IRISH THREE COUNTIES 16 Judge: Mrs G Jane Lilley BEST OF BREED : 2714 BARKER, Mr & Mrs A & J & AVERIS Mr J US Irvonhill Leave It To Me IRISH JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 16 Irish Terriers A joy to judge this fascinating friendly breed, who always seem to have just a good a sense of humour as their owners. PD (4) 1 Rundle’s Sidewater Sea Fury, very smart, typy & beautifully presented, in good coat & condition with well shaped head & such a superior expression. Excellent topline & balance with good layback of shoulder & depth through the heart. He went well. Most exciting. BP & RCC; 2 Lee’s Montelle Finnigan, he too moved well with good depth of chest, topline can still firm; 3 Bradley’s Montelle I’m Here Too. JD (2) 1 Cooke’s Montelle Carvillius Gold, holds himself very proudly, handsome masculine head. A happy showman with tail constantly awag, good shoulder & depth through the heart; 2 M I’m Here Too, another typy one who went well, enjoying himself to the full if a bit overenthusiastic with lift to his front legs on the move. PGD (1) 1 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Ruaraidh, such a well shaped head with dark expressive eye, excellent pigment & harsh jacket. Very steady & accurate on the move. OD (1) 1 Thomas’ Montelle Royal Leader at Sunnystone, handsome, well balanced masculine fellow, in superb harsh mature coat & hard condition. So well made all through with all the parts fitting firmly into the whole with good shoulder, depth of chest & well muscled quarters, good tailset & carriage. Most impressive on the move, reflecting the excellence of his make & shape. CC which, I gather, is his second. He surely deserves his title. PB (2) 1 Hemmings & Grant’s Courtington Storm Angel, already a very mature showgirl at just 7 months in excellent coat & condition. Lovely feminine head, moved extremely well with good length of stride in profile. Very smart; 2 Walker’s Montelle I’m A Lady Too, very happy with non-stop wagging tail. Well balanced, can still firm a touch in topline. Very accurate mover, in good coat & hard muscular condition. JB (5,1) 1 Dancer & Hargreave’s Montelle Sirona Flame, so good for type with lovely head, excellent topline & depth through the heart, in harsh coat & hard condition. Good layback of shoulder & well muscled quarters. Very good mover; 2 Inker & Isaacs’ Kerrykeel Brigit, very stylish if a touch longer in muzzle than the winner. Well laid shoulders. A good mover with well set & carried tail; 3 Dixon’s Rooikopjie Peggy Lutti. PGB (3,1) 1 Moakes’ Kebulak Red Hot in Jomoaka, so well made all through with beautiful head, eye & expression. Well balanced with good layback of shoulder & well muscled quarters. Such a very good mover. Just needs that little extra confidence to use her tail as she has everything else to take her to the top; 2 Hardman’s Kerrykeel Shauna, happy personality, who went well with good topline, tailset & carriage. LB (6,3) 1 Nevill’s Rosemonelle Isabella, decent shoulder & strongly muscled quarters with deep chest & even topline. Very good mover, who just scored on her length of stride in side gait; 2 Anderson’s Kerrykeel Brianna, a happy showgirl, just a little longer in body than the winner, again with a decent shoulder. Very accurate on the move; 3 Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Whisper at Ruffmar. OB (4) Such a high quality class. 1 Barker & Averis’ US Irvonhill Leave It To Me, one with the definite wow factor. Superbly presented, so typy & balanced. Excellent for size, type, make & shape with good depth through the heart, in harsh wiry jacket & the hardest of condition. Beautiful head, with such a superior expression in her dark well shaped eyes. A great showgirl, she holds herself with justifiable pride, her movement merely confirming the excellence of her conformation. CC which, I gather is her fifth in a row, BOB &, I was delighted to hear later G2; 2 Anderson’s Ir Kerrykeel Aoife, so close up that it would have been easier to have had two big green edged cards here. Greatly admired her as at just 8 months old giving her BPIS3 at Banbury in 2013 & she has matured into something very special. So well made & balanced with all the parts fitting smoothly & accurately into the whole. Super mover with excellent topline. Most exciting. RCC; 3 Bamsey’s Ch Holbam Pearly Star. JANE LILLEY
