1. Richards’ Lodgecroft Singing Master. Two nice pups challenged here with this 7 mth old coming out on top. I thought him great quality and he showed like a dream and used himself at all times. Super outline, graceful and racy as called for in the standard with excellent neck, firm topline with ribcage carried well back, muscular loin and tail set on high and of excellent carriage. Quality headpiece with flat skull, the best of eyes and ears, good length to foreface, strong jaws and scissor bite. Correct angles front and rear and stands true in front on excellent feet. Certainly didn’t disappoint on the move, accurate on the down and back and moving freely on the go around with good carriage. CC and Best Puppy. Pleased to see he later took Puppy Group 4.

2. Cooke’s Montelle Flash Light TAF. This 9 mth old was absolutely full of it and was thoroughly enjoying his time in the ring! He also pleased and I thought him so good for type. Balanced outline with clean neck of good length, straight back, good length to ribcage and tail good for set and carriage. Super head and expression; of good length, flat skull, good eye and ear and correct dentition. Pleasing angulation both ends and he stands well naturally. When gaiting he went very well on the go around, has an excellent rear and although good when coming towards, the winner had the edge. Good texture to jacket.

1. Thomas & Print’s Bilarny Hotcross Bun. 13 mth old standing alone here. Excellent length of neck, firm topline but perhaps could have a tad more length to him, correct ribbing with good depth to brisket, muscular loin and tail set on well. Head of good length, flat skull which is quite narrow between his correctly set ears, eyes could be a tad darker, good chiselling and correct dentition. Moves well when going away but could open up more on the go around. Good quality jacket.

1. Howarth’s Niddrua Lightning Bolt. Two very different dogs challenged here. My winner was this 23 mth old who was so very well presented. I would have liked a little more length to him but otherwise he has plenty to like. Neck of good length, firm level back, good depth to chest, muscular loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Attractive head and expression with flat, rather narrow skull, nice dark eyes, excellent ears, strong jaws and scissor bite. Pleasing angles both ends, stands true in and moved well on the go around. Jacket of good texture.

2. Oliver’s Rufous Gubbeen of Cleeve. 2 yr old who is racier in outline than the winner with very good neck, firm straight back, deep brisket, well-muscled loin and tail of good set but not quite carriage of 1. Head and expression couldn’t compete with that of winner, having somewhat looser ears and eyes could be a shade darker to enhance. Correct angulation front and rear and he stands well naturally. Went well when viewed in profile. Good quality jacket.

OD (1,0)

1. Averis & Ryan’s Holbam Ace of Saredon (AI). 23 mth old who is all male and I thought an excellent type, carrying plenty of substance and was so good to go over. Excellent neck, correct length to give balance, deep brisket and ribbing carried well back, muscular loin and tail just right for set and carriage. Masculine headpiece with flat skull, good eye and ear, strong, muscular foreface and correct dentition. Standing true in front on very good feet and with correct bone throughout. Goes so well when viewed in profile and was very well handled here. Excellent coat and presentation. RCC.

JB (2,0)

1. Gummow’s Pinleygreen Irish Star for Montelle Taf. I thought this 12½ mth old girl quite exciting and she appealed for type and was so good to go over. She presented just the outline I was looking for; racy with and excellent neck to give balance, firm level topline, super ribbing, well-muscled loin and tail correct for both set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with excellent eye and ear, strength throughout and scissor bite. Soundly constructed all through, stands on super feet and moved true when coming and going and certainly has that ‘look at me’ attitude. CC & BOB.

2. Kucza’s Amberville No One Like You. Coming up to 16 mths, this girl didn’t quite have quite the length of back of winner but she pleased for neck, is firm in topline, has good depth to chest and tail is good for set and carriage. Feminine head with good skull, ears set on correctly and eyes of good colour but overall I preferred expression of 1. Straight forelegs and good feet and moved true on the down and back but winner opened up more on the go around. Well handled.

PGB (1,0)

1. Fitter’s Ghyllslap Limerick. 2 yr old who pleased for length of neck, is firm in topline and ribbed well back but could have a tad more depth to brisket. Feminine head with flat skull which is rather narrow between her well set ears, eyes could be darker to enhance expression, strong jaws and correct dentition. Moderately angulated front and rear and she moved pretty well all through but I felt she could have made a little more of herself as she went.

LB (1,0)

1. Thomas & Print’s Bilarny Edna Cotton Socks. This 3 yr old is out of a somewhat larger mould. Neck of good length, firm straight back, good depth to brisket, ribcage extending well back, muscular loin and tail of correct set. Feminine in head with top of ear above level of skull, good dentition but would like to see more chiselling below the eyes to enhance expression. Another who moved well enough but could have used herself more to advantage.

OB (4,1)

1. Bentley’s Ch Norakim Tango of Newguild. Just coming up to 3 yrs, this girl has so much to like and I thought her an excellent type and she presented a correct racy outline. Super neck, firm topline, super ribbing, muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Most attractive head with feminine expression; good length throughout with flat skull, very good eye and ear and correct dentition. Good angles front and rear and she stands on very good feet. Certainly didn’t let herself down when gaiting and was so very well handled here. RCC.

2. Oliver’s Ch Kerrykeel Aobheann. This 5 yr old girl was another of quality and she made the most of herself at all times and was handled to advantage. She presented a lovely outline with excellent neck, level topline, good depth to brisket with ribbing carried well back, firm loin and tail good for set and carriage. Feminine head with correct ears and nice dark eyes but overall I preferred expression of winner. Well constructed all through and she stands nice and straight in front on good feet. Exceptional profile action. Good quality jacket.

3. Case’s Kerrykeel Koire Ir Jun Ch

VB (1,0)

1. Karau’s Balirolyat Molly's A Diva. Feminine 7 yr old with neck of good length but not quite flow into shoulders, firm in topline, ribbed well back, muscular loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Good length to head with flat skull, pleasing eye and ear, strength to jaws and correct dentition. Standing nice and straight in front and is moderately angulated front and rear. Moves pretty well throughout. Good texture to jacket. Well handled. Best Veteran.
