IRISH TERRIER

All exhibits were very well presented and coats were by and large very good. However several otherwise good dogs, especially the younger ones were spoiled by very unsettled movement which was therefore difficult to assess

PD (2)

1. Taylor's Holbam Tierneys Guinness, 7 month old boy. Correct size for age and well balanced. Nice head with good ear carriage. Good harsh coat. Very unsettled on the move.

2. Redman's Applerock Lord Stefan, up to size for his age. Good length of neck. Preferred head of the winner. Again difficult to assess movement as so unsettled

JD (2) 1. Taylor's Holbam Tierneys Guinness 2. Redman's Applerock Lord Stefan

PGD (1)

1. Bamsey's Holbam Winslow King. Very well presented dog in excellent hard condition with good coat. Racy appearance. Lovely head and expression and used his ears well. Good substance but would like to see more depth of chest .needs to tighten front movement. RBD

OD (2,1)

1. Bradley's Montelle Viscount Erhard, Well balanced dog with good substance and in good hard condition .Racy outline. Good depth of chest and very nice front. Good shoulders. Nice head with lovely ear carriage. Good dark eyes. Excellent rear construction and well angulated. Moved very well in class and dog challenge, pity he couldn't maintain it and was so unsettled when challenging for BOB! BD

PB (3)

1. Bradbury's Montelle Ring of Gold. A stunning young bitch who shone from the moment she entered the ring. Correct size with just enough substance. Lovely balanced outline. Beautiful head and ear carriage and typical expression. Good length of neck adding to overall impression of elegance. Very nice front and shoulders. Good rear construction with correct rear angulation. Moved extremely well. BPIB, BB, BOB

2. Bradley's Montelle Leading Light. 7 month old bitch. Good coat. Nice head and ears. Unfortunately quite unsettled.

3. Bamsey's Holbam Tierneys Girl

JB (2,1)

1 Batley's Larkans Yasmine, a very petite and refined 14 month old bitch. Very harsh coat. Good top line with arched loin. Would have liked to see a little more Irish spirit when on the move

PGB (1)

1. Boyle's Montelle Moya - nicely proportioned feminine bitch with good outline. Excellent coat in perfect order. Lovely head and expression despite 'flying' her ears when moving. Superbly presented by her young handler who made the most of her good movement. RBB

Breeders Bradley's Montelle team, a very well matched trio of bitches who I was delighted to see later took G1 in the Breeders Group
