IRISH SKC AUGUST 11 Judge(s) MRS S SEABRIDGE DCC AM CH FLEET ST FENWAY FAN (MR A & MR V BARKER & MALZONI) IRISH JUDGE SKC AUGUST 11 Irish Terriers JD (1) 1 Kenyon’s Wyndam Jolly Swagman, smart 9 months puppy, up to size but everything in balance. Once settled showed a lovely outline, long head with flat skull, used his ears well giving good expression, good length of neck, well laid back shoulders, moderate length of back & loin. Slightly loose in hindquarters & hocks, however has time on his side for them to tighten up. Clean feet, super coat & presentation. BP. PGD (1) 1 Cook’s Montelle Ringmaster at Terrahawk, sound young dog, good ears used well. A little broad in skull. Good mouth, moderate length of neck, strong shoulders, well ribbed back & well muscled thighs, moved OK. Good texture of coat, just needs finer trimming. Clean feet, well handled. LD (2) 1 Pratt’s Terrijay Whynot, smart young dog who came into the ring like he meant business, good head with flat skull & well used ears, correct mouth, fair length of neck, well laid back shoulders, deep chest, strong back & loin, muscular thighs, well let down hocks, good tailset, clean feet, correct size, super coat & presentation, moved sound both ways. RCC; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Eric The Red, good long head with flat skull & well placed ears, moderate length of neck, good shoulders. Would benefit from a little more body condition & coat. Clean feet, handled by a young lady who I hope we see more of in the future. OD (3) 1 Barker & Malzoni’s Ch/Am Ch Fleet Street Fenway Fan, what a pleasure to go over such a sound well constructed dog, long head & flat skull, correct placement of ears giving that Irish expression, fair length of neck, long well laid back shoulders, combined with free moving elbows gives him that correct front movement, well ribbed back with muscular hindquarters & good second thigh, tail well set, super coat & presentation, clean feet, moved sound front & back. CC, BOB & G3; 2 B Eric The Red. JB & PGB (0). LB (2) 1 Bradbury’s Montelle Ring Of Gold, quality bitch, not happy with her surroundings. Long head with flat skull, good strength of underjaw, well placed ears, correct mouth, fair length of neck, well laid back shoulders, moderate length of back & well muscled loin, good hindquarters with plenty behind the tail, clean feet. Unsettled on the move; 2 Hardman’s Bonosue Snow Storm, good head, flat skull, moderate length of neck, good shoulders, well ribbed back, good tailset, clean feet, good crisp coat, moved OK. OB (2) 1 Barker & Averis’ Am Ch Limericks Sancerre, good quality bitch who had the misfortune of meeting her sire on the day. Pleased to give her the CC but it was a close decision. Long head & flat skull, correct ear placement, fair length of neck, fine shoulders, moderate length of back & loin, good hindquarters with correct bend of stifle, hocks well let down, clean feet, super coat & presentation. CC; 2 Willianson & Sterling’s Ch Montelle Mi’Lady, another quality bitch although a veteran now still deserved RCC. I judged her as a puppy, loved her head proportions. Long head, flat skull, correct ear placement & strength of underjaw, fair length of neck, good shoulders, moderate length of back, good hindquarters & well laid down hocks, clean feet, moved well.
