Three Counties 11 Judge

IRISH THREE COUNTIES 11 Judge: Miss A E Batley IRISH JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 11 I always enjoy the Three Counties Show, and was lucky with the weather. The quality of Irish Terriers is most disappointing, except for the top dogs. Movement in most cases was very poor and there is no uniformity in size. I found no cracked pads or incorrect mouths. The Irish temperament is still very good, feisty yet gentle with people. Some serious thought needs to be given to breeding. PD(2) 1 Seabridge's Sujoncla Kowtolik. Good length of head, nice arch to neck, level topline, ears a little high, movement poor. RCC. 2 Grant's Kerrykeel Cormac At Ticknock. On its toes, straight front, good expression, shoulders laid back, ear set correct, good depth of rib. PGD (1) 1 Bamsey's Holbam Winslow King. OD (4, 2) 1 Gruettner's Maximo Von Der Emsmuehle. Stood out for quality, a real Irish Terrier, good length of head, nice expression, ears well placed, correct mouth, shoulders laid back to a nice reach of neck, correct length of body, straight front, moved well, good quality, well balanced dog. CC and BOB. 2 Bradley's Montelle Viscount Erhard. PB(4, 1) 1 Blower's Wyndam Slightly Foxed Of Turith. Good jacket of deep colour, nice size, well balanced dog, good expression with well placed ears, level topline, good length of neck, showed well. BP. 2 Bamsey's Holbam Tierneys Girl. Irish expression, level topline, good tailset, ears well placed, moved ok going away. 3 Hemmings' Kerrykeel Roisin Of Courtington. Good head and front, correct tailset, good length of loin, movement not great, showed well. JB (1) 1 Bradley's Montelle Leading Light. Good arch to neck, nice expression, ears a little low set, size needs watching, dip in topline. PGB(2, 1) 1 Gummow's Pinleygreen Cassiopeia. Not the most enthusiastic of show girls, ears nicely settled, good jaw, straight front, elbows well tucked in, head of moderate length, hocks well let down. LB(2) 1 Bradbury's Montelle Ring Of Gold. Good length of head, nicely balanced, straight front with elbows well tucked in, movement could be better. RCC. 2 Ruffles' Ruffmar Bronzed Ballerina. Nice length of head, ears rather low set, good expression, correct bite, balanced dog. OB(3, 1) 1 Gruettner's Minze Von Der Emsmuehle. Lovely mover, good head carried proudly on nicely arched neck, ear placement correct, strong body with good loin, straight front and good shoulders, well laid back, showed well. BCC. 2 Hemmings' Courtington Karina. Pleasing bitch with good neck and shoulders, strong rib, level topline with good tailset, movement good in front. Miss A. E. Batley |
