NEITC Ch 18 Judge

                       North of England Championship Show 4th November

My first CC appointment judging a breed that I’ve loved since childhood . I believe that my Uncle Alex Martin judged this show in the past, so it made the appointment even more special . Many thanks to the Comm for the
opportunity , also to my Steward and the Exhibitors. Was delighted with the overall quality of the Entry.
SB.D. (1)  1 Baines Back to Back, typy , correct bite, flat skull, good coat, decent body length, moved ok

1 McSally’s Mister Malachi 9 month old pup of good type, good mouth, decent bone and substance for age, good length of body , well muscled behind

1 RCC BPIS Blower’s Turith Adonis . quality youngster that displays many good breed virtues he has a good clean head, nice eye, well placed ears, straight front,  nice reach of neck , well laid shoulders, good depth of brisket , firm loin, good set on 

2 Bradley’s  Montelle Look of Gold another of good quality,  good in head, neck and shoulders,  good racy body, good coat, he was hard work for his handler on the day

1 CC BOB BIS Averis , Barker @ Hardman’s Red Lucifer at Bonsue high quality youngster that teems with quality, lovely lean head and expression, good reach of neck and layback of shoulder, good depth of brisket , firm
loin , good quarters and set on, in excellent coat and condition as one would expect from this kennel

1 Bower’s Lakeridge Riordan nicely balanced dog, good head eye and ears. good reach of neck well placed shoulders , good depth of brisket, well muscled quarters , moved well

Strong class of high quality dogs .

1 Anderson’s Ben-Oskar Vom Obersten Holz at Kerrykeel , he has the
typical Irish Spirit that some of the dogs today lack, quality dog with a good head and expression . good front , tight feet, good length of body , good strong quarters , in good coat and condition

2 Delaney’s  Ir Ch Carliams Red Alert
 good head with keen expression, racy outline , good reach of neck , firm loin , good set on presented in first class order.

1 McSally’s Altine Brilliant Light decent  type, good bite, flat skull, coat of good texture , moved ok

1 Hardman’s Bonsue Red Tess 8month bitch of good breed type, good head and expression, nice reach of neck , well constructed body , good coat and colour, firm hindquarters  , moved ok

1 Anderson’s  Kerrykeel Naoise nice sort of bitch with a good head and expression, nice reach of neck into good shoulders well made body of good length, tail on top , good coat and condition , steady on the move

2 Cooke’s Royal Lady at Montelle another nice bitch , good in head , neck and shoulders,good coat. good quarters and set on 

3 Price’s Magairlin Black Magic Woman

1 Howarth's Looker’s Kells Hot Tempest quality bitch, clean lean head, flat skull , to be hypercritical would prefer better ears,  good clean front, good neck and shoulders nice length of body, good set on, in good coat and condition sound 

2 Hobson’s Erridwiltsir Irish Bells another attractive bitch of good breed type has a good head eye and ears, shows a nice outline , in good coat and condition , just moved a shade close behind,

3 Hardman’s Bonsue Whippersnapper.

1 CC RBIS Averis Barker @ Goddard’s Ch September on Irvonhill a quality bitch that I have admired from the ringside, it was a pleasure to go over  best of heads and expression , good neck and shoulders balanced racy body, tight feet, tail on top,  presented in first class order

2 RCC Flessner’s Che Ch Galahad’s Guardian Twenty of Tara , nice size balanced bitch , good head, correct ear set , nice reach of neck, good topline , in good order

Special Awards Stakes

Judge Mrs Shauna Fryer (Hopecharm)

I would like to thank the committee for the honour of judging the Special Awards Stakes Classes, and to the exhibitors for giving me the chance to go over their lovely Irish Terriers.

Special Open Dog  5 (2) abs

1st Mrs G Thomas, - CH Lead the Way to Montelle, - excellent long head, flat skull, lovely expression, with strong jaw and mouth. Lovely ears small, of good shape and thickness.  Good neck into well laid shoulders,
Nice for Size, lovely colour and pigments. Chest deep, good length of body. Well let down hocks, pasterns short and straight, moved very well.  Feet good, no cracks or horny growths

2nd  Mr K & Mrs W Bower, - Lakeridge Riordan –  again excellent head and expression, strong jaw, and mouth, good bone. Racy outline, hocks well set down, good clean feet.

Special Open Bitch 8 (2) abs

1st Mr C & Mrs J Pratt, - Saredon Leading Lady of Terrijay – lovely feminine bitch, good outline, excellent head and expression, strong jaw with scissor bite. Deep chest, good bone, well-muscled.
Strong hind quarters, well let down hocks. Racy outline, Crisp coat of good colour.
Good clean feet.

2nd Mr D & Mrs Howarth & Mrs J Looker, - Kells Hot Tempest – good outline, well placed ears, long strong head. Well set shoulders, good rear angulation. Moved well.  Good colour and pigment.
