example of the breed Dog CC and Best of Breed Terrier Group 4 VB 2. 1st Nolcini's Holbam Celtic Kate Lovely size and really shows herself off with classic head carriage strong neck, racy body sound quarters, straight coat of good texture, keeping her topline on the move. At almost 12 she is in very good shape. Best Veteran MPB 0 PB 2 1st Gummow's Pinleygreen Irish Star for Montelle, Attractive balanced puppy who shows a super profile when something catches her eye, good length of head, neat ears, nicely arched neck, well ribbed back, strong quarters and tailset but today she didn't move as her construction suggested she could. JB (4 2) 1st Anderson's Kerrykeel Caragh A lot to like about this 17 month old girl and her fun loving character is charming! Lovely head and ears, good length of neck into well laid shoulders strong back and quarters, a shade wide in rib at present. Well presented. YB (3 1) 1 st Lovelaces's Pearl's a Singer, Head of good length, keen expression, ears a little light,nicely arched neck, firm topline,rib a shade wide,well made quarters good turn of stifle well presented, moved well. PG B 2 1st Fitter's Ghyllslap Limerick would prefer a little more length to her head but she has well set ears completing a keen expression, nice size, good coat and texture, moved freely. LB 4 1 st Davidson's Saradon Miss Davidson Possesses that delicate balance of beautiful construction with substance and elegance. A classic head and expression, well set ears, nicely arched neck into well laid fine shoulder and straight front tidy feet, firm topline well, made quarters, her tailset and carriage completed a lovely picture, moved very well.CC and Res B.O.B. OB 3 1st Bentley's Ch.Norakim Tango of Newguild Impressive feminine bitch with a well balanced head and lovely conformation throughout, showing a racy outline, quality coat and furnishings, carries herself with a superior presence , a worthy champion and a hair splitting decision in the challenge.
