IRISH SKC MAY 17 Judge: Mrs Z Thorn-Andrews (Drakeslea BEST OF BREED : 6327 HEMMINGS, Mr I & GRANT Mrs S Courtington Storm Angel (ai) TAF IRISH JUDGE SKC 17 Irish Terriers PD (1) 1 McGhie’s Saredon No Trouble at Keillor, good lengthy head, still has some black in it wich is OK for age. Excellent size, bone & well up on his feet. Lean body, well set tail, super hard coat. A bit too wide moving in rear but lovely in front & profile for his age. Promising. JD (1) 1 CC, Seabridge & Goddard’s Sujoncla Little Powder with Oudenarde, very smart & has a great deal of breed type, classy head, one ear still a little wayward, most superb front & immaculate front movement, good body, correct depth for age, super rear, back coat a touch soft as yet, but leg hair OK so that will come. Moved really smartly & true. PGD (0). LD (1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Warrior, a touch wide between the ears, but skull is flat, good neck, a bit too forward in shoulders which affects his front movement. Lovely body & loin. Tail set on nicely & super quarters. Rear movement really true & precise. In good jacket. OD (2) 1 RCC, Cooke’s Ch Montelle Carvillius Gold, hard & fit, moved well up & down but a little stiffly in profile as did 2nd. In lovely coat, super head & ears dropping nicely, elegant neck & good legs & feet; 2 Anderson’s Ben-oskar Vom Obersten Holz at Kerrykeel, another hard & fit Irish, admired his head & strong jaws, good front, Ok in body & ribbing, well set tail, too straight in quarters & moved stiffly in rear. VD (2) 1 Cook’s Montelle Ring Master at Terrahawk, in super condition & hard & fit, excellent coat texture & colour. Head a touch too broad, moved well, deep enough & super temperament; 2 Hardman’s Drumbilla Diablo Amidst Bonosue, a nice type & willing to move & was precise up & down. Body very thin & he has no muscle whatsoever, & weepy eyes. In better condition he would do well. PB (1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Miss Chief, very immature but coming on the right way. Ears a little heavy otherwise good head & expression. Neck flows nicely into shoulders, good bone for size & pleasing body & ribbing, true moving but looks as if a few more months will help her come on. JB (1) 1 BP, Atkin’s Holbam Celtic Summer, really admired this puppy, she is forward in maturity, lovely head, ears could be set a touch better maybe. Super neck & front, perfect upper arm slope, good topline & quarters & a hard impressive coat for age. Moved truly & stylishly. PGB (2,1a) 1 Stahle & Nichols’ Chantalle’s Sweet Mairead, hard & fit & beautifully muscled up, pleasing head, good neck, very rounded over croup & tailset too low, firm legs. Moved wide in front & rear unfortunately on the day. LB (4) 1 CC & BOB, Hemmings & Grant’s Courtington Storm Angel, athletic, racy & full of life, I was very taken with her, shows her conformation off beautifully & has a perfect topline & a super coat, I liked her a lot, a quality bitch in great form; 2 RCC, Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Whisper at Ruffmar, neat, good to go over & also well made, she has taken off all her foot hair which detracts a bit, balanced & holding a lovely topline, she did appeal greatly; 3 Hargreaves & Dancer’s Montelle Sirona Flame. OB (2) 1 RCC, Barker & Averis’ Us Ch Irvonhill Leave It To Me, good quality bitch in hard condition & very neatly presented. Lovely head & eyes, good front & rear, dips int opline which shows on the move. A quality bitch though; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Whippersnapper, outclassed by winner, as she hackneys badly in front, she is fit & has muscletone, good harsh coat & lovely body. VB (0).
