IRISH LEEDS 19 Judge: Mr Frank Kane BEST OF BREED : 2142 AVERIS, Mr J & BARKER Mr A Saredon Citizen Smith IRISH JUDGE LEEDS 19 Dogs were thin on the ground and the best of the entry would not show on the day. Bitches were very good all through. Many thanks to my stewards, John Shaw and Kevin Pyle. JD (1) 1 Averis & Barker’s Saredon Citizen Smith. Almost 12 mths, beautifully headed dog of excellent proportions, top size but full of quality and presented in excellent coat, movement can tighten up but I liked him a lot. Racy in outline. Won CC and BOB and BP. PGD (2, 1) 1 Bamsey’s Holbam Celtic Wizzard. 14 mths, a real teenager in body but he has good type in head, coat and colour, ears could be neater, good bone, I’s prefer a little more rear angulation, needs time for his middlepiece. LD (1) 1 SImons’ Saredon Red Berry. 2 yrs, full of type and a good mover. He has masculine head, ears could be neater, good depth and correct topline, he is just a little heavy in body for raciness. OD (2, 1) 1 Thomas’ Ch Lead THe Way To Montelle ShCM. The disappointment of the day, as he was very unsettled and on edge in the ring. 2 yrs old and a lovely dog all through, in glorious coat. Racy, full of quality and sound but a tail at half mast. He won Res CC on quality and type. SBD/B (1) 1 Simons’ Saredon Red Berry. PB (4) 1 Averis & Barker’s Saredon Mischievous. 11 mths, beautiful puppy with lovely head and eye and ears, superb bone and feet, excellent quarters, carries herself well. 2 Connell’s Sonorra Fire Bird. 11 mths, lovely outline and proportions with racy quality, not quite the ears of winner or her feet, but she is a touch racier. Two good ones for the future. 3 Bamsey’s Carliams Witching Hour. JB (1) 1 Redman’s Holbam Celtic Little Minx. 14 mths, quality bitch on racey lines, just a touch exaggerated in her rise over the loin, a good mover at both ends, could have a little more strength of foreface to balance her skull. Good coat. LB (3, 1) 1 Cooke’s Royal Lady At Montelle. 2 yrs, quality bitch of good breed proportions and correct in rib, feet can be firmer, good mover at both ends, has a good head but her eyes are a little too large and detract from expression. 2 Wortley’s Jarabica Tiger Lily. 4 yrs, a more compact bitch who has a good coat, good eye and expression, rear action a little close. Ears could be neater. I preferred the proportions of winner. OB (5) Best class of the day, full of quality. 1 Atkin’s Holbam Celtic Summer ShCM ShCEx. top sized bitch but lovely quality and racey outline and excellent colour, coat and movement. Could be a little more feminine in skull but I liked her superb legs and feet and carriage. The best mover in the class and these qualities gave her the CC, her second. 2 Connell’s Wyndam Nuala At Sonorra. I’ve liked her before and she has improved. 4 yrs old, lovely size and a beautiful eye and expression. I preferred front movement of the winner, who was showing with more spirit. Scored in eye to take this place and Res CC. 3 Pratt’s Ch Saredon Leading Lady Of Terrijay. Judge Frank Kane |
