IRISH MIDLAND COUNTIES 25 Judge: Tracy Jones hank you to Midland Counties Canine Society for the opportunity to judge the wonderful Irish Terrier. Also a huge thanks to all the exhibitors for giving me the chance to go over their precious dogs and for taking my decisions sportingly and with grace. There were decisions made that were a close call. I was not disappointed with the boys and girls I had presented to me they are a credit to their owners and handlers. Class 1881. Puppy Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Montelle All Is Bright (ai) NAF (Miss A Bradley) Quality 6 month old puppy with good balance. Wire coat of good quality. Pleasing head, scissor bite good dark eye colour and shape to his head with an ear carriage that finished off his look. Level topline that he held when he moved and a good tail carriage. A lively baby boy that gave off an excellent personality. I was delighted to award him Best puppy in breed and to see him do so very well in the group. BP in breed.TPG2 Class 1882. Junior Dog Entries: 0 Absentees: 0 Class 1883. Post Graduate Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st Apispolb Fleet Street (ai) (Mr S Chilvers) Quality lad with substance but not overdone. Although he was alone he caught my eye immediately on entering the ring. A nice size, balanced and a racy outline. A lovely head with a scissor bite,well placed ears, dark eye, a strong neck going into a well placed shoulder. A deep chest and strong. Good rear end that has a well turned stifle good pads. Harsh coat that was in good condition. Level topline that he held when he moved true and with purpose. A credit to his owner this boy was shown in fit condition and very well handled he oozes quality and type. I liked him very much. I will watch his progress with great interest. BOB. Open Dog Entries: 3 Absentees: 0 1st Holburn Midsummer Knight at Ruffmar (ai) JW ShCEx OSW (Miss M Ruffles) Three year old boy with a good expression and alert today. A strong head, neat ears and correct eye shape and colour an arched neck on decent shoulders favourable straight front. And a scissor bite. This lad sports a correct wire coat that was well presented. Neat feet and a fit dog that went well for his handler. He was balanced and gave off an appealing outline. RBD 2nd Montelle Flash Light to Lionwood ( Mrs AJ Cooke) In proportion to the boy and gave off a very pleasing outline. Good strong head and ear carriage and dark eye and flat skull. good neck and shoulders, s excellent tail set, great depth of chest and muscular, Balanced boy with a wire coat in good order and a level topline. Shown in fit condition and well handled. challenged the winner hard today. 3rd Bilarmy HotcrossBun ( Miss M & Mr I Thomas & Print ) Veteran Dog 1st- Int/sw/fin/est INT?Fin/ESTCh Red Lucifer at Bonosue VW (re-Imp) (Mr I A Hardman) Worthy champion. Lovely pigmented lad and a super overall appearance, balanced great head and ear carriage. Strong yet not overdone all round. Level topline deep rib and good tail set. Moved out well on those great legs and feet. Shown in fit condition and well presented. A great personality had a glint in the eye which showed his great expression BVIB 2nd - Kerrykeel Conchobhar at Xanwil (Mr B M & Mrs A J Atwell) Good head on this lad scissor bite a lovely shape, dark eye and ear carriage.A good reach in the neck on decent shoulders. Level topline and strong rear, Good wiry coat of the correct colour.A cracking personality. Special Beginners Dog Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st- Bilarny Hotcross Bun (Miss M & Mr I Thomas & Print) Good racy outline and attractive head. Dark eyes and neat ears, a decent neck on good shoulders with a level topline. Moved well and well angulated. A decent dog that has a good coat, wiry coat and colour. Delighted to see a SBTG2. Puppy Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st- Gracie May (Mr Mj & Mrs Sa Bamber) 10 month old girl of good pigmentation and a wire coat. Good length and expression . nice head and dark eye with good ear carriage and a scissor bite. Straight legs and good pads. The straight front level topline gave a pleasing overall appearance. A wonderful sweet personality. Well handled and presented. 2nd-Bilarny My Fair Lady (Miss I Humphrey) 7 month old girl so still a baby is up to size and with a wiry coat and decent colour. Good head and a scissor bite with good ears. Level topline, enough rib and good length. In tune with her handler and a delightful puppy. Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 1 Absentees: 0 1st - Apispolb Standing Stones (ai) (Mrs C Chilvers Sound girl with a good headpiece on her. Good dark eye, scissor bite and overall expression. Racy and a balanced shape . level topline and good front with decent feet. Neck and shoulders too.was A nice girl who was close to getting BB. Moved well and purposefully. She made me look at her more than once. Well handled and presented. RBB 2nd-5114 - Kerrykeel Beibhinn at Xanwil (Mr B M & Mrs A J Atwell) Alert girl with a lovely colour and a wiry coat. Lovely head,scissor bite good ears and fib.decent legs and pads. Moved well and handled well. Another that was making me look like a cheeky girl that was missing nothing and delightful. Post Graduate Bitch Entries: 2 Absentees: 0 1st Apispolb Standing Stones (ai) (Mrs C Chilvers This girl took my eye when she entered the ring. Smart lass femiininity is all hers. Lovely head who used her ears well. Scissor bite and dark eye with a great expression. good neck and shoulders, deep chest and level topline. Great coat wiry and good colour. Moved out well with ease Good rear angulation and pads to the feet. A girl I couldn't resist i will watch her progression with interest. Handled and presented well. BB, RBOB 2nd- Bonosue Shooting Star (Mr I A & Mr M Hardman & Bamber) Pleasant to look at with a good overall balance. Good head and bite with a decent ear. Straight legs and good feet.
